Nicolas Sarkozy loses French Election

Socialist Francois Hollande defeated incumbent French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Before anyone sheds tears, Sarkozy was an admirer of Obama and supported the Islamic takeover of Libya. His loss will not make a difference. It is the French who will now pay the consequences of electing a Far Left Socialist.’

Socialist Francois Hollande has been elected as France’s new president.

He got about 52% of votes in Sunday’s run-off, according to early projections, against 48% for centre-right incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy.

Mr Sarkozy has admitted defeat, saying: “Francois Hollande is the president of France and he must be respected.”

Analysts say the vote has wide implications for the whole eurozone. Mr Hollande has vowed to rework a deal on government debt in member countries.

Exuberant Hollande supporters have already converged on Place de la Bastille in Paris – a traditional rallying point of the Left – to celebrate.

Mr Hollande capitalised on France’s economic woes and President Sarkozy’s unpopularity.

The socialist candidate has promised to raise taxes on big corporations and people earning more than 1m euros a year.

He also wants to raise the minimum wage, hire 60,000 more teachers and lower the retirement age from 62 to 60 for some workers.

Let the French reap what they sow.

That is an important number even 1% can make a big difference in an election… we must have voter ID’s if we are to have any resembalence to a free country.

75% top tax rate proposed there on people making more than $1 mil Euros. Socialists -- always with the class warfare.

We just got it here in PA, and the ACLU has already filed suit against it.

It’s racist, yo! How’s a Dem supposed to win if they can’t cheat?

I’ve got to show ID to exercise a G-d given right to bear arms, but if you want to vote -- ‘s okay, we believe you? Does not compute.

the government does not recognize this God you speak of, let alone any right(s) he may have given you, and there in lies the problem. However if you continue to speak of him you will cause them great discomfort…

the only way we ever helped France was the way they once helped us (albeit to spite the British) with blood and treasure. Our guns can’t help them now.

Their legislative elections are coming up in a few weeks. I think Marine LePen’s party will make bit gains at the expense of Sarkozy’s UMP. Sarkozy did not follow through on his promises to restrain the Muslim yoots.

In Greece, it seems some hardcore anti-immigration types may be getting a bigger voice.

Those are Neo-Nazis, they are no good. The better alternative is Independent Greeks. A new Rightwing Party that hates Islam.
