Wave Goodbye to the Obama Media

Tucker Carlson and Neil Patel of The Daily Caller have an excellent article today entitled “Wave Goodbye to the Obama Media”. Carlson and Patel opine that by the next election cycle what we now know as the “mainstream” media will be largely gone, replaced by the new internet media. MSM have selected themselves for extinction by their own dishonesty and slavish devotion to the false prophet of a false ideology. The thugacracy currently occupying the White House is exactly the sort of regime that a free and independent press was supposed to guard against and protect us from. In modern history we have seen instances in which the press has been subverted and co-opted by totalitarian regimes, but in those cases the press was beaten into submission under threat of the noose or gulag. That obviously is not what happened to the American press. They willfully and lovingly became Obama’s concubines without any coercion whatsoever. The fact that we now have a President Obama is Exhibit “A” to MSM’s duplicity in electing a man with no experience, no accomplishments and seemingly no past. In doing so they have truly betrayed the trust of the American public.  As Pat Caddell said, “Media have become the enemy of the American People”.

httpv://youtu.be/aGx8J7e8PzA

By tomorrow night we’ll likely know the name of the next president. But we already know the loser in this election cycle: political reporters. They’ve disgraced themselves. Conservatives have long complained about liberal bias in the media, and with some justification. But it has finally reached the tipping point. Not in our lifetimes have so many in the press dropped the pretense of objectivity in order to help a political candidate. The media are rooting for Barack Obama. They’re not hiding it.

Consider Benghazi. An American consulate is destroyed and a US ambassador murdered at a time when the president is boasting at every campaign stop that he has crushed al-Qaida. In an effort not to disrupt this narrative, the White House and the Obama campaign spend weeks claiming the incident was merely a protest over a video, rather than a real terror attack. Then intelligence surfaces showing just the opposite: The killers in Benghazi were no street mob, and Obama knew as much from the beginning.

Imagine if George W. Bush, or even Bill Clinton, had tried something like this during a re-election campaign. The howls from journalists would have been deafening, and unceasing. Instead, Obama has enjoyed every benefit of every doubt from the press every step of the way. Candy Crowley even broke character in the middle of a presidential debate to defend him. From their retirement, former presidents must be looking on in envious bewilderment.

[…]

Last month we found previously unseen video of then-Senator Barack Obama accusing the U.S. government of racism in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Even before our story appeared, liberal reporters tried to minimize and discredit it. Sam Feist, the Washington bureau chief at CNN, even boasted that his network had had possession of the tape for years, apparently unaware that some might wonder why they had never aired it.

We could go on. The point is that many in the press are every bit as corrupt as conservatives have accused them of being. The good news is, it’s almost over. The broadcast networks, the big daily newspapers, the newsweeklies — they’re done. It’s only a matter of time, and everyone who works there knows it. That may be why so many of them seem tapped out, lazy and enervated, unwilling to stray from the same tired story lines. Some days they seem engaged only on Twitter, where they spend hours preening for one another and sneering at outsiders.

By the next presidential cycle most of these people will be gone. They’ll have moved on to academia or think tanks or Democratic senate campaigns, or wherever aging hacks go when their union contracts finally, inevitably get voided. They’ll be replaced by a vibrant digital marketplace filled with hungry young reporters who care more about breaking stories than maintaining access to some politician or regulator.

All of this was probably inevitable, but it came faster than expected. Through their dishonesty the legacy media hastened their own end. Their moral authority has evaporated. So has their business model. Wave them goodbye on the way out.

Hat tip to Urban Infidel for the bumper snicker.

Yep. If they said it or printed it you can bet that it is something less than the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. They have made themselves irrelevant. For instance; I read somewhere that Pitt beat ND in OT 3.

Incoming J School freshman consistently say that their reason
for going into journalism is “To make a difference” or “To make
    a better world”
And that is the problem, they are supposed to report ‘Who, What , Where & When”
Instead they get into the story & frame it the way that they want it perceived.

Wife hates watching the alphabet network news with me. Other than the police blotter reports and the weather, I usually need to provide a running counter commentary pointing out how the stories they are covering are biased in their presentation usually because of what they don’t cover about the story.

She is especially tired of me asking the TV where the hell is the Benghazi coverage? I am reading new devastating revelations almost every day, and nothing. One day about a week after the attack the local Fox affiliate devoted somewhere between 2 and 3 minutes of airtime to some guy that had an impressive ET the Extra Terrestrial memorabilia collection, but not one word about Benghazi.

You would never know about Fast and Furious or the green crony-capitalism of solyndra if the MFM were your only source for news.

i simply asked her how she plans to pay back the 200k she owes because of obama’s debt. i said when she can answer that question i will be more than happy to hear what she has to say…i told her that 200k buys a really nice house for her and her future family. maybe pays for a college education…but instead she owes it to the bond market. every time she earns a dollar, hand a bunch over to pay for her man 0bama.

