This election is going to determine the fate of Our Nation. Are we going to emulate failed European-style socialism, or are we going to stand up, get bureaucracy out of the way and let the free-market engine of prosperity take us and the rest of the civilized world out of the doldrums that we’ve experienced for the past four years? In sailing terms, the US economy is in irons, and it shouldn’t have to be this way.
The very people who caused this geopolitical financial mess claim that people like me who oppose the economic self-destruction of this Great Country are racist homophobic women-haters, anti-science, knuckle-dragging drooling cavemen who want to destroy the environment and eat your babies in front of your God Denying Eyes. If you believe any of that crap you have no credible reason to vote.
By definition I’m a liberal. I want to change things. I want to elect officials who are fiscally conservative, morally sound, and who will protect our nation and allies from danger, both here and abroad, regardless of party affiliation. The Democrat Party offers none of that today, only lies, smears, cheap shots and half-truths. Throw the bastards out tomorrow.
The Chicks will dig you.

Chicks did guys who are not metro-sexual girlie men -- guys who vote Republican are a turn on!
Conservatives are classical liberals as were our founding fathers.
Not the Marxists & entitlement bedwetters on the left who have hijacked the name for well over 40 years running.
CA Senator Diane Feinswein has a very good chance of getting the boot.

Based on what? RCP has the old hag polling at +20…
@ Bunk X:
Really? That’s a surprise! I’d love to see that. What a nice grace note to end a Romney Landslide on…
@ Daffy Duck:
RCP is, in a word, bullshit, though. They are taking the average of polls that use different methodologies and pretending that it has any meaning. Statistically it does not. They are different sets of data. They have no intersection, no point of commonality. It is like taking the average of orange juice and puce.
@ Daffy Duck:
In previous elections she garnered less than 50%, but she was running against a field that diluted the vote. This time she’s only got one opponent -- Republican Elizabeth Emken. Orange County Register called it for Emken.
[Oopsie. Fact check busted. See below.]
@ Iron Fist:
Oh, I know RCP is bullshit, but every poll that they’re averaging for that race has what’s-her-face up ~+20. Was just wondering if all the polls could be off, and by 20%???
@ Bunk X:
Oh, yeah, that would make a difference. Now, that raises the question, does Romney get any hopes if Emken beats Diane? For instance, here in MI, polls show Romney/Obama close, but show (D) Senator incumbent (Stabenow) up like 15-points over (R) challenger. I *presume* that means there are a lot of split-ticket voters here…same for CA?
@ Daffy Duck:
The popular vote in CA will be interesting to see, but I’ll eat a horse dick sandwich if Romney wins the electoral.
Nothing better than a pin-up holding a pin-up
Vote Bunk. Or if you’re a (D), bunk vote.
Daffy Duck wrote:
Yes but that could mean a lot of Dem displeasure with specifically Obama. They may not vote all the way down ticket for the GOP just because they no longer want him in office.
Same reason why some polling shows Romney ahead in Virginia but the same polling shows Tim Kaine with a consistent lead over George Allen.Although they are now unenamored with Obama & want a change of president, voting all the way down ticket for Republicans may be a hard pill to swallow for a hardcore Democrat.
haha black and white gravatars rule. Back down you colored ones.
I wonder how many
illegalundocumented aliens are voting? Some years back when I registered to vote in this parish (Louisiana county) I was amazed that the registrar only asked to see my driver’s license as an ID. I showed her but I told her that I was born overseas (Germany) so I was prepared to show my naturalization certificate (Jun 1971). That lady was amazed, she never saw a naturalization certificate! It looks like a diploma of sorts with my photo.
My brothers had the same experience. NEVER asked for proof of birth.
No where on the drivers license does it show country of birth. I wonder how many aliens (illegal OR legal) slip by and get registered?

Yes we are but don’t get bummed out yet…in 2008 obama was an unknown (should have been a known but the media carried his water like they are doing now) he isn’t an unknown anymore and everything he has done has been against America’s interests. Although the media isn’t reporting it….people have noticed.

Yes, but only weakly. Even at that the obama regime retaliated throughout his term and the demoncrap propaganda networks assisted.

All of the posters and murals at polling places I’ve seen online today do not have the American flag. Every stinking one of them has the O symbol. This is a sickness that I hope is permanently stamped out tonight.

The mural had Obama and his tagline, “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.”
That mural should be painted out, and instead of Obama saying “we are the ones we’ve been waiting for,” there should be a picture of the ghosts of Benghazi Four saying to a rapid-response team, “You were the ones we were waiting for.”
Obama could still be in the picture, tucked into his beddy-bye with his Karl Marx teddy bear.

The murals are religious in nature. Notice the sun iconography and the won looking up (the mussolini pose) plus all the other little details. (the only thing I don’t quite get is the penguins.)

I can dis-associate her political affair with Christie because he must bend some governing a blue state. Mitt did the same and for it many of us were wary how he might do as POTUS. All pols bend to the majority for those they govern, otherwise they would be un-electable. I suspect if Chris were the Gov of a state like TX or AZ we would see his policies more in line with what we would expect from a hard core Con.
Ann has taken a shining to him, idea-wise, where it counts most, imho

It was a combination of things. She didn’t go to the doctor for a long time, and when she did, the first one misdiagnosed her. Then she went to one that got it right, but she initially didn’t want to go through the whole transplant thing. She eventually changed her mind, but it was probably too late.
My understanding is that it was a fairly uncommon condition, so it’s probably not the first doctor’s fault, although he should have sent her to a specialist sooner, probably.

Perhaps. My mom was diagnosed last month and she’s 70+. Trouble is that it masks itself as something else and that’s what usually gets diagnosed. She has primary as well.
