A few memorable anniversaries on the Palestinians’ big day; and Hungarian Prime Minister raps far right while vowing to protect Hungary’s Jews

The time is long past for Israel to politely but firmly tell Hillary Clinton where she can put her “outrage”.

by Caroline Glick

With the nations of Europe and the rest of the world lining up to support the PLO bid to receive non-member state status at the UN General Assembly, it is worth noting two anniversaries of related but forgotten events.

Of course, everyone knows the obvious anniversary – Nov. 29, 1947 was the day the UN General Assembly passed the plan to recommend the partition the British Mandate of Palestine into a Jewish state and an Arab state. The Jews accepted the plan. The Arabs — both local and regional – rejected it. The local Arabs who 25 years later became known as “Palestinians,” responded to the passage of UNGA resolution 181 by launching a terror war against the Jews. Their war was commanded by Iraqi and Lebanese terror masters and supported by the British military and its Arab Legion from Transjordan.

On May 15, 1948 five foreign Arab armies invaded the just-declared Jewish state with the declared aim of annihilating all the Jews.

Now for a couple less known anniversaries

On November 28, 1941 the religious and political leader of the Palestinian Arabs and one of the most influential leaders of the Arab world Haj Amin el Husseini met with Adolf Hitler in Berlin. Husseini had courted the Nazis since just after the Nazis rose to power in 1933. Husseini was forced to flee the British Mandate in 1937 when he expanded his fourth terror war against the Jews, that he began in 1936 to include the British as well.

He fled to Lebanon, and then in October 1939 he fled to Iraq. In April 1941 he fomented a pro-Nazi coup in Iraq. As the British — with massive unheralded assistance from the Jews from the land of Israel — were poised to enter Baghdad and restore the pro-British government, Husseini incited the Farhud, a 3-day pogrom against the Jews of Baghdad that took place over the festival of Shavuot. 150 Jews were murdered. A thousand were wounded and 900 Jewish homes were destroyed.

With the coup defeated and the Jews murdered, Husseini escaped to then pro-Nazi Iran and then in October to Germany by way of Italy. [........]

He arrived in Berlin and two and a half weeks later he had a prolonged private meeting with Hitler. There, on November 28, 1941, two months before the Wannssee Conference, where the German high command received its first orders to annihilate European Jewry, Hitler told Husseini that he intended to eradicate the Jewish people from the face of Europe.

Husseini remained in Berlin through the end of the war and served as a Nazi agent. In Berlin he broadcast daily diatribes to the Arab world on German shortwave radio in Arabic. Specifically Husseini exhorted them to kill the Jews in the name of Allah and make common cause with the Nazis who would deliver them from the Jews, the British and the Americans.

In 1943 Husseini organized the Hazhar SS Division of Bosnian Muslims. His division carried out the massacre of 90 percent of the Bosnian Jewish community of 12,000.

[........]

During the war Husseini used his broadcasts to shape the political and religious  consciousness of the Muslim world by fusing Islamic Jew hatred with annihilationist Nazi anti-Semitism. Whereas much of the Nazi anti-Semitic ideology was discredited in postwar Europe, it has remained the single most resonant theme of Arab politics since World War II.

In 1946, as his fellow Nazi war criminals were being tried in Nuremberg, Husseini made a triumphant return to Egypt where he was welcomed as a war hero by King Farouk, the Muslim Brotherhood and the young officers in the Egyptian army who fused Nazi national socialism with the Islamism of the Muslim Brotherhood and took over Egypt after deposing Farouk in 1951.

The founder of Palestinian nationalism’s singleminded dedication to the genocide of Jewry brings us to the second notable but forgotten anniversary we passed over this month.

On Nov. 12 1942 the British led forces  – with the massive and unreported support of Jewish commando and engineering units from the land of Israel — defeated Germany’s Afrika Corps led by Gen. Rommel in the second Battle of Alamein. [........] Husseini and Himmler had planned that under German occupation, the Arabs would expand the Holocaust to the 800,000 Jews of the Arab world and the 450,000 Jews in the land of Israel. To this end, the Germans had organized the Einzatzgruppen Afrika unit attached to Rommel’s army. Under the command of SS LTC Walter Rauff, it was tasked with murdering Jews located in the areas that were to come under German occupation.

