Muslim Brotherhood takes control of Egypt: What it all means

by 1389AD ( 100 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Egypt, Leftist-Islamic Alliance, Muslim Brotherhood at June 27th, 2012 - 8:00 am

Front Page Magazine explains how it happened:

Muslim Brotherhood Claims Egypt’s Presidency

Mohammed Morsi
Mohammed Morsi, chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party, was declared the winner of the presidential run-off held last weekend in Egypt. Morsi defeated former Mubarak-era prime minister Ahmed Shafiq, garnering nearly 52% of the vote to Shafiq’s 48%. What does Morsi’s victory mean? And more importantly, what kind of relationship will the new president forge with Egypt’s ruling military council who just recently dissolved the legally elected parliament, eliminated the assembly set up to write the constitution, and issued a “constitutional decree” that emasculated the powers of the presidency?

There is no doubt that Morsi’s victory has profound implications for Egypt and for the region. The Muslim Brotherhood, despite Washington’s insistence that it has evolved into a moderate political party, has never wavered in its belief that Israel should be destroyed, and that sharia law be implemented throughout Egyptian society. The Obama administration chooses to ignore the Brotherhood’s radicalism and violent past, in order to stay engaged with the Arab world’s largest and most populous country.

But realpolitik has its limits. To believe that the Muslim Brotherhood has morphed into a moderate, responsible political party, you must deliberately ignore its actions and accept what it has said at face value.

Obama’s reaction is shameful, but certainly no surprise:

Breitbart: White House Joins Iran In Hailing Morsi Win In Egypt

Both Iran and the White House hailed the victory of Egypt’s president-elect Mohammed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood this weekend. For it’s part, the White House believes it represents a “milestone in (Egypt’s) transition to democracy,” while Iran views it as a “revolutionary movement of the Egyptian people… in its final stages of the Islamic Awakening and a new era of change in the Middle East.”

2.0: The Blogmocracy: Allen West calls for cutting off the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt

LTC. Allen West (R-FL) is one of the few politicians that stands up to the evil Saudi-Muslim Brotherhood Axis. As a Veteran of the Iraq War he knows who the real enemies of America are. Unlike the rest of the elected officials in the GOP, he knows the concept of spreading Democracy in the Islamic word is nonsense. In an act of bravery and defying the foreign policy establishment in his party, Allen West calls for cutting off the Muslim Brotherhood from US Tax dollars.

Michael Coren with Joe Klein: Obama’s support of the Muslim Brotherhood

Lilley & Coren: Egypt’s Mo Bro fascists and the Copts

Published on Jun 25, 2012 by SDAMatt2a

Brian Lilley reviews the unfettered evil of the muslim Brotherhood, and later Michael Coren joins him to discuss the conquest of the Christian heartland by islam and the outlook for the beleaguered Copts of occupied Egypt.

Brian Lilley lays on the sarcasm:

“Michael, why are there Coptic Christians in muslim lands? Why are they trying to infiltrate there and make their way in? These are muslim lands, places like Egypt.”

I have heard similar foolishness from the State Dept.(A wholly owned sudsidiary of the OIC) Saying that allowing the muzz their cal-e-fates that jihadism will cease. I don’t quite remember their naive platitudes to rationalize their allowing and assisting this to happen. I think it was along the lines that somehow with cal-e-fates the muzz won’t need to pursue jihad for some reason.

So is your house in the danger zone?

    On the Home front:

US Mortgage Applications Fell Last Week

Applications for U.S. home mortgages fell last week as refinancing applications for government loans slowed, an industry group said on Wednesday.

he Mortgage Bankers Association said its seasonally adjusted index of mortgage application activity, which includes both refinancing and home purchase demand, fell 7.1 percent in the week ended June 22.

The MBA’s seasonally adjusted index of refinancing applications decreased by 8.3 percent, while the gauge of loan requests for home purchases, a leading indicator of home sales, fell by 1.4 percent.

German Court Makes Circumcision for Religious Reasons a Crime

A German court has ruled that circumcising male infants for religious reasons, as Jews in particular have done for thousands of years, constitutes grievous bodily harm and is a crime, regardless of parental consent.

Rodan how did you fair through TS Debbie? Was thinking about you ….

I did fine. It’s just there are trees everywhere.. The whole state got drenched, but we did need the rain.

Good to hear. At first they didn’t know where it was going and I was keeping my eye on it and saw a lot of squalls thrashing your area.

You know he really does do that doesn’t he? If a state or a certain business or a certain area didn’t vote for him he really does take out revenge on them. Think Louisiana and the oil spill…the State didn’t vote him in and he handled the oil spill like it never happened and plus he refused to release booms around the nation to be brought here because…get this..there might be another oil spill…like those happen all the time. Not to mention he had to be forced to come down here. Disgusting ….

    @ PaladinPhil:
MY .02 worth? Put two containers of water, one at 100°C (boiling), and one at 35°C (just below body temperature) into the same freezing compartment, as the question stipulates, and what happens? The hot container will give off a lot of heat in a hurry, by radiation, convection, and outgassing of water vapor. Some of that heat will be absorbed by the container of “cool” water. At some point in time, the temperature of the two containers will be equal, and from that point onward, both will chill at the same rate. Since the water that was boiling has had the dissolved air driven out of it, it is purer, and will freeze first. Also, it may well have lost some volume due to the aforementioned outgassing of water vapor while it was hot, so it will freeze faster because there is less of it.

Recast the experiment using two separate, but identical freezers, and I suspect the result may differ.

It’s just as well that I haven’t been able to watch the Rockies this season.

I can’t afford to replace my plasma TV after breaking it…

You know after the election (he was voted in) he is supposed to govern all the people NOT JUST THE ONES THAT VOTED FOR HIM.
/I have never seen such a vindictive president …in fact I have never seen a president like he is..that says a lot because I was in my late teens during the Carter years. Right now he is making Carter look like a damn genius!… Carter did have one thing on him..I honestly don’t think Carter hated the United States. This preezy does.

They play so many games…that even if your team is doing bad all of a sudden they are on a hot streak.

    @ lobo91:

Also saw a bit of a clip last night on the TV …hubby was watching a news channel or watching a baseball game and a fan caught a pop-up fly ball and the umpire called it an out!!! Out of all the baseball I have watched…never heard of this type of call. ;)

    @ Lily:

    That’s not a proper call.

If the ball was in the stands, it was out of play. If the fan reached over the wall to catch it, it’s interference, which makes it a dead ball. Same result either way.

    @ lobo91:

Yeah that was my way of thinking. But the ump called it an out! I said to my husband “Wow there is a first!”.
