Jamie Foxx declares Obama Lord and Savior

by Rodan ( 194 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Progressives at November 27th, 2012 - 8:00 am

I have often written about how the Progressives have turned Obama into this all powerful god-king. Evan Thomas and Chris Matthews declared him a god back in 2009. There is is even an Obama as Christ exhibit at Bunker Hill Community College. At this years Soul Train Awards Jamie Foxx declares Obama his Lord and Savior.

The Progressives have deified Obama. He has been turned into some above it wise philosopher/god-king. Jamie Foxx was just expressing how many Americans view Obama.

Obama is not a Christian, but he is also not a Muslim. He recognizes no gods before himself. He would have the American people do likewise.

    And this dovetails rather nicely:

POLL: MORE AMERICANS BLAME REPUBLICANS FOR FISCAL IMPASSE

Obama and the Democrats are treating the American public as exactly what they’ve become; one dimensionally thinking children with limited attention spans – the electorate has appropriately rewarded them. We have staggering economic woes, foreign policy blunders galore and yet, we discussed crap like “the war on women” and Romney’s income through much of the campaign…now, we’re (reluctantly) beginning to discuss these issues and the bleating, quivering, over-gorged and under-informed masses, better known as the American people nod in agreement like the mindless bobble heads they have become.

Republicans tend to infer some sort of responsibility among the populace and try to impart some sort of useful information regarding our impending demise and the bobble heads are unimpressed, unmoved and, for all appearances, utterly confused.

We’ve assumed minimal maturity and a modicum of common sense in our message and, for all the intellectual impact we had, we might as well have been giving a dissertation on quantum mechanics…..at least then, they could have, maybe, related to Star Trek.

    @ MacDuff:

I’ve become convinced that the only course forward is to basically give the American ppeople what they voted for: Obama without any restrictions whatsoever. He wants to destroy the United Statews, and the majority of the people want him to accomplish that mission so long as they get free shit up until the crash. The only thing to do is prepare for the inevitable, and make Obama and the Democrats take full responsibility for the crash when it comes.

MIAMI (AP) — A Florida man choked to death after downing dozens of live roaches during a contest earlier this year in which the grand prize was a python, according to an autopsy released Monday.

Edward Archbold, 32, of West Palm Beach died as a result of “asphyxia due to choking and aspiration of gastric contents,” according to the report released by the Broward County medical examiner’s office. It said his airway was obstructed by the roach body parts, which caused him to not be able to breathe.

  10. 10 | November 27, 2012 9:02 am

    @ MacDuff:

That is the problem. I don’t kno whow to accomplish that, but it must be done. Look, if we go off the fiscal cliff, the people, in their infinite wisdom, are going to blame the Republicnas for the resulting recession. I think that is Obama’s political strategy. We can’t defeat that head on. Not with the media behind Obama like they are. We need to think Jiu Jitsu. Use their strength against them. First and foremost we need to take the gloves off, and call Obama out on what he is trying to do. You’ve seen the way I hammer the Outsider on what are we going to do when the National Debt hits 150% GDP? Why isn’t the GOP hammering Obama and the Democrats with that same question? Look, it doesn’t matter how much they raise taxes if they just raise spending that much more, and that is all the Democrats are going to do with these Obama Tax Hikes. We hav to fight back, and we simply aren’t doing that. We lost a close election, and look to be compounding that with mistakes in its aftermath. Fight the battles you can win. Obama is going to raise taxes. That is a given. Call them the Obama Tax Hikes, and hammer the fact that they are going to hurt small business. That would be a start. But if the Republicans let Obama slide (and it looks like they are going to) then nothing that we cdo can pin the blame for the catastrophe on him. I don’ thave any real hope for the United States as a whole. The best I can hope for is an amicable separation of the States into regional governments, and that some vestiage of the Old Republic will continue in the part of the country I live in.

  16. 16 | November 27, 2012 9:10 am

And here’s how the left plays politics. A conservative mayor is elected. Starts fighting unions, cutting budgets, taxes, and so forth. The left has a hissy fit and all they can come up with is that he used office stationary to solicit donations for a local youth football team he supports through coaching and other means. Total amount recieved? $3,150 dollars. He was taken to court over this and yesterday the court said that he is to be removed from office and repay the $3,150 of donations. The good news is that Mayor Rob Ford is fighting and appealing this judgement. Meanwhile in London Ontario, the current mayor is fighting removal after he is being charged with criminal misuse of city funds used in a personal family wedding.

Difference between the two mayors? One is conservative and the other is Liberal.