It is fitting that yesterday, on the anniversary of Hitler’s meeting with Husseini, Germany announced that it would not oppose Husseini’s heirs’ bid to receive UN recognition of a Palestinian state that seeks Israel’s destruction.

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Lately there has been some disturbing indications of an increase in anrti-Semtism in Hungary, a nation with a tragic past for its Jews and which has the largest Jewish population in Eastern Europe

BUDAPEST – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Monday condemned a call by a far-right Jobbik lawmaker to draw up lists of Jews as “unworthy” of his country, promising he would protect all citizens from any kind of discrimination.

Orban was responding to comments by Marton Gyongyosi, one of Jobbik’s 44 lawmakers in the 386-seat parliament, who said on November 27 during a debate on violence in the Gaza Strip that it would be “timely” to draw up a list of people of Jewish ancestry who posed a national security risk.

His remarks, for which he later apologized, triggered international outrage. The US Embassy said it condemned “in the strongest terms the outrageous anti-Semitic remarks made on the floor of Parliament by a Jobbik parliamentarian”.

Seeking to distance himself and his country from the comments, Orban said Gyongyosi’s outburst had no place in modern Hungary.

“Last week sentences were uttered in parliament which are unworthy of Hungary,” Orban told parliament, responding to a lawmaker from the opposition Socialist party.

“I rejected this call on behalf of the government and I would like you to know that as long as I am standing in this place, no one in Hungary can be hurt or discriminated against because of their faith, conviction or ancestry.”

He and the rest of the country would protect Hungary’s Jewish population, he added.

Lawmaker claims his remarks “misunderstood”

Gyongyosi has said his remarks were misunderstood, saying he had only been referring to Hungarians with Israeli passports in the government and parliament. He has refused to resign over the scandal.

On Sunday, more than 10,000 Hungarians protested against the far-right with leaders from governing and opposition parties denouncing Gyongyosi’s call, which they said echoed the Nazi era. The rally united the country’s deeply divided political scene in an unprecedented way.

Jobbik dismissed the protest as “political alarmism” and Gabor Vona, its leader, told parliament on Monday that Gyongyosi had only been suggesting examining “the citizenship of MPs and government members”.
[......]

“But there were those professionally frightful, those policy-bereft hysterics who thought otherwise and put on the old record crying anti-Semitism,” he said.

“In between two bouts of hysteria you should not forget that this country had been destroyed by Fidesz and the Socialist party, and not Jobbik. And its Jobbik’s task to rebuild it.”

Orban’s conservative Fidesz party swept to power with a two-thirds parliamentary majority in 2010, ousting the Socialists.

[.......]

The party has since retained support in the recession-hit central European country and some analysts believe it may hold the balance of power between Fidesz and the left-wing opposition in the next elections in 2014.

Almost 80,000 Jews live in Hungary. I don’t want to judge the Hungarians based on a few nutjobs.

Miss Glick made a mistake referring to Rommel as Gen. Rommel. He was promoted to Field Marshal in 1942 after the capture of Tobruk.

A lot of people do not know that the Nazis had plans for the Jews of British Mandate Palestine. They formed Einsatzgruppe Egypt which was stationed in Greece to fly into Palestine after the Afrika Korps had captured it and with the help of the local Arabs to exterminate the 500,000 Jews living there and from there get to work on the Jews of Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. SS. war criminal Col. Walter Rauff was to command the Einsatzgruppe.

It is worth noting the Husseini was appointed by the Jewish British High Commissioner for the new Mandate, Lord Samuels. It is also important to remember that Arafat was a fruit of the same poisonous family tree.

The Afrika Korps under Erwin Rommel did not commit atrocities but who knows If they would have stopped Einsatzgruppe Egypt. Field Marshal Rommel to his eternal credit refused to execute Jewish prisoners of war (disobeying Hitler’s order). Would he have suppressed the S.S. in “Palestine”?

Nazis, Arabs planned Final Solution for pre-state Israel
New study: Special SS squad formed for Jews of ‘Palestine’

Nazi Germans responding to the pleas of Palestinian Arabs planned to open up a “branch” of the Holocaust in the Land of Israel and exterminate the half-a-million Jews then living in the land in line with Adolph Hitler’s plan to rid mankind of its “Jewish problem.”

