Is Charles making an admission? OOT

Charles has given many multiple excuses for his shift to the Left. Yet many suspect he was never on the Right. he Tweets that Chick-Fil-A cashed in on “anti-gay bigotry.” He also attacks Michele Bachmann for “anti-gay bigotry.” This is a total lie of course. People went to Chick-Fil-A to support Free Speech and Bachmann is concerned about the Muslim Brotherhood’s infiltration of the US government.

So is Charles admitting that he wan anti-Jihad and on the Right for money? Did he shift to the Left in 08/09 because he thought there would be more money? If that’s the case, a business model hating on Christians and obsession with Nazis isn’t working out for Charles Johnson.

Apologies if this has already been posted, but it’s too good to miss: Some dipshit in Tucson (has to be a dhimmicRat) posted a Youtube video of himself harassing a Chik Fil-A employee at the drive-thru window.

Well his employer fired his sorry ass. Woo-hoo!

Get outta here. What a dipshit.

A CFO for an Arizona medical manufacturing company idiling his Beemer thru a fast food line for some free water so he can spout nonesense to a girl who works for a bit more than minimum wage and can’t say anything back.

I don’t see where Chik-fil-A is “cashing in” on anything. They didn’t start this thing, the MSM did. And they aren’t encouraging people to patronize their restaurants in response, others are doing that on their own.

The funny thing about the Smith-video is that when he is saying

“I’m a nice guy, by the way… totally heterosexual. Not a gay in me, I just can’t stand the hate.”

    he IS discriminating gays.

It can, but it’s illegal to do so in most jurisdictions…

There’s no better example of the maniacal authoritarianism of the Left than the manufactured Chick-fil-A “controversy”. Their single-minded insistence upon ideological conformity and their reaction to non-compliance should disturb freedom-loving people of all stripes.

Alas, there would be no shortage of potential staff for re-education camps.

The whole attempt to intimidate and punish Chick Fil-A was an Epic Fail for the Left. Some liberal woman on Fox screeched “Only conservatives would stay on line for so long in order to consume 5,000 calories”, to which I yelled back “Only liberals would spend $5.00 for a burnt and bitter cup of coffee at Starbucks”.

Media Launches Scathing Attacks, Threats Against Chick-fil-A

Dan Gainor, with the Media Research Center, said he was especially disturbed that CBS ignored the story altogether.

“What’s truly amazing is when you have hundreds of thousands of people turn out for something and one of the big three broadcast networks doesn’t even acknowledge it on air,” Gainor told Fox News. “That’s worse than almost any of the awful things the leftwing groups have thrown at Chick-fil-A.”

Gainor said ABC and NBC covered the story but emphasized the small protest groups – instead of the pro-Chick-fil-A supporters.

“The left thought they could bully an American company and they discovered that the vast majority of Americans were willing to take extra time out of their day, embrace a long line and celebrate a company that shares their values – and supports free speech as well,” he said.”It got out there in spite of the mainstream media not being willing to talk about it much.”

But the media outlets that did cover the protest – took a very different approach to the story:

Washington Post columnist Sally Quinn urged homosexuals to “infiltrate” the privately owned company.

“Make the restaurants gay hangouts of the community,” she wrote. “Gays and lesbians could start applying for jobs at Chick-fil-A. Get in there. Become managers, take over the places.”

MSNBC contributor Jonathan Capehart urged protesters to bully the restaurant chain.

“Find out who is affiliated with Chick-fil-A in any way and put pressure on those folks,” he said.

Fort Myers News-Press reporter Mark Krzos wrote his observations about Chick-fil-A on his Facebook page, according to the media-news site JimRomenesko.com

    “Such a brave stand…eating a g**damn sandwich,” he wrote.

“I have never felt so alien in my own country as I did today while covering the restaurant’s supporters,” he wrote. “The level of hatred, unfounded fear and misinformed people was astoundingly sad.”

The newspaper did not return calls for comment and Krzos’ Facebook page has been taken offline.

Gainor told Fox News it’s no surprise that members of the national media are siding with opponents of Chick-fil-A.

“They are 99 percent pro-gay agenda,” he said. “These are the people that populate the media universe.”

    Only in Obama’s America:

Letter To Parents: White Students Not Allowed To Transfer Out Of Failing School

Rayville Elementary School in Louisiana received a failing grade this year, based on the state’s School Performance Scores. Under the state’s Public School Choice policy, eligible students in schools flagged as failing and in need of certain levels of improvement can transfer to an “academically acceptable school.”

But an interesting and controversial issue has arisen that may actually challenge equal opportunity intended by the law. In a letter to parents dated July 25, Rayville Elementary school officials inform families of the school’s “F” grade and list two other institutions — with letter grades C- and B — that the parents can choose to transfer their children to. But there’s a disclaimer:

Please note that white students at Rayville Elementary School will not be allowed to transfer to the listed schools due to the present provisions issued in the federal Richland Parish School desegregation case.

The case in question refers to a 1968 court decision that, in an effort to maintain desegregated schools, prohibits white students from leaving schools if their departure could cause the school to be considered “all-Negro.”

“This, in effect, has backfired,” one forum-goer writes on ADISC.org. “White students at this failing school are now being discriminated against; their race means that they are not allowed to leave this failing school.”

I’m not all that sure it was “unintended.”

The point of most of these school “desegregation” schemes, “busing,” etc was to achieve racial balance at the expense of white students’ educations.

It’s always easier to achieve equality by dragging those at the top down than by raising those at the bottom up.

is it possible to be a ‘racists’ (in the new usage definition) and work at the nyt?

  30. lobo91
    30 | August 3, 2012 6:53 am

    @ coldwarrior:

Yes, because the current definition of racism has nothing to do with one’s actual views on race. It’s solely based on the effect of their actions on Obama and his re-election chances.

Thus, anyone telling the truth is a racist if the truth hurts Obama.

Closing clean nuclear power plants to build brown coal power plants doesn’t make any sense:

Twenty-three new coal-fired power plants are being built across Germany, with the capacity to generate 24,000 megawatts. The German Environment Minister, Peter Altmaier of the conservative Christian Democrat Party, supports the construction of further coal-burning power plants. In order not to jeopardize the German economy, one would have to “be in a position to be able to offer energy at prices that can compare with that of the main power competitors in other industrialized countries.”

My wife’s having a knee replacement next week and was advised she’d need a walker for a period of time during the healing process. I started to look around and found that they started at $70+. I have made some donations of old stuff to a local group called Wayside Christian Mission, who specialize in saving “the worst of the worst”, so to speak. To say they do the Lord’s work would be an understatement. Anyway, they have a thrift store across town and I thought I may be able to find one at a good price. I went by there yesterday and, indeed, they had several. I picked the best of the lot, took it up to the counter and asked “what do I owe you?”. The woman replied “$3.50″. I was somewhat taken aback, produced a $10 bill and said “here, you folks do good work here and it’s worth at least $10 to me, it’s only temporary since my wife’s having knee surgery.” The woman was quite gracious, and produced an adjustable, medical quality cane and said “you’ll probably be needing one of these as your wife recovers, please accept it with our thanks”. I insisted upon giving her another $5, but she would hear none of it, responding “The good you do comes back to you in unexpected ways, today, He’s especially prompt, isn’t he?” As I walked to the car, I was so moved by the encounter that I, inexplicably, wept.

Small blessings are oft the most treasured. An insignificant act of kindness on my part rendered a feeling that can only be described as “grace”.
