    It is really early.

Are projections based solely on exit polling?

  2. 2 | November 6, 2012 9:52 pm

Maybe I’m a little confused.. Fox has Romney ahead by 12% in WI but call it for Obama?

Then they say VA is to close to call with 60% reporting
    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/elections/2012-virginia-state-race

  3. 3 | November 6, 2012 9:53 pm

    @ Bumr50:
I hope so, the numbers that I see and what they are saying doesn’t add up.

Looks like Romney takes VA and is still ahead in WI

No. Their models are pretty sophisticated now.

They compare the reported returns to what their model predicted before the election, and if it matches, they call it.

It’s a matter of where the precincts that have reported (or not reported) are. There are plenty of precincts where they don’t need to see the results to know who’s going to win.

Just like they called about 10 states the moment the polls closed, with no results at all. Everyone knows Romney wins Texas, and Obama wins DC.

DLSM tamping down the late conservative turnout in other time-zones. Not only was this expected but anyone who votes Republican should have their hides tanned raw for falling for it.

I’m trying not to get too bummed this early but it seems that there are too many voters who just don’t know what the hell is going on.

When I told my own mother to be sure and vote and vote for Romney she sounded hesitant and said something like “well, I don’t think Obama has done the things he promised but I don’t know anything about Romney and he comes across as phony” Suffice to say I got on my soapbox and tried to convince her to vote for Romney. I don’t think she was going to vote Obama and figured she would prefer to just stay home.

I sent my sister an email imploring her and her husband to vote Romney and she responded that the last time she went to vote they denied her because she had moved 8 years ago (8 years!) and never bothered to update her voting status. She meant to get around to it but never did. And she and my mother live in Missouri. Thanks a lot sis!

Tester took huge amounts of money from Charlie Rangels New York buddies. He was brought in specifically to vote party line across the board. He’s done exactly as expected and will continue to.

A week before the election, we see him finally handle a crisis the way it was supposed to be handled — no mention of the dozen crises he manhandled. Oh, and a cool photo op with that fat fuck Christie. Nice going gov — kiss your national aspirations good bye.
And frankly, Akin and Murdock — thanks for fucking up any chance you had of winning Senate seats by opening your mouths and making stupid statements and taking on the Sharon Angle role in this election.

Popular belief is, America is only about 25-50 years behind Europe. If so we are at about 1950 or 1955, sounds about right.

    We should embrace it.

I find any hyphenated American designation disgusting on it’s face. If you can’t get over yourself and admit you’re AMERICAN, then at a minimum, the “American” should be on the left of the hyphen indicating primacy versus secondary allegiance. Ultimately, hyphenating is lazy, you’re AMERICAN with XXXX heritage; live it, love it.

Some of us will let you try to pry that hyphened off our dead bodies. I am both a Czech-American and a Southern-American, as my handle implies.

Sorry that it offends you that some of us have an actual heritage. Maybe you should check with Ancestry.com and see if you have one too.

There is a Commandment that says “Honor your father and mother.”

Holding on to your heritage is part of honoring your ancestral fathers and mothers.

America is many different peoples. Thank God we have those hyphens to help keep it all straight.