As far as the media goes PEOPLE ARE VERY UNHAPPY!!! Very unhappy…my local newspaper has been called it at least 3 times for printing the biased AP stories on the front page! And today the paper basically threw the towel in for Romney by the editor because we need a strong Navy and obama is clue-less to this fact. People are out-done with the media..and the letters to the editor repeatedly want to know why Benghazi isn’t being reported on!!!!! If obama loses tomorrow and I pray he does his fall will take more than just him with him.

    >Mitt Romney is ahead by a single percentage point in Ohio, according to internal polling data provided to MailOnline by a Republican party source.

Internal campaign polling completed last night by campaign pollster Neil Newhouse has Romney three points up in New Hampshire, two points up in Iowa and dead level in Wisconsin and – most startlingly – Pennsylvania.

not startling to me at all, been saying this for 3 months now

It isn’t that…I should know my family can never vote for an R…they are straight line D voters no matter what…not to mention they aren’t happy with the president and b*tch about Romney (basically the MSM talking points down to the letter) they can never, ever bring themselves to vote D no matter what is on the line..so I suspect they probably will just not vote period.

How much is that costing us?
/plus I noticed that Springsteen isn’t bringing in the people …

    Madison Fail: Obama/Springsteen 18K; Kerry/Springsteen 75K

One of the more memorable “gulp” moments for Republicans in ’04 was the Friday before Election Day when John Kerry and Bruce Springsteen brought together a massive crowd of 70,000 to 80,000 in the liberal stronghold of Madison, Wisconsin.

Today, in a last minute push to get the vote out, the combined power of Barack and the Boss drew only 18,000.

Democrats are already worried about the early vote counts in Wisconsin. The fact that Obama is now depressing turnout for free Bruce Springsteen concerts should worry them even more. On his own, Springsteen can attract 84,000 paying customers just a few hours away in Chicago

Nice to know he meant what he said…but revenge against who????
/this man is a national disaster.

Obama Campaign Spokeswoman: He Has “No Regrets” About “Revenge” Comment…

President Obama has “absolutely no regrets” about saying that “voting is the best revenge” when he asked Ohioans to get to the polls over the weekend, his spokeswoman said.

“The president never regrets making the case to the American people that if they don’t like the plans Mitt Romney is offering, if they don’t like the raw deal he’s offering to the middle class, that they have the power to vote and cast their vote, their ballot at the voting booth,” Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters on Air Force One today, per the pool report. “That was exactly what he was conveying with that comment and [he has] absolutely no regrets.”

The defense of the comment is more vague than the previously-attempted explanation, when she said Obama was calling for voters to take “revenge” on Romney for “frightening workers in Ohio into thinking, falsely, that they’re not going to have a job” with his latest Jeep ad

Apparently, the problem that’s been reported of ‘Romney’ votes being counted for Obama on some machines is hitting Kansas as well. One woman had to go back 4 times before her Romney vote registered correctly.

I think I might try to keep track of how many times this happens tomorrow, and will try to remind all voters to make sure their votes show correctly before they actually cast the ballot.

  67. 68 | November 5, 2012 4:52 pm

    @ mfhorn:

States need to take a close look at the code that’s in these machines. If there are extra lines in there saying to count every 10th Romney vote for Obama, and to ‘fix’ the problem after 3 or 4 attempts, they need to track down the programmer who put this in there. Jail time, permanent loss of voting rights, and a major fine.

Back in Weimar Germany the MSM was the Hugenberg Press. Alfred Hugenberg was the R W Hearst of German publishers. It was Hugenberg that revived the NAZI party by bankrolling them when that party went bankrupt; he pulled them out of it. His reason was he thought that the NAZIs and Hitler could be manipulated. BUT, the tables were turned. THAT was the ultimate screwed up – complicity of the press in politics.

In 1933 Goebbels and Gleichschaltung took over after Hugenberg realized he made a mistake.

Pakistani parents say they killed 15-year-old daughter with acid for eyeing boy

A Pakistani couple accused of killing their 15-year-old daughter by pouring acid on her carried out the attack because she sullied the family’s honor by looking at a boy, the couple said in an interview broadcast Monday by the BBC.

The girl’s death underlines the problem of so-called “honor killings” in Pakistan where women are often killed for marrying or having relationships not approved by their families or because they are perceived to have somehow dishonored their family.

The girl’s parents, Mohammad Zafar and his wife Zaheen, recounted the Oct. 29 incident from jail. The father said the girl had turned to look at a boy who drove by on a motorcycle, and he told her it was wrong.

“She said `I didn’t do it on purpose. I won’t look again.’ By then I had already thrown the acid. It was her destiny to die this way,” the girl’s mother told the British broadcaster.

Israel’s Netanyahu pledges to keep Iran from getting nuclear bomb

Israel’s prime minister says Iran is progressing toward acquisition of a nuclear bomb in order to destroy Israel.

