Love him or not, the man won two Presidential elections. He seldom equivocated on his positions, did what he believed to be the right thing, and rose to a disastrous occasion that no one saw coming twice during his term in office. Unlike two other living former Presidents, he has remained quiet in regards to how one of his successors has performed his duties as President. This is despite the fact that his only successor has spent the entirety of his term blaming everything in the known universe on the 43rd President.
He was no where near perfect for the conservative movement, as he gave us a new entitlement, handcuffed the war on terror by failing to recognize its root cause, (radical Islam,) and signed onto the uniquely destructive TARP program during his last days in office. Many believe that his bizarre refusal to answer the daily attacks against him was one of the root causes that led to the election of Barack Obama.
Still, with all of that, he remains an unapologetic champion for free market economics, American exceptionalism, and America’s role as the shining example of what is possible when a society allows its citizens the freedom to choose their own destinies. He was the strong leader people continually claim that we need. Of course, when being compared to the Presidency of Bozo the Clown, almost anyone would look good in comparison.

@ MacDuff:
I am sure he can’t keep his feelings about Обама to himself. That is why Laura is there.
President Bush hates blogs
He doesn’t get it!
