More liberal stupidity- You’ll need a valid photo ID to see Eric Holder denounce asking voters to show a valid photo ID to vote

You just can’t make up this stuff…Actually, I could, but I don’t need to, since the libs’ ignorance needs no help from any of us to make them look, well, stupid.

Hey, they can’t let just anybody in: Proper ID needed to see Eric Holder speech denouncing voter ID laws

In a delicious irony, media expecting to see Attorney General Eric Holder’s speech before the NAACP in Houston, Texas, today attacking voter ID laws were obliged to show proper credentials to get in the room. That included, yes, government-issued photo identification.

Here was the alert sent to reporters, prior to Holder’s appearance:

All media must present government-issued photo I.D. (such as a driver’s license) as well as valid media credentials. Members of the media must RSVP to receive press credentials at http://action.naacp.org/page/s/registration. For security purposes, media check-in and equipment set up must be completed by 9:45 a.m. CDT for a 10:00 a.m. CDT security sweep.

Versions of this alert were sent out by both the NAACP and the Justice Department. The language on the ID section was identical.

It is ironic of course because both groups have been at the forefront of attacking voter ID laws, calling them racist efforts at voter suppression. In fact, the Justice Department has sued Texas, the very state Holder was speaking in regarding the issue.

In his speech, Holder said:

In our efforts to protect voting rights and to prevent voting fraud, we will be vigilant and strong. But let me be clear: we will not allow political pretexts to disenfranchise American citizens of their most precious right.

If wanted to hear him say that in person, and didn’t have a proper government photo ID, you were outta luck.

Granted, in this particular case these ID requirements were not about voting and there are legitimate security issues at work whenever a top federal official appears at an event.

Still, you’d think if the Justice Department could say there are genuine circumstances when photo IDs are necessary for security, they might realize that could extend to other areas as well.

    THEY CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
But if Romney was going to speak at any event concerning the NAALCP..Texas is the place to do it. Texas is RED all the way and they have no love for obama expect for this tiny fraction.
Romney did what he said he would TELL THE TRUTH. If some people can’t handle it well they were never going to vote for Romney anyway..he may have swayed a few voters there…because honestly haven’t they noticed obama hasn’t done anything for the African American Community. Their unemployment rates are very high!

I heard a clip of his speech.

I noticed he did not attempt to effect a black accent and vocal mannerisms like say shrillery did when she was campaigning during the previous primary or even that great orator obama himself.

For some reason doing so seemed to play well for the demoncritters. Personally I see it as insulting and patronizing. One must have an abysmal self-image to like being played to so.

As far as voter I.D…..what is the big deal..even the papers are leaning on this propaganda..even here in Louisiana were we have to show I.D. they wrote a puff piece that made it sound like it would be much worse..when in reality nothing would change.
I have to show I.D. to rent a hotel room.
I have to show I.D. to a policeman if he pulls me over.
I have to show I.D. to get my meds filled.
I have to show I.D. if I use my credit card.

This is bump being blown out to be a mountain.
There is no common sense out there in this election.

I think many are willfully blind, and are happy with their ration of grabbermint cheese. Especially if some of their cheese comes from a group they don’t like.

Black unemployment is old news even that toad maxine waters knows.

Maxine Waters says Barack Obama is neglecting black communities

Speaking at a job fair in Atlanta on Thursday, Waters says the president needs to bring his bus tour to the black communities as well as the rural communities, and that he needs to step in and take action to reverse the economic slide.

“We want him to use that bully pulpit to get those banks in there who have profits that they are holding onto, and lend that money in our communities, to our small businesses that create jobs,” said Waters.

The jobless rate for African-Americans is almost 16 percent, compared to the national average of nine-point-one percent.

However in some communities such as Watts, which Waters represents, she estimates the unemployment rate is as high as 40 percent.

    What a tool!

Records Show Top Obama Adviser Valerie Jarrett Has Line of Credit With Bank In Bermuda

    OMG . . . OMG . . . OMG . . . Mitt Romney has a Swiss bank account!

(ABC News) — A lot of attention has been focused lately on Mitt Romney’s offshore finances in places like the Cayman Islands and Bermuda.

But the word Bermuda pops up on the financial disclosure forms of one of President Obama’s top advisers too.

Valerie Jarrett’s financial disclosure form filed May 4 lists a line of credit from a Bermuda insurance company valued between $100,000 and $250,000.

“This is a letter of credit disclosed in the liability section of the personal financial disclosure form, meaning it is a potential obligation, not an asset,” White House spokesman Eric Schultz said in a statement. “In fact, a letter of credit is something that you pay for – as you can see from the form there is a fee associated with it. A letter of credit is issued by a financial institution as a guarantee to cover a potential liability, and in this case was obtained by real estate developers in Chicago for properties located in the United States.”

When Obama was elected I hoped that The First Black President may address the profound dysfunction within the “black community”. Alas, he exploited it as had so many before him and thus, compounded it. The albatross of racism that has been placed, unjustly, about the collective necks of Republicans is wholly undeserved and these kowtowing sessions before an outdated, largely racist organization like the NAACP (“Colored people”? Really?) is testament to that dysfunction.

