Political Cartoons by Glenn McCoy

Just so everyone understands where the starting point for any economic discussion begins and ends, tax rates have little to do with taxes paid. They only have a bearing on the taxes that the electorate realizes that they pay. The real taxation of the country is in direct correlation to what the government spends, period, dot, end of story. We all remember that Barack Obama famously stated as a candidate in 2008, “Let me be clear, for 95% of American Families, you will not see one penny of increase in any of the taxes you pay.” He then promptly levied a record burden on all of us, and then claimed that the evil rich sneakily shifted that burden somehow onto the down trodden.

Governing by dictatorial decree does not work. It works even less in a free society than it does for the dictatorial societies. Just ask Louie the XVI or Idi Amin Dada how it worked for their nations. One of the problems with our elite class of politicians who have decided to rule over us by executive fiat is that they have not a single clue as to what the heck they are doing. I don’t really mind that arrogant imbecile who will tell me relentlessly how much smarter than me he is. I only mind him when he has the authority to inflict his arrogant stupidity upon me in the form of economy killing decrees, which he may honestly believe will be to my benefit. One of the genius statements invariably made after each of these periods when the Democrat’s policies lead to unnecessary economic hardship is this, “don’t judge us by our results, our hearts were in the right place.”

Last night on MSNBC, Chris, “Tingles,” Matthews whined that many American businesses were hoarding cash, and not performing their purpose, which in his mind is solely to hire more workers, and that this is purposeful so as to have the economy tank in concert with the 2012 Presidential Election. Where does one start with this idiotic conspiracy theory? How about here, yes, American businesses are reluctant to invest their cash. It is in the reason that I disagree with Tingles. If it were your cash, would you put it at risk right now? Businesses, just like you, had to work for that capital. With the environment that exists for those people today, I don’t blame them. They do not know what their tax burden will be in 6 months, let alone in a few years. What they do know is that the President of the United States is traveling the globe telling anyone who will listen that business people are evil turds who stole their wealth off of the backs of the people whom they employ. They also know that if their businesses somehow succeed, despite the weight of the current bonanza of overbearing regulation, the government plans on taking every penny past a certain level of approved profit.

Next point, someone may wish to tell Tingles and the Zero that a business’ function is not to hire people. A business is there to make a living for its owners. Hiring people is a function of that end. Businesses make a profit by providing a needed or wanted product or service for the community as a whole, and many times employment of others is a consequence of that, but the business community owes nothing to the community beyond providing those goods or services for which it would be paid. Having Barack Obama and Chris Matthews announce yet again that Barack Obama decreed in January of 2009 that all businesses should begin hiring will still not cause that to happen.

What would create jobs would be to provide an environment where businesses could operate without the government placing itself in the way of success. some regulations are necessary, in order to provide a level playing field as far a preventing fraud and promoting transparency. When the government tells farmers that milk spills present the same dangers to a community as purposefully poisoning a water way, or that Americans are too stupid to buy the light bulbs that are better for them, that is waaaaaaaaaaay too far.

If you owned a business and it were your money at stake, what would you do? Our country does not need 4 more years of a man who has never successfully run so much as a lemon aid stand to tell us what will get economic activity going again. We need a man who actually has some semblance of an understanding of economic reality. Mitt Romney is not enough of a free marketeer for my taste, but he is one hell of an improvement over the Clown currently in charge.

Cross Posted at Musings of a Mad Conservative.

Rodan addendum: Romney’s calling out Obama on his out of touch statement about the private sector forced Obama to change his tune. The Pharaoh admits the economy is not good.

With Republicans seizing upon remarks he made earlier in the day that “the private sector is doing fine” – arguing that they show a president out of touch with an ailing economy — President Obama sought to clarify his remarks Friday afternoon.

“It’s absolutely clear the economy is not doing fine,” the president said while sitting alongside Philippines President Benigno Aquino in the Oval Office.

Romney forced Obama to do what no incumbent should ever do. Obama’s admission that the economy is not good has destroyed his case for re-election. All Romney has to do is run ads with Obama’s own words. Game set match and a win for Mitt Romney.

