Remember when Jerusalem was the 3rd holiest site in Islam?

Progressives love to claim Israel needs to divide Jerusalem because it’s Islam’s 3rd holiest city. This propaganda is spewed by the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda and their rivals in Iran and Hizb’Allah. All we hear here in the media is this claim about Jerusalem’s importance to Islam. Well someone should tell the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood aka Hamas this. They have fired rockets towards Jerusalem.

Two rockets landed outside of Jerusalem Friday evening as sirens rang out, causing no injuries or damage. Police reported that there was “no indication” that rockets landed in the city, stating that “most likely, the rockets landed in an open area outside of Jerusalem.”

Hamas took credit for the attack, claiming to have shot “an improved Kassam,” which it called an M-75, towards Jerusalem. The launch represents the first Hamas rocket attack aimed at Jerusalem.

Clearly Hamas does not view Jerusalem as holy to Islam. Yet the Marxist Media will still push this Islamic lie about Jerusalem’s importance. Actions speak louder than words and Hamas’s rocket fire towards Jerusalem shows what a canard this lie is.

You have to understand. Jerusalem is the Third Holiest Site in Islam, but explosives are Islam’s sacrement.

Israel is looking at 4 separate opponents braced against her…(which makes for a fair fight)…but the key to being outnumbered more than 2-1 is who to take out first and that would be Egypt imo…Med to the west and plenty of open airspace to the south/south west

Maybe it is time for me to run for President. I am not nice, I will say things like the 47 percent then defend it. I would gladly outlaw all collective bargaining. Individual rights and responsibilities. I would not have a muslim outreach, unless creative military personnel drew hands at the warhead tips. I would hire professionals in the field to be my cabinet officials, they could hire professional administrators to the deputy spots. Yep, time to get some suits fitted.

I’ve been saying this was coming:

Both sides insist they want a deal before January, but a rising chorus of voices, especially Democrats, say they would rather go over the cliff than accept a deal that raised too few taxes while extracting too many cuts, especially to Medicare and Medicaid.

The Democrats intend to crash the economy and then blame the Republicans. If the Republicans agreed to every tax hike that the Dems dream of, they’d just be back with more demands. They aren’t negiotiating. They are just trying to shift blame for the “failuer” of the talks.

Source: Jill Kelley and sister visited White House

The Associated Press reports that Tampa Bay socialite Jill Kelley, whose complaint about receiving harassing e-mails ultimately led to the resignation of CIA director David Petraeus, visited the White House three times this year with her sister. The report is based on accounts from an anonymous administration official.

Democrats said Petraeus made it clear the change was not done for political reasons during President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.

“The general was adamant there was no politicization of the process, no White House interference or political agenda,” said Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif. “He completely debunked that idea.”

Yep and he was the role model for all the others who also wanted to become generals. He was more in politics than in winning a war. Remember why Gen. David McKiernan was fired in Afghanistan and replaced with McChrystal ? He refused to act more like a politician and diplomat and insisted to be a general. During his time as commander in Afghanistan about 54 US-soldiers died, his successor McChrystel sky rocked the number of fallen US-soldiers to more than 330 in the same time and Petraeus didn’t better.

But McChrystal and Petraeus did have a network in Washington, McKiernan not.

I would not hesitate to spend money, provided it was not “borrowed” from a foreign source. Key to a lot of what the US could do, would be to getting our deficit back to levels that are far more manageable. If Iron Fist is right with the 21 Trillion estimate, that makes that chore significantly more difficult. I am no math genius, but somehow we have to get the debt to a level below what our economy is capable of producing in a year.

Where I get my numbers is easy. We owe $16 trillion and change right now. Obama added a little over $5 trillion in his first four yars. Simply by assuming that Obama won’t be worse in his second four years than the first (not a safe assumption, by any means, bu tit keeps the math simple), I just add another $5 trillion onto what we owe now. Presto! $21 trillion in national debt. If the economy doesn’t shrink, that is a bit less than 150% GDP. Current GDP is right at $16 trillion. Of course, Obama could spend more and the economy could shrink, making those numbers somewhat worse.

I hope you are right, because that looks to me to be the best that we can do. We are going to have taxes go up. We just need to make sure that Obama owns those tax hikes (The Obama Tax Increases), and then make sure the Democrats own the resultant recession. That really is the best that I can hope for from this bunch. But I don’t think that is what the Democrats want. The Democrats want to crash the system. If they let us go over the cliff, then Obama pumps up spending more, it’ll gut the military and be the worst possible thing for the ecnomy. High deficts and low economic growth.

Yeah, the $21 trillion comes from a very sketchy guesstimate. It is probably understating the magnitude of the problem. It also doesn’t take into account growth in entitlements, especially ObamaCare, which no one really knows how much will cost. It is a nice round figure for discussing the magnitude of the problem, though. We’ll owe far more than the government can hope to take in in revenue in any reasonable timeframe.

There will be increased police patrols of community buildings and synagogues.