According to reports carried in the Israeli press over the weekend, a new study by two German historians has revealed that in 1942 the Nazis created a special SS force -- one of its mobile death squads known as “Einsatzgruppe” -- tasked to do to the Jews in British-mandated Palestine what was being done to them in Poland and other parts of Europe.

Called the “Einsatzgruppe Egypt,” this Jew-killing force was formed shortly after “Palestinian” leader Haj Amin al-Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem, personally visited Hitler in Berlin and offered the services of his people to the cause of the Third Reich.

    From the great Sultan Knish:

The government middle class is the most hopeless middle class in all of history. It aspires to nothing and it dreams of nothing. In previous generations its workers at least flirted with radical politics. Today you can still find some Stalinists in government offices, but most of them are old, and the rest are more likely to read Farrakhan than Karl Marx, and most will settle for 50 Shades of Grey. Their bosses are using them to take over the system from within, but they are just drones, woefully aware of how hopeless their task is, and they will show up at protests to demand more funding and resources, but mostly they just show up to protect their benefits. It’s the benefits that keep them from killing themselves. Or going on welfare.

Finally there is the government upper class. The bosses and their bosses who don’t just live in suburbs, but lived in gated communities. Racially they tend to be whiter than just about any other group that you can think of. And their neighborhoods of choice tend to be even whiter than that. Imagine the place furthest away, conceptually, though not geographically, from the welfare hood, and you arrive at the places where the consultants, the top administrators and bosses of the government class reside.

There is no hopelessness here. Everyone wears ski clothes, even when they aren’t anywhere in sight of a white powered slope. They counsel low gas mileage for others, but drive SUVs. They build cages for the government lower and middle classes, but live in sizable houses. They ride bikes, but only when they want to. In behavior and attitude, they are mostly indistinguishable from their fellow wealthy liberals. The only difference is the source of their money and the lower productivity.

It is this group that incessantly manufactures crises, constantly comes up with schemes to make a broken system work better and juggles money between private foundations and government grants, moving back and forth between professorships, government consultancies and private foundations until you need a scorecard to keep up.

They aspire to authentic things and eat up working class misery with a spoon. Many have their own hardship tales of the time they worked as a waiter to pay their tuition, because their parents had cut them off, or their time with the Peace Corps in Africa or with Habitat for Humanity in Costa Rica. Religion is a vague thing to them, but they associate anti-materialism with spirituality and use the plight of the well-off as their own private church. Movies like Precious or Winter’s Bone are their poverty porn that they then use to justify their abuses of power. Because people are suffering.

Elizabeth Warren is one of the breed. As are countless others just like her. There is an endless crowd of them, all dressing down, embracing what they think is authenticity, their voice frozen into a lecturing tone, their bookshelves crowded with inspiring tales of white people helping others in the Third World and finding their deeper soul in the process. They all have too many degrees, too many plans and too much power.

In fact the Hungarians apologized for severing ties in 1967 and said (correctly) that the USSR forced them to do so. I know all about the Arrow Cross Party and World War II Hungary. The allied bombings of Germany’s cities in World War II (especially the firebombing of cities), was counter productive, did not break German morale and frankly Arthur “Bomber” Harris the head of the “RAF Bomber Command” was a bit of a psychopath and a loathsome creature who would have made a perfect Luftwaffe general. He thought that strategic bombing would end the war by bringing Germany to its knees which would then make a land invasion unnecessary. He was monumentally wrong.

But becuase Obaa’s resume was so thin he was very difficult to attack, though John McCain didn’t even make a pretense of doing so. Obama was known as a radical on abortion, being the only person in the Illinois Senate to vote against the Infants Born Alive act. Then she noticed it and didn’t like it one bit. I have no sympathy for her. Tax her ass off. She voted for it. It is just a shame that so many of us have to have their taxes raised along with her. HEADLINE!! HEADLINE!! STOP THE PRESSES!!

Auction for an intimate hour with Sandra Fluke closes two days early

The auction for a private one-hour online “strategy session” with women’s rights activist Sandra Fluke ended two days early because the auctioneer, a charitable website BiddingForGood, deemed some responses to the auction as unacceptably “harassing.”

“We had a wonderful opportunity to make Sandra Fluke available for a consulting session with the highest bidder in this auction, but unfortunately, due to a disturbingly high number of harassing responses to this item, we have decided to close the auction two days early,” BiddingForGood said in a special note on the webpage for the auction.

