It has been reported now for several years that Hizb’Allah has Scud missiles. These weapons were stored in Syria and would only be transferred to Lebanon in the event of a war with Israel. With Assad losing parts of the country to the Muslim Brotherhood/Al-Qaeda linked Free Syrian Army, Hizb’Allah is now thinking of transferring these weapons to Lebanon. This could set the stage for Israel to make a tough decision. Strike the Scuds as they’re being transferred and risk an all out war with Hizb’Alllah or allow the convoys to proceed.
Concern is mounting in Israel over the possibility that Hezbollah will try to move sophisticated weaponry, including Scud missiles, from Syria to Lebanon to protect them in the event of Syrian President Bashar Assad’s downfall.
The concern stems from reports that Assad might be losing control over certain military capabilities including an air defense base which was captured by rebels earlier this week.

The understanding until now has been that the missiles would only be transferred to Lebanon in the event of a war with Israel but not before as to prevent a potential Israeli military strike.

If this happens and Israel becomes aware of the transfer, the government will have to decide if it should attack and intercept the transfer or ignore it to prevent such a strike from escalating into an all-out war with Hezbollah and Syria.
Israel can’t let the weapon transfer occur. They should strike the convoys once they are in Lebanese territory. If it means a conflict with Hizb’Allah, then all Israel should do a total war style of fighting on the Shia parts of Lebanon.

Risk a war with Hezbollah? I pretty much think they are already at war. Those scuds will fall on Israel sooner or later, or never if they bomb them in transit. Not a tough call. In fact now would be a great time to attack Hezbollah, open up a second front against Iran.
The Boulder hippies were out protesting last weekend. “Don’t Attack Iran”. One of them had a “Justice for Trayvon” shirt. I engaged him in conversation for a few minutes -- mainly about Syria, and it went pretty well -- and then I parted with, “oh, I do have to disagree about one thing -
“Trayvon already got justice”
“Nice missiles you have there. It’d be a shame if something happened to them.”//