I was trying to find an interview with Bat Ye’or, that someone linked at 1.0 about six to eight years ago, which dealt with the Palestinian problem. I think I found a link to it, but the full article is now gone bye bye. I’m sure it’s still our there, but I don’t have the appropriate google-fu skills nor the time to further search for it. Anyway, she gave solid advice on how to solve the problem.

Here is the gist of what she had to say as closely I can recall.

The Palestinians are a manufactured modern people to upset the new state of Israel. If the surrounding Arab countries are really concerned about their social state, they should invite their Islamic brothers to a better living and absorb them into their richer countries.

After the bulldozers get done with Evergreen State College, I want them to come here and flatten my local Subway.

They have two people working tonight, because obviously, nobody goes to Subway on a Friday evening.

One of them has been there about 10 days. He knows how to make sandwiches, but the cash register is a total mystery to him. My bill was $6.44. I gave him $6.50. I finally had to tell him that he owed me 6 cents change, because he was getting ready to give me back a $5 bill.

The other person is a woman who’s been there a day or two. She has no clue as to how to make a sandwich, and had to have all the ingredients pointed out to her by the other guy.

I look at this problem from a theological perspective. There are many references in scripture that have language that suggests this Clash of Civilizations in our time.

From my chair, what you advance is something that is the consequence for those who have no problem picking up the sword to do away with evil. I could go on writing and explain my view in 10,000 words, but that is not necessary. There are all too many that are willing to do the work that others will not do, the latter due to misguided conscience. All too many Christians are pacifists who don’t understand the need for holy war.

Now before someone suggests me as a Crusader type, let me say one thing and I will quote Paul.

For [just] rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.

Paul was speaking about just rulers, those who have the best interest of the people they rule. Yet when these factions of people take interest in evil, then just retributions are guaranteed on those who partake in evil ultimately the sword is the result to bring justice.

So in a sense I agree with you. But the recompense must be humane. As if killing another can be that; in war all bets are off when your loved ones are in danger from the same at the hands of those who don’t play by the same rule.

Part of a critique I wrote on China yesterday.

China is about to reap the whirlwind of:-
    *A collapsing and flawed demographic
*Ongoing and completely entrenched state corruption to the very highest levels that totally resists any change past cosmetic and throwing the odd scapegoat to the mobs
*Flawed infrastructure and a very challenging geography that severely limits China’s options
*A massive population that will need imported food especially as the ecology in China collapses spawning ‘bad food’ scandals but with an increasingly restricted access to foreign exchange to pay for it.
*Partial loss of its major European customer and a collapsing EU market for Chinese goods
    * Hardening attitudes in the US to Chinese currency manipulation and the resulting US tariff barriers resulting in a drop in the US market for Chinese goods
*Lost opportunity of establishing a viable internal economy (it’d be hard enough even with a Chinese liberal regime in place. With an old guard hard line ‘throwback regime’ it’s impossible)
*Internal wage pressure in Chinese industry at a time that it can’t afford it
*The lost opportunity of China moving past the cost based, copy and manufacture, export driven, authoritarian capitalist model, to one that supports innovation and free expression of ideas
*Devaluation of Chinese held US bonds, putting further pressure on Chinese financial viability
*Masses of hidden bad debt parked in Chinese State banks with no possibility that they will ever be paid back
*A subsidised and terribly inefficient state economy at a time when the money is starting to run out
*The massive endemic waste involved in cross subsidization of state businesses, not for economic reasons but for reasons of social stability and the maintenance of Party power
*The beginnings of political religious and ethnic restiveness along the Chinese periphery.
*The promise of an authoritarian crackdown in China by a new hard line leadership
*A strong possibility of growing political and economic uprisings in China, that will be put down violently over the next decade by an increasingly authoritarian State.
*The very strong possibility that China will attempt to ‘distract’ her people by manufacturing a foreign military adventure, probably in the South China Sea, as a way to pull the people in behind the Party.
*The inevitable collapse of the Chinese economy over the next 30 years due to the inherent intractable contradictions built into the current Chinese State, leading to the break up of China

Expect China to go on one last buying spree to try and secure food and resources for its people. The West and Africa/Sth America, beware of integrated top to bottom supply chains totally staffed and controlled by the Chinese government .

China needed a Gorbochov and they all got a bunch of Brezhnev clones throwbacks as their new ‘leadership
If the bottom line is a clue, Evans-Pritchard is also a student of Shakespeare. :-)
Anyone for a tragedy? Macbeth perhaps?

Let summarize this: he doesn’t know which agency removed the sentence but he knows for sure it was done “not to tipp off aQ”. For G~d’s sake they let everyone know it was them. Does he really believe that everyone is that stupid to buy this sh*t ?

Unfortunately there is people here in the United States that are that stupid and buy that sh*t!

Chinese coming here to give birth to ‘anchor’ babies seems to a subtle if little noticed policy of the Chinese gov’t.

And I don’t think very many people outside China have a good idea of how pollution of resources is — and will continue to — ravaging the country. It’s difficult to get info out of the place.

