A drunken driver killed an Upstate women’s son last year, and if the grief wasn’t enough, she’s had to deal with bills associated with the wreck, even for the cost of cleaning up her son’s blood.
A coroner called Loretta Robinson last June and told her that her oldest son, Justin Walker, died when his car was struck by a drunken driver on White Horse Road. “I never would have imagined getting that call,” she said. “Never in one million years expected that.”
Robinson looked Anna Gonzalez, the accused driver, in the eye in court Tuesday as Gonzalez pleaded guilty.
The grieving mother then showed the judge the many bills she’s had to pay, even though her son was not at fault.
Robinson said she paid to have the wrecked car stored for months, in case there was a trial.
“I had to pay to have the vehicle towed,” she said. “I had to pay for the vehicle removed and to clean up the street from Justin’s blood on the ground.”
Robinson said that was the bill that stung the most — paying $50 to have the street cleaned.
That may be the most horrible thing I have read in quite a while. And that is saying a lot. We all need to get this story out there.
I live in South Carolina and nothing here surprises me anymore. Nothing.
I was nauseated. And I’m sure the illegal alien driver will never be held responsible for the bill. The fact that they charged her for cleaning the clood and storage of the vehicle is disgusting.

They must have arrested her and she could not make bail, or perhaps was assured nothing but a slap on the wrist if that would happen to her.

Holder and the Injustice Department have decided that they will not cooperate with state LEO in identifying illegals on traffic stops. I hope that states will keep track of these “catch and release” scum. If it happens that an illegal scum sucker like Gonzalez is released for speeding and then goes on to subsequently kill, injure or maim someone, then Holder and Company and Big Sis need to be held accountable. I’m not sure if the government can even be sued for wrongful death, but this would cry out for it.
It reminds me of Chinese families having to pay for the bullet used to execute a family member. Certainly it is no real comparison because there was no state execution. The State wants you to pay for everything.
This lady should sue the city/state and federal government.

I am not an expert, but I doubt that the grabbermint or it’s officials can be held liable. Even so as the actions of this admin have so forcefully shown on many fronts we are decending into lawlessness with the grabbermint deciding what laws it will observe, enforce, or effectively create via executive order or bureaucracy at it’s whim.

A private citizen is not permitted to file suit, but States are certainly allowed to sue. Holder’s criminal inaction and gross negligence might be enough of a catalyst to holding the government responsible.

It’s probably written into the municipal code that she gets charged. I don’t know how to do it, but I’d start a Facebook page, with a PayPal account, and start asking for contributions. Then I’d get this story to Fox News and ask them to locate a spokesman for the municipality to come on air and explain this bullshit to the nation.
Actually, let me amend that. I’d give it to Greg Gutfeld and let him mock these assholes on Red Eye.
