They don’t seem to be on ours. To be charitable, they seem to be a governmental agency of foreign (aaahhhchoo saudi) advocacy.

The State department has been out of control for decades. It’s a self-selecting fraternity of left-wing Ivy League graduates who don’t consider themselves subordinate to the political appointees above them, including the Secretary of State.

One thing they mentioned on-air that wasn’t in that piece is that the security contractor recognized the problem and wanted to bring in a more capable (and presumably armed) firm to augment security at the site.

The only thing in th eBush Administration that came close was Katrina, and that was only after a week of hyperventaliating by the MFM if full Demonize George Bush mode. This would break any Republican. The only question is can five weeks of non-stop covering by the MFM save Obama, or is it too late for even that to pull it out for him. An Ambassador was assassinated. That is a big fucking deal, to quote the VP. It hasn’t happened since Carter was President. And this one is all Obama’s. He can’t really hide behind anyone. Sure, he could maybe throw Hillary Clinton to the wolves, but he’ll lose anyway if he does that. As pointed out above, Billy Jeff will take his toys and go home if that happens.

I think Libya may well be the “final straw”, the tipping point as it were. Benghazi was such a monumental screw-up that it’s indefensible at any level — they’re not even offering a defense and nor are they’re surrogates.

The plan is to use the “ongoing investigation” line to silence questions until after the election.
