Romney sets GOP fund-raising record, raises $100 million in June; and about that “freeloader” penalty tax…

I guess Dear Leader has every right to be worried about being the first president to be out-raised and outspent by his opponent. But let’s NEVER underestimate dumocrat chicanery, deceit, and outright theft when it comes to doing whatever it takes to win steal elections via voter fraud.

To those libtard losers, the ends justify the means. I mean, c’mon. How to you think that imbecile Al Franken ended up in the U.S. Senate? Or Christine Gregiore beat Dino Rossi to became the governor of Washington?

But that being said, the interesting thing to me is not that Romney raised more than Obama, but what an Obama hack/spokes-idiot named Ben LaBolt actually said after being told about the $100-million month:

“Mitt Romney is trying to distract from a week when he took contradictory positions on the freeloader penalty in the Obamacare Act and we learned more about his offshored finances in Switzerland, Bermuda, and the Cayman Islands.” (Note to Ben, it was not Romney who changed his position, it was Romney who corrected what one of his spokespeople mistakenly said). Anyway, back to my main point-

“FREELOADER PENALTY”???

Newsflash to Ben: Don’t you realize that the freeloaders, leeches, and parasites of America you seem to disdain are Obama’s and the rest of you dumocrats’ (and LGF’s, but I digress) core constituency? And that the “gimme more Obama money” crowd of lefty parasitic losers, along with the blacks, are the only group you can actually count on as dependable dumocrat votes every election (if they remember what day they’re supposed to vote)?

I wouldn’t doubt it if Je$$e Jerk$on, Al (Not-so) $harpton, and the rest of the libs’ race-baiting dumocrat poverty pimps would like to have a word with you for insulting their people.

And about Romney’s “offshored” finances, who cares? First of all, there’s no such word as “offshored”, and secondly, again, who the hell cares? My savings account at US Bank used to pay me a whopping .10% interest, yep, one tenth of one percent! And some saps only get half of that- .05%! Then I wised up and moved it to an IRA.

When Romney is asked to provide more details about his finances, he should ALWAYS respond that he would be happy to do so just as soon as Obango releases his high school and college transcripts. That issue must be brought up whenever he is accused of hiding something.

The notion that the supreme court decision about Obamacare is somehow a liability to Romney is ridiculous. It was not his program, he did not vote for it, and whether or not it is a tax is immaterial.

That said, the GOP had much stronger candidates than Romney on this issue, ones who would be in a much stronger position to oppose this outrageous entitlement which will further bankrupt our nation.

    Good piece and quite on-topic:

The Real-World Middle Class Tax Rate: 75%

The Left is so fond of “national conversations”, let’s have one on the REAL tax rates we’re paying. We can also have one about the REAl unemployment rate.

The contempt they feel for their core constituency is natural. After all, it takes a great deal of stupidity to still be for Obama, and Liberals consider themselves to be the smartest of the smart (ignore the basic contradiction here). They despise their supporters for being stupid enough to swallow the nonsense that democrats spew when running for office. I feel the same way about them.

O/T It happened again! Muzzy TSA agent lets passengers pass through unplugged metal detector.

Unplugged metal detector triggers JFK chaos

These fools are keeping us safe?!?

The TSA’s bungling reached a new low yesterday when a JFK Airport terminal had to be evacuated and hundreds of passengers marched back through security screening all because one dimwitted agent failed to realize his metal detector had been unplugged, sources told The Post.

The stunning error led to hours of delays, two planes called back from the runway and infinite frustration for furious passengers.

“The truth is, this is the failure of the most basic level of diligence,” a law-enforcement source said.

“How can you expect the public to feel confident of the mission of the TSA if they don’t even know if the lights are turned on?”

The chaos at Terminal 7 was caused by screener Alija Abdul Majed, who had manned Lane No. 1 during the morning shift with no idea his metal detector had no juice, sources said.

Amazingly, he failed to realize that alert lights never flashed once as streams of passengers filed through the dead detector, the sources said.

Majed was so clueless that he couldn’t even tell police how long the machine had been shut off or how it happened, the sources said.

It was simply an unplugged machine — the TSA doing its best,” another source said.

Higher-ups at the Transportation Security Administration finally discovered the security boondoggle at 9:44 a.m. — leaving the Port Authority with no choice but to call for a complete evacuation of the international terminal that is home to British Airways, Cathay Pacific, United Airlines and others

U.S. Added 80,000 Jobs in June; Unemployment Rate at 8.2%

The nation’s employers added 80,000 jobs in June, not enough to significantly reduce the backlog of nearly 13 million unemployed workers.

The lackluster increase followed a May gain revised to 77,000, the Labor Department reported Friday. The unemployment rate remained 8.2 percent.

80K is but a small fraction of the number of people entering the work force. That the Unemployment Rate remained unchanged at 8.2% is something I find suspect; we’re having rainbows blown up our collective butts.

Those signs aren’t cheap and they’re no more than a taxpayer-funded PR campaign for Obama. The projects around here mainly consisted of bike lanes on thoroughfares where people rarely-if ever-ride bikes.

Don’t forget unions, especially state employee unions and the DNC whom the unions kicked back some of the funds to. Rush Limbaugh has referred to the stimulus as a vast money laundering scheme. I have seen stats of the money spent versus actual jobs created, and it would have been vastly cheaper to just send those people who actually obtained a job, even though temporary a check.

Perhaps that number mostly includes the small army of lawyers the sub-contractors and the EPA would hire for the inevitable regulatory litigation? Or maybe it was an estimate drawn up by an ex-eqyptologist who brought his vast experience regarding how the pyramids were built to modern workforce projections?

OT, but a funny, true story:

Before Dawn this morning, I was out on my lawn setting the sprinkler as is my wont during this string of 102+ days we’re having. A woman walked by the house and I smiled and nodded in a neighborly fashion. She proceeded to upbraid me for my water usage and literally blamed “selfish people like me” for failing crops around here and wildfires out west.

I explained that, in this part of the country (Louisville KY), water is a very plentiful resource and the failing crops are due to a lack of rain -- farmers generally don’t have manual irrigation systems and it may well be cost prohibitive even if they did. As to the West’s dearth of water, I said “you know, of course, we don’t pipe water across the country and our local water situation has no impact whatsoever on the West”

Her reply was “you’re clearly one of those people who make up your own facts to cover up you’re irresponsibility” and, on that, she walked away.

No, I didn’t hose her down though it was tempting as hell.

I have 82K on mine, and it has been a pretty good car, so far.

True. It’s just frustrating. How are you going to get mad at a cat for catching mice? It’s what they do!

I wish I would have hosed his ass down too.

Pretty safe bet that your neighbor is a hardcore obamunist and, if he had his way, he’d march you and your cat straight to the re-education camps.

If Kafir were any kind of a good neighbor she would have offered to throw all of her snakes and mice into the neighbor’s yard… with bells.

Obama on TV saying 80,000 jobs are a positive step. He bragged about 4 Million jobs in 28 months. He claims we are on the verge of a era of prosperity.

Obama doesn’t mind lying. The question is is the electorate buying his lies? I think the election may turn on the answer to that question.

Gawd, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing! These morons don’t seem to have gotten the memo that large eco-systems have been substantially successfully manipulated ever since we graduated from hunter-gatherers. Actually, that’s one of man’s greatest accomplishments.

it’s bad enough that people are ignorant, but when they make it a point to walk up and personally demonstrate the depth of their ignorance, that’s something really special.