    1. All foreign aid starts at $0.00. Would-be recipients need to show how why they need aid and why they deserve it.
    2. Abolish the departments of Education and Energy. They produce neither education nor energy.
    3. Abolish all departments and stop funding for all departments, laws, etc… that contain the phrases “global warming” and/or “climate change”.
    4. Put the work requirements back into all welfare programs and add a drug test requirement.
    5. Get the government out of the “green energy” business.

Unfortunately, if experience in Iran is any guide, the Obama administration will align itself with the jihadist oppressors rather than their anti-Islamist opponents. It will try to thwart any congressional effort to restrict further engagement with the Morsi regime, for example, by cutting off or conditioning foreign aid and military sales. Team Obama probably also will try to protect the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood’s bids for additional financial assistance through billions of dollars’ worth of international loans and debt relief.

To what extent are individuals with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood who are working in or serving as advisers to the Obama administration contributing to these clearly counterproductive national security policies?

Five Republican members of Congress — Rep. Michele Bachmann, Rep. Louie Gohmert, Rep. Trent Franks, Rep. Lynn A. Westmoreland and Rep. Thomas J. Rooney — presciently raised this concern last June and were roundly criticized for doing so (including by some in their own party). They appear to have been vindicated in their warnings that such influence operations are putting us on the wrong side of history. We cannot afford to remain there, to the benefit of our enemies and their jihadist agenda.

How will we ever get anywhere close to fiscal stability when this is the prevailing view of the morons who control the WH and the Senate?
WH: Obamacare ‘reduces the deficit considerably,’ won’t be touched in fiscal cliff deal.

House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, notwithstanding, the White House would rather go over the fiscal cliff than touch any part of Obamacare, President Obama’s spokesman indicated today.

“The Affordable Care Act reduces the deficit considerably,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters today. “I would simply point out to you that the Supreme Court has spoken, the American people have spoken, congressional leaders of both parties have spoken, and we’re going to continue with implementation.”

Boehner said that the fiscal cliff negotiations need to include Obamacare. “The president’s health care law adds a massive, expensive, unworkable government program at a time when our national debt already exceeds the size of our country’s entire economy,” he wrote in an op-ed for the Cincinnati Enquirer. “We can’t afford it, and we can’t afford to leave it intact. That’s why I’ve been clear that the law has to stay on the table as both parties discuss ways to solve our nation’s massive debt challenge.”

“Similarly, Qatar recognizes that Islamists are an indelible part of the political landscape in Libya and a potentially combustible one, given that, per capita, eastern Libya alone provided twice as many would-be jihadists as any other Arabic-speaking country to the Iraqi resistance in 2007 and 2008. Ignoring or marginalizing this demographic would not be prudent; but from the West’s perspective, engaging with even reformed Islamist fighters is difficult. This is the niche that Qatar is trying to fill in Libya and elsewhere.”

This is a facility of which President Obama is anxious to avail himself.

Comedian Paul Mercurio provided a soft defense of Foxx’s comments, saying “I understand how African-Americans and Jamie Foxx could be very proud.”

“They’re proud of their heritage and they’re proud Obama is in the White House, and good for them,” he added. “Yes, it’s over the top…He’s not our savior. And the tip-off is, you don’t need Obamacare if you have the ability to cure lepers with a mere touch. If he’s the savior he should be able to do that.”

“I think he thinks he’s Jesus because like Jesus Obama gave gifts to the poor to curry favor,” Mercurio joked.

Radio host Mary Walter went further on a limb and provided her take, which she admitted may be a little “conspiracy theorist.”

“I’m seeing something that I’m sure Paul won’t see, but it’s part of this whole thing of: the intellectually superior don’t need the crutch of religion. You know, those of us who are clinging to our guns and religion — we’re somehow less evolved,” she said. “It’s about a societal religion as opposed to a church religion, because if the government gives you everything, the government becomes your religion, and he’s our leader.”

Turkey about to solve the Kurd problem..the Ottoman way

ANKARA – Turkey took a step towards prosecuting Kurdish deputies accused of militant ties on Tuesday by seeking an end to their immunity, a move which could weaken Kurdish representation in parliament and fuel tension in the southeast.

Ten Kurdish MPs were accused of militant links after they were filmed in August embracing Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) rebels, rifles slung over their shoulders, in images which provoked public outrage.

Turkey has been battling PKK militants near its southeastern borders with Iran, Iraq and Syria since they took up arms almost three decades ago to push for autonomy, in a conflict that has killed more than 40,000 people, mostly PKK members.

The PKK is designated a terrorist group by Turkey, the United States and European Union.

Kurdish members of parliament have been the subject of frequent investigations, accused of links to the militants, but are protected from prosecution while they are in office, unless the assembly votes otherwise.

Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday he favored lifting their immunity, and on Tuesday his office forwarded a request from state prosecutors to parliament seeking permission to investigate the 10 deputies, a senior official said. http://www.jpost.com/Headlines/Article.aspx?id=293656

Oh, and BTW, what is your plan for tackling the deficit, seeing as how it will be at 150% GDP by the end of the second Obama Administration? Riasing taxes on the “rich” won’t bring in enough money to even begin to cover Obama’s deficits, and neither will cutting the military.

Teaching the Bible as written will become “hate speech”; this is already happening in Europe. Traditional churches and synagogues will be forced to perform same-sex marriage on “equal protection” grounds. Businesses—private businesses—are already being sued on “equal protection” grounds by same-sex couples when those businesses decline same-sex marriage business, as the gay lobby hermit-crabs its way into the shell of the old Civil Rights Movement.

Waters: ‘We’ve Got to Increase Those Tax Rates’

Chief deputy whip Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) clarified this morning that fiscal cliff compromise only begins if Democrats get the tax hikes they want first.

“The president has made it abundantly clear that he’s prepared to compromise if, in fact, the Republicans understand that we have to raise taxes on the richest 1 percent or so in this country. They’re not willing to do that,” Waters said on CNN.

And Republicans’ willingness to find the revenue through tax reform — closing loopholes, nixing some deductions, etc. — is also apparently a non-starter.

“Basically, what they’re saying is, we can, you know, get the resources that we need, the revenue, rather, that we need, by closing loopholes, and some reforms. But they’re not willing to deal with the tax rates,” she said. “That’s a no starter. We have to have all of those tax cuts that were afforded to them by the Bush administration on the table. We’ve got to increase those tax rates.”

“And so, they don’t have a credible proposal on the table and we are, and the president is willing to compromise and to talk about cuts and discretionary spending, if, in fact, we can get started with understanding we have to have the revenue in order to have a credible compromise.”

Waters said that raising tax rates on the upper income brackets, regardless if the revenue is made up through reform, is the “holdup.”

Gee, where have I heard this before?

Also, Warren Buffett’s slick, shady little move on raising taxes – so says the man who now has enough accumulated wealth that he doesn’t need to earn another dime for the rest of his miserable life and can live on his current assets, even if they were taxed at the rate of 90%.

Meanwhile, he cheerfully believes others who are working hard or taking risks and gambling on increasing their wealth should pay prohibitive tax rates that will not reduce spending, the debt or the deficit one iota. Like I said yesterday, I wonder what the investors at Berkshire Hathaway think when Warren’s busy giving away their money.

NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen has said the Patriot missiles to be deployed on the Turkish-Syrian border to counter threats from Syria will be under NATO control.

Speaking in an interview on Tuesday, NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said the NATO decision endorsing the deployment of missiles will be made in the coming days. Approval by the parliaments of member countries are required for the organization to send the missiles. The missile system’s transport, expected to be by sea, will also take time.

Rasmussen also announced that the missiles will remain under NATO control. The missiles will be installed by NATO allies and will be under the command of the alliance, said Rasmussen.

U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon called Monday for renewed efforts to achieve a two-state solution in the Middle East following last week’s ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

“More than ever, we need a negotiated two-state solution ending the occupation and the conflict,” he said at the inauguration of a new center for interreligious dialogue in Vienna.

“I am determined to ensure that the ceasefire is sustainable. Both sides must adhere to the agreement,” Ban said of the truce achieved last Wednesday between Israel and Hamas after a week of deadly attacks on both sides.

But this was not enough, he said. http://english.alarabiya.net/articles/2012/11/27/252015.html

Speaking of the deification of Obama:

A painting that features President Obama posed as Jesus Christ crucified on is on display at a community college art gallery in Boston.

The painting by Michael D’Antuono is part of a larger exhibit called “Artists on the Stump – the Road to the White House 2012.” It’s on display at the Bunker Hill Community College Art Gallery until Dec. 15th.

FOLLOW TODD ON FACEBOOK FOR CULTURE WAR NEWS. CLICK HERE TO JOIN!

The painting is called “Truth” – and shows the president with his arms outstretched. A crown of thorns rests on his head.

It was originally supposed to debut nearly four years ago at New York City’s Union Square. But that event was cancelled due to public outrage.

“I always regretted cancelling my exhibit in New York because I feel my First Amendment rights should override someone’s hurt feelings,” D’Antuono told Fox News. “We should celebrate the fact that we live in a country where we are given the freedom to express ourselves.”

If dude had any balls he’d do a cartoon of Mohammed, but then his Christ-figure President would throw him in jail for incitement.