It may be difficult to get out of china when aiming for the US , but NZ has a virtual open door policy for any chinese with even modest funds. The NZ demographic has changed over the past decade with Chinese percentage growing from 1% to 10%. Now the triads and openly chinese gangster businesses are opening. One guy gets NZ registration ,say as a builder, then he ‘employs a crew of totally unqualified Chinese staff who go on to build substandard buildings by cutting corners. After 5 years of this nonsense the results are only now beginning to show up. Even the NZ born Chinese are worried about this invasion of chinese gangsters in pin striped suits.

Too many Catholic’s are cafetaria Catholic’s they pick and choose what suits them and they lie to themselves that because they don’t agree with the Church on it it is okay. They are so wrong.

Better nutrition and the addition of meat to diets world wide as it’s become more affordable. Look at Asians during WW II and look at them today. And if you ever read contemporaneous accounts of the Brits who got ‘invaded’ by the American military during WW II – that was the first thing the Brits noticed – Americans were significantly larger. And the first thing the Americans noticed about the Brits was their pallor.

A new employee here at ‘work’ is a part time film critic, and brilliant one at that. Prometheus is the first of three prequels to the Aliens franchise that will, in the subsequent films, wrap up the questions that any may have to how the story got to the point where the Nostromo was sent to investigate the distress beacon in Alien.

Lily, if a fat woman were speaking on the necessity of repairing cracked sidewalks because old people were tripping on the cracks and getting broken hips, nobody would be commenting on her weight. But when she is railing against the “obesity epidemic” her weight becomes fair game for mockery. Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

Better nutrition and the addition of meat to diets world wide as it’s become more affordable. Look at Asians during WW II and look at them today. And if you ever read contemporaneous accounts of the Brits who got ‘invaded’ by the American military during WW II — that was the first thing the Brits noticed — Americans were significantly larger.

He got the info from a workshop at a ComicCom affair where Ridley Scott was in attendance.

Yes that is part of the story, but the alien DNA is the key and why the Weyland Co. wanted to further investigate it.

If you watch Prometheus you will see this foreign DNA transcribes itself into any new life form it finds fresh. That is why you see many forms of its existence. From weird eggs to the big Roach in Aliens.

I never got, in the earlier films, which didn’t really describe the connection to the eggs, the face grabbers, or the various mutants, how they could come or appear in so many various forms. Prometheus gives big clues on how this happens.

@ 339 eaglesoars: Probably everyone is out of balance in some way. Just most of them hide it. Someone overweight doesn’t hide it. But once you know of an imbalance it is strengthening to try and balance it out. Food though is a core physical and psychological need. It seems tough to find a balance there in a world of temptation.

The old girlfriend used to point to the spare tire and ask me what was going on in my head there. Lack of sex came to mind, but not vocalized. lol. Self defeating cycles.

Having starved for 3 weeks I just eat. Anything. Altho I’ve been careful about what’s brought into the house. No junk. I’ve read about starvation during war – there’s a very good book, “The Taste of War” – I still wake up at 4:30 AM hungry and run down to the kitchen to raid the fridge or make bacon and eggs.

Oh yes, I’d heard about E. coli in raw spinach in the media not long ago. I barely cook mine, so I’m probably at risk all the time.

Yep, those were the days, life was simpler! xoxoxo

My Mum used to chop chicken, chop eggs and spread mayo on the same cutting board with the same knife and no bleach, but we didn’t seem to get food poisoning.

Our school sandwiches were wrapped in wax paper in a brown paper bag, not in ice pack coolers, but I can’t remember getting e.Coli.

Almost all of us would have rather gone swimming in the lake instead of a pristine pool (talk about boring), no beach closures then.

We all took PE … and risked permanent injury with a pair of Dunlop sandshoes instead of having cross-training athletic shoes with air cushion soles and built in light reflectors. I can’t recall any injuries but they must have happened because they tell us how much safer we are now.

We all said prayers in school and sang the national anthem, and staying in detention after school caught all sorts of negative attention.

I thought that I was supposed to accomplish something before I was allowed to be proud of myself.

I just can’t recall how bored we were without computers, Play Station, Nintendo, X-box or 270 digital TV cable stations.

Oh yeah … and where was the Benadryl and sterilisation kit when I got that bee sting? I could have been killed!

We played “King of the Hill” on piles of gravel left on vacant construction sites and when we got hurt, Mum pulled out the 48 cent bottle of mercurochrome (kids liked it better because it didn’t sting like iodine did) and then we got our arse spanked.

Now it’s a trip to the emergency room, followed by a 10 day dose of a $49 bottle of antibiotics and then Mum calls the Attorney to sue the contractor for leaving a horribly vicious pile of gravel where it was such a threat.
To top it off, not a single person I knew had ever been told that they were from a dysfunctional family.

How could we possibly have known that?

We never needed to get into group therapy and anger management classes.

We were obviously so duped by so many social ills, that we didn’t even notice that the entire country wasn’t taking Prozac!

    How did we ever survive?

LOVE TO ALL OF US WHO SHARED THIS ERA. AND TO ALL WHO DIDN’T, SORRY FOR WHAT YOU MISSED.
I WOULDN’T TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING!
