Saw this today on the subway.
Could it be that the Manhattan Mini Storage ads have taken up an issue that I actually agree with?
Meanwhile on the same subway car, the sodaphobic Nanny State Mayor Bloomie takes aim square at New Yorker’s freedoms.

War on Soda!
Soda is really bad for you but I think the reason most people are pissed about this is because we know when enough is enough. There is no reason for government to regulate what we put in our bodies.
Bloomberg is green unfriendly. He wants more containers per ounce
@ NoThreat2U:
I prefer Ice Tea or Fruit Punch. That said Bloomberg is a Muzzie loving Fascist.
@ waldensianspirit:
He’s a scumbag.
@ NoThreat2U:
My soda’s haven’t hurt me. Thankfully…like people drink coffee in the morning I drink my de-caff Dr. Pepper…have all my life..guess what I’m 125 lbs and am not diabetic. I think sodas effect teeth more..but even on that for me..nope. So they can pry my soda from my cold dead hand. Period.
@ Rodan:
I love un-sugared ice tea second favorite. I like sugared soda’s but perfer un-sugared ice tea…go figure…it is comfirmed I’m odd.
{{NT2U}} we are going to have to get this thread popping…
Another slow summer day!!!!
Ethanol BOOM™!
I kinda think this goes with this thread….in a odd way…which is confirmed I’m odd.
Bloomberg turned NYC into a Dhimmi city.
Lily wrote:

No kidding…when is it the governments place to dictate what we eat or drink???? I’m sorry but that’s none of their business..how about tackling real issues. I agree with you here Rodan.
/oh and a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY {{Rodan}}!!!
Just for you…
@ Lily:
Hey the Suicide bomber had a phony Louisiana ID.
@ Rodan:
So do I …also mint leaves is good in it too!
Bloomberg could just outlaw high fructose corn syrup and replace it with old fashioned sugar.
Rodan wrote:
Good grief. Really…I thought is was Michigan….apparently he didn’t realize 1/2 of Louisiana is Catholic and the other half Baptist. Weird.
@ Lily:
Thank you!!!!!!!
@ Rodan:
Me too. IF I drink any pop it is Sierra Mist Natural without the HFCS. I love kosher Coke too!
I can’t stand Sheppard Smith.
@ Rodan:
@ Lily:
I asked my brother once how I could lose some weight. He told me to cut out HFCS. The commercials about it are misleading. It may taste the same and “our bodies can’t tell the difference” but the truth is, our bodies can’t process it the way we do cane sugar. I prefer the cane sugar. I actully started feeling better when I cut out the HFCS.
Obesity a bigger problem than smoking, poll finds
Nearly four in 10 Americans say obesity is an ‘extremely serious’ problem to society.
Note the website, “Mother Nature Network”, the picture accompanying the piece, and the focus on it being a “problem for society”. The piece is remarkably cold and sterile, more concerned with the problems that smoking and obesity cause society than the health of individuals.
The debate about health care has let us with the “Borg-like” idea that an individual’s health, and how he/she maintain’s their heath is the direct concern of “society”.
It’s really the stuff of dystopian sci-fi and it’s creepy in the extreme.
@ NoThreat2U:
I love my Dr. Peppers!! I’ll take Pepsi if DP’s aren’t around.
@ Lily:
Just wait. With ObamaCare they will mandate that you be a member of a gym and that you work out regularly. Otherwise, no healthcare for you! It is coming, no doubt.
@ MacDuff:
I am no where obese…it takes all I got to keep some weight on. So as far as them saying I can’t have my sodas they can shove one of my soda cans straight were the sun doesn’t shine and I mean that too.
@ NoThreat2U:
Mexican Coke is the best (Ask Coldwarrior), its made with real sugar. But I am a Fruit Punch guy. Arizona Fruit Punch is my favorite. Its really addictive so I try not to buy it!
On another note, the Hizballah and Iran have a network in the Balkans. That’s how they pulled off the suicide bombing.
@ MacDuff:
These people support Eugenics. They want the Perfect man/new man/master race.

@ NoThreat2U:
Cane sugar is way better for you…but my sodas don’t effect me. Keeping on weight is a major problem. So far hanging in at a nice weight.
/oh did I mention I’m rather odd…in so many ways.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obama said raising taxes on people making more than $250,000 will lead to millions of jobs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@ NoThreat2U:
{{NT2U}} Now, now lets not *sugar-coat* it!!
@ Rodan:
He is an idiot and hates the United States. People need a clue-bat upside their head if they think he isn’t.
@ NoThreat2U:
You might try some iteration of a reduced carb plan. Not some insanity like Atkins, but one that’s balanced, yet keys a lot on reducing carbs. I’ve had some success with this, slow, but consistent success.
@ Lily:
I am stunned. He said raising taxes will lead to millions of jobs.
OMG, he is so economically ignorant.
@ MacDuff:
See my 38.
I am just stunned at what Obama said.
@ MacDuff:
It’s in my genes and my body…keeping up my weight is a hard thing to do for me. So far doc has got me there. At 92 lbs ..I had to wear doubling clothing…plus I had no cushion …now I’m at the right weight.
Btw, liberal leaning independents respond to saying I’m working to get Obama out there and then plan to work over the next several years getting Romney out of there. They know your not a partisan hack but have real gripes with central government

@ MacDuff:
Well the weight is no longer a problem since I got sick. The doc today recommended upping my carbs as part of a healthier diet for someone in my condidion. He also told me to take two egg whites a day, uncooked. lol
The ultra liberal Manhattan Mini-Storage which always has ads bashing Republicans and Republican politicians had an ad a few months ago that said “We New Yorkers are not judgmental, except regarding your shoes” To which I wanted to add “and unless you’re a Republican”.