House votes to repeal ‘Obamacare’ -- again

The Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives voted Wednesday to repeal President Obama’s health care law, a symbolic gesture meant to highlight the GOP’s continued commitment to ending the law, despite a ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court that it is constitutional.

The tendency to treat black people as though they have “special needs” in our society should enrage blacks as well as whites. The “national conversation on race” should include Nike riots and fast food melees as well as the perceived “racism” of asking for identification.

Let’s have some truth in this friggin’ “conversation” unless, as Lilly stated “we can’t handle the truth”.

Obama has appeared with the Black Panthers; the very people to whom Eric Holder gave a pass. He went to the Million Man March of Louis Farrakhah; he spent 20 years attending the church of a man who is Farrakhan’s political and ideological buddy; he spoke in favor of Derrick Bell, a man whose entire “academic” oeuvre consists of taking the revanchist racism of Farrakhan and the Panthers and distilling it into language that is parlor-acceptable for self-deluding white liberals. Obama is supported by other racists of this stripe, such as Cornel West and Tavis Smiley, as well as by outright racist demagogues like Al Sharpton.

Some of these people have expressed “disappointment” in Obama of late. Is anyone stupid enough to be fooled by this? This is merely a matter of Obama’s ideological friends and allies making a feint to reassure the increasingly-uneasy liberals that Obama “really is a moderate”; it is to cloak his radicalism, as Obama cloaked his radicalism in 2008 by talking of a “post-racial society.”

I have noted before that “post-racial” was a code phrase; in the world that Obama and his revanchist allies inhabit, whites are inherently, irredeemably, un-reeducatably racist, and blacks are never racist no matter what. Obama’s promise of “post-racialism” read to the larger society as a promise of reconciliation and an end to race polarization; to his base, which understood him perfectly, it was a promise of race-based dominance and revenge, where the never-racist black community, finally on top, would be in control and would “get theirs.”

Obama is living out a Frantz Fanon wet-dream; no slow-motion corruption of society from within, as is happening in Britain, but a top-down imposition, under color of law while totally disregarding the law, of an orgy of racist revenge.

Read your Bible. The Israelites lived on divine welfare for forty years in the desert, and kept complaining; “We’re bored with manna; we want meat!” “We’re afraid to take possession of the Land!” etc., etc. They didn’t want to go off divine welfare, go into the Land, and have to work for a living—but that didn’t stop them from bitching and moaning the entire time they were on welfare.

The black community won its civil rights battle with the passage of the Voting Rights Act—but they didn’t want to go up into the Land as King had envisioned; they wanted the welfare of affirmative action and set-asides. They’ve been wandering in a desert of their own making for over forty years, in which the manna is not good enough but they are not willing to forsake it.

King had been all but sidelined by the time he was tragically murdered, by Stokeley Carmichael, Jeremiah Wright, Ron Karenga, and many others. He was reduced to running after them and pretending he was still leading the parade. In effect, the Moses of the black Civil Rights Movement had been displaced by the Korachs, Dathans and Abirams touting affirmative action—and the black community is still in thrall to them and their ideological descendants today.

    Oh, I doubt that.

He did, however, build his career on “waving the bloody shirt,” as they used to say following the Civil War, by claiming (as I understand, falsely) that he had cradled the dying King in his arms.

    Heh.

    http://washingtonexaminer.com/black-pastors-to-protest-naacp-support-for-gay-marriage/article/2501875?custom_click=rss

A coalition of 1,300 black pastors will go to Houston for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) convention this week — to host a protest against the NAACP’s decision to follow President Obama in backing gay marriage.

“ The Black church founded the NAACP, and it is not the organization for the advancement of gays and lesbians–whatever the merits of that movement,” said Rev. William Owens, president of the Coalition of African-American Pastors. “Return to your roots and stand with the Black Church on marriage.”

“Civil marriage is a civil right and a matter of civil law,” Ben Jealous, the NAACP president, said in a statement in May. Jealous’ declaration followed Obama’s acknowledgement that he supported gay marriage — though the president stopped short of calling it a civil rights issue and instead said he would leave the issue to the states.

“To the board of NAACP we say, ‘Do not worry about the money, God will provide,’” Owens countered today. “Stand with the Church and the Bible and the natural law, as our brother with whom we marched, Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., called on us to do.”

Obama seems to underestimate the Clintons’ prestige in the Democrat Party. There always was a lot of animosity between Obama and Clinton and that seems to be more pronounced with time. The Clintons wield a lot of influence. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that “it’s Clinton’s party and he’s just letting Obama live in it”, but that’s pretty close. An open Obama-Clinton war would hurt Obama far worse (even among blacks) than it would Clinton.

It’s pretty clear that most blacks thought that Obama’s presidency would be about being black. However, BO’s presidency is primarily about socialism and he only trots out the black thing when it suites his agenda. As a result, there’s a lot of disappointment from a lot of blacks.
