Yesterday I came home with a few artillary shells after work. My room mate asked me when I planned to shoot em. I told him I’d planned to pop them when the GF got off work.
He asked if she was working til midnight, and when I affirmed she was, he said he had to be in early to work, and he’d kill me or worse if I woke him with a bunch of fire works.
Well, When I got home with the Girl Friend, I called his cell. It ran and rang, but he answered it on the tenth ring of the second try.
I said, “Great, you’re awake”, and launched a couple of boomers.
revenge is gonna suck.

There were a couple of interesting stories on the BBC as I was coming to work this morning.
The first one had to do with the discovery of what appears to be the smallest fly species yet found. It’s an almost microscopic parasite that lays its eggs in the body of an ant. When the larvae hatch, they burrow into the ant’s head and eat it from the inside out. Eventually, the ant’s head falls off, “sometimes while the body is still walking around.”
Reminded me of about 52% of our population.
The other story had to do with how the South Koreans got themselves out of the financial crisis they suffered about 15 years ago. While they borrowed money from the IMF, they actually made meaningful cuts in spending, and repaid the loans. Today, they’re in fairly good shape.
The interesting thing was the way the population came together to get out of it. Women even donated their gold jewelry to help pay off the debts.
Compare that to what we see in Greece, where their new government has basically told the EU to stuff it when it comes to making any real cuts.