Obama knows nothing about private enterprise.
His only experience was a two year stint at a
public advocacy law firm, where he met the
    lovely Moochelle.
He referred to that time as “behind enemy lines.”

Yes, and he knows so much about the law that he and Michelle were both disbarred… In Chicago no less.

It seems pretty obvious that most Americans have convinced themselves that Obama is extremely intelligent. Which means that they think Obama is purposely destroying the economy or he is simply implementing a master political/economic philosophy. However it is far more likely that Obama is really quite stupid. His extraordinary lack of knowledge is glaringly obvious. His gaffes are telling. Exposing rudimentary gaps in pronunciation, context, geography, and scientific knowledge or economic facts. He appears not to read newspapers, histories, intelligence reports, or finance. This ignorance is compounded by his rote and repetitious use of left wing talking points. always couched in exactly the same language. Fair share, Congress must pass the “Jobs bill”, Bush, “folks”, etc. No matter what the question or venue. Then there is his obsession with golf, eating, celebrity, waving at the camera when with other world leaders, bragging, and obsessive use of “I”.
In other words, he shows every indication of Obama being an ill-educated imbecile, well over his head, pretending to be smart.

It’s the exact same thing as pleading no lo contendre in court. Disbarment is a legal process under which the State yanks your license. Upon receiving notification that the State Bar Association is holding hearings on your license many lawyers who know that they are about to be disbarred voluntarily surrender their licenses because it allows them to make the fictional assertion that they were not disbarred.

The straight forward fact is, that they were disbarred and the entire legal community knows it. This fiction is maintained solely for the purpose of not having to put on ones resume that they were disbarred.

Exactly, and like I said, in the legal community it is a difference without distinction. Their ability to claim they were not disbarred is purely a technical detail and every single lawyer in the country knows it.

I seriously doubt it, Kimberlin’s M.O. is to prevaricate and assert that exactly the things he is guilty were done to him by those responsible for bringing his misdeeds to light. Until Kinmerlin can provide certified unaltered non forged official police documentation proving he was SWAT’ed, he wasn’t, and even if he can provide that documentation, it doesn’t mean that he didn’t have one of his cohorts SWAT him on purpose for propaganda value.

Well not all on our side think that. I have no qualms using the Left’s evil tactics against them. If I think that way, there are others on the Right that won’t hesitate to use Leftist tactics. In this case, Kimberlin either made it up or a false flag. But there’s always a chance someone could have done it to make him taste his own medicine.

The story goes that Michelle surrendered her license
    due to financial misconduct.
BHO surrendered his because he lied on his application.
Is it true? I can’t find anything to controvert
    the stories.

What records of Obama’s have you ever seen. The Obama’s were both lawyers, they have had every legal document regarding them sealed by the courts and every charge against them reduced and then expunged.
I can provide evidence of that process.

First, he is a World Net Daily article (I know, it’s world net Daily) which has a screen capture of ARDC (Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Committee for the State of Illinois) of the status of Michelle Obama’s law license.

Here is the information contained in that screen capture, but from an entirely different and unrelated website.

    Full Licensed Name:
    Michelle Obama
    Full Former name(s):
    Michelle Lavaughn Robinson
Date of Admission as Lawyer by Illinois Supreme Court:
    May 12, 1989
    Registered Business Address:
    Not available online
    Registered Business Phone:
    Not available online
    Illinois Registration Status:
Voluntarily inactive and not authorized to practice law
Malpractice Insurance: (Current as of date of registration;consult attorney for further information)
No malpractice report required as attorney is on court ordered inactive status.

Public Record of Discipline and Pending Proceedings:
    None

Just like WND, Liberty News Online
provides a direct link to ARDC referencing their page on Michelle Obama.

Here is where those link now go.

And here is the new ARDC link to the official disposition of Michelle Obama’s law license.

You will note that the original ARDC page stated.

No malpractice report required as attorney is on court ordered inactive status.

    While the new page states,

No malpractice report required as attorney is on inactive status.

In other words, Michelle has had er record expunged and sealed. She was stripped of her license for Malpractice fraud.