Benjamin Netanyahu pledged on Israeli Channel 2 TV’s investigative program “Uvda” that as long as he is prime minister, Iran will not go nuclear.

“We are serious, this is not a show,” he said in an interview that aired Monday. “If there is no other way to stop Iran, Israel is ready to act.”

Israel considers a nuclear-armed Iran an existential threat. Israel has repeatedly hinted of a military strike on Iran to stop its progress.

The TV show reported that two years ago, Netanyahu ordered his military to go on high alert for a looming attack on Iran, but he backed off following strong objections from senior security officials.

Of course, Obama says the same thing. The difference is that Netanyahu actually means it.

They are backed up against a wall…you know they have to be on pins and needles concerning our election….they know Romney will back them up…obama not so much…because you know he didn’t see it coming and it was because of a youtube video no one saw.

That economy statement was released to counter the statement I read earlier that they are expecting a boom economy if Romney is elected. That little tidbit about it happening if Romney or O are elected is just a case of “well it’s happening because The Won has done so much to make it happen.” Then they can credit O for the recovery if Romney wins. And if O wins then they’ll just say it’s Bush’s fault.

Uh yes it is..and do you not know the hidden secret that women suffer emotionally after an abortion? I take it you are male. I have seen what women go through after an abortion and they are haunted from it.

Actually we would. We are assuming that even being wrong headed about so much, that you are a decent human being and haven’t committed any kind of crime that would warrant a death penalty.

We give you the respect and right to live as a human being. It isn’t our call to take that away from you unless you violate a law that subjects you to such a penalty.

The eugenicists do not see it that way. In fact:

Yes, people always see murder differently until it is themselves who are being murdered. Like it or not, a fertilized egg is alive. It is in it’s natural habitat where evolution has evolved it to survive until it reaches a certain specific state of maturity. Evolution placed it in the safest place it could, deep inside the female body for the specific purpose of protecting it and keeping it alive.

Recently I posted on here the list of good deeds that Romney has done that have gone unreported. (As he would probably want it. If he was a self-promoter he would have tried to go to the press himself.)

The LDS religion promotes service in every day life. Romney has lived that, as do the people that Huckfunn just posted.

(Admittedly I’m not quite as good at being LDS. My penchant for cigars notwithstanding, I’m not really good at service.)

As long as people believe in absurdities, they will continue to commit atrocities. – Voltaire

Whoever controls the language, the images, controls the race. – Allen Ginsberg

And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed – if all records told the same tale – then the lie passed into history and became truth. “Who controls the past,” ran the Party slogan, “controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.” And yet the past, though of its nature alterable, never had been altered. Whatever was true now was true from everlasting to everlasting. It was quite simple. All that was needed was an unending series of victories over your own memory. “Reality control,” they called it: in Newspeak, “doublethink.” (1.3.18) – Orwell

That explains that creatures previous question.

Go research the court decision on abortion in german law. First you had the Western model, which was actually evolved from the original nazi abortion law established in 1943 where it was forbidden for all “Aryans” but was expanded to allow unrestricted abortion for all “inferiors”. This was changed not long after the war to extend protection to all Germans. Several years later it was again changed to allow abortion with restrictions. East German law was similar to West Germany until 1950 when they enacted a huge set of allowable exemptions in accordance with the laws of the Soviet State. 1976 Western German law was again changed to allow abortion in extreme circumstances up until the 12th week.

After reunification the German courts were required to create a law that would take into account both the Western law and the Eastern law. What they have now is the result. Unrestricted abortion in the first trimester. Late term allowable under negative situations, though there is usually no punishment for those who conduct late term abortions.

As abortion laws go I guess it really isn’t too extreme, and in fact does have required counseling and strict limits on state funding. But, as I have now laid out its history, you cannot deny where it came from.

  380. Mars
    382 | November 5, 2012 9:43 pm

Actually the more I read, if you have to have abortion then it isn’t really that bad of a law.

As for your comment about it not being a double homicide if an unborn child is killed in the commission of a crime, I actually can’t find any cases in german law yet. But, I have a hard time believing that is true considering this:

The Federal Constitutional Court issued a decision a year later maintaining its earlier decision that the constitution protected the fetus from the moment of conception, but stated that it is within the discretion of parliament not to punish abortion in the first trimester[citation needed], providing that the woman had submitted to state-regulated counseling designed to discourage termination and protect unborn life.

If it is life from the moment of conception than it is a double homicide. They have set their own precedent there.

Actually the first abortion law §218 StGB was relased in 1871, which sentenced an abortion with up 5 years jail.
In 1926 this law has been changed, so under special circumstanced an abortion would not be punished. Abortion for medical reasons were allowed.
During the nazi times abortion for aryan women were strictened (even death sentence) but for non aryan woman it was allowed.
After 1945 all restriction introduced by the nazi were removed.

I would not say that the current german abortion laws are much inspired by how the nazi treated abortion.