“We congratulate the winning bidder, and we apologize to those who share our enthusiasm to collaborate with Sandra and expected an opportunity to continue bidding on this auction item.”

    [ ]

The winning bidder was apparently RosieR, who bid $400

Did you see that story the other day that fewer men intend to marry because ‘women are no longer women’?

Fluke is marrying into the Mutterperl family -- go forth and google -- but for the most part -- and I keep harping on this -- men are becoming devalued and scorned.

I’ve been giving this some thought -- not coherent yet -- but I don’t like it. I was blessed with the father I had (no, he wasn’t perfect) but he was a man’s man.

There are very few incentives for a man to marry these days. It represents a substantial risk, with very few rewards. After my first wife, I refused to even consider marriage for 20 years. That changed, but it took a very special woman to change it. I wouldn’t have married just anybody. The biggest thing that I see wrong with the so-called “Women’s” movement is that they pick the very worst of men to emulate, and then call that “Liberation”. Most men find that behavior unseemly among men. Why on earth would they ever condone it in a woman, let alone consent to marry that? I guess Sandra Fluke has found her a meek, metrosexual man that she can dominate, but most men just don’t want or accept that.

“There is due process,” Mr. Malte said. “Gun possession is allowed if competency is restored. It’s up to the professionals to make that determination.”

Mentally Ill people still buy guns even if there is a law. To really stem that flaw there would have to be an escalation to a broader level of gun registration and control. And I wouldn’t put it past people in the VA to label PSTD as a severe mental illness.

If mentally ill people are a danger to themselves or others, they shouldn’t just be dumped on the streets wher ethey can and will harm themselves or others. That, apparently, isn’t the kind of mental illness the gun controllers are talking about. So yes, I am sure that they consider PTSD as a “debilitating” illness sufficient to breach your constitutional rights.

Life here is reasonably good. To tell you the truth, I work so many hours, and after that household chores, there isn’t much time for me to get in too much trouble.

I wanted to consider moving to VA when we were looking for a new home a couple of years ago, but it was important to my wife to stay near to her friends. What is important to her is important to me, I am sure you understand, so we stayed here in the People’s Republic of MD.

Thousands of years of evolution actross nearly all cultures have been geared towards distinctly different roles for the male and the female. Western culture, going back thousands of years, has seen feminity as the hallmark of women. I don’t think that 40 years of bottom-of-the-barrel” feminism” is going to change that. Any more than Hollyweird defined meterosexuality is going to become the new standard for men. There will be a subset of the population that buys into both, but I think that will be trendy and transitory. Ten years from now, when the economy goes tits-up for good. A lot of these women will be changing their minds on being bar whores for a living.

That is already going on. They (VA) label as many as possible with PTSD. They tried everything they could to do it to me when I retired. They push it because it boosts their funding and I hate to say it, but I feel there is this whole gun issue involved.

I know, this is a dead thread. Wish I could comment in a more timely fashion, but sadly I don’t get a lot of access to political sites @ work. . .

Orban is often accused of being a fascist, and maybe he is, but he is a pre-1930 Italian form of fascist. Maybe even a pre-1938 Austrian form of fascist. (That “fascism” was libertarian patriotism, hardly fascist at all.)

Jobbik has… issues with teh jooooz. Jobbik had themselves been outed as under control of the Chosen People. So I can see why Jobbik are paranoid. But it is too late! We have our Zionist moles burrowed in too far… muahhahaha.

I consider Tito to be an Orban / Franco kinda guy. He took over as “a communist” like Franco took over in the 1930s as “a fascist” but, really, all of these were just local strongmen. Franco never had Hitler’s back. Likewise Tito never had Stalin / Krushchev / Brezhnev’s back. And we’re now seeing that Orban has no use for Golden Dawn wannabes.

Orban might be able to use the Jobbik, like Franco used the Phalange, and then squash them when they are of no more use. But this is a dangerous game -- as von Papen learnt in Germany.

Further south, there’s Greece. Currently there seems to be nobody in charge over there who can keep Golden Dawn in check.

If you don’t have a responsible, conservative party against open immigration (particularly Muslim immigration) you may end up with some less reputable types forming a party -- particularly during times of economic collapse.

Greece was better off under the conservative military junta. Hopefully they’ll get another one before it’s too late.
