One thing I have to give Progressive credit for. They are very good at using propaganda. They are experts at manipulating people and using emotions. The Right as currently incarnated can’t even punch its way through a paper bag. The below clip is from the California Teacher Federation. It’s narrated by Marxist actor, Ed Asner. The cartoon is full of lies, but it is very simple and effective.
Why the Right can’t come up propaganda like this is beyond me.
(hat Tip: Lobo91)

Meanwhile, California schools are ranked pretty much at the bottom, our drop out rate is almost 50%. Shows you why Charter Schools and Home Schooling is on the rise in this state, despite attempts by the jerks at the Teachers’ Union to stop it.
@ Carolina Girl:
I wish we came up with better propaganda.
@ Rodan:
That is really the biggest part of our problem; We refuse to even acknowledge that the Propagnda works. There is a propaganda war ggoing on, but we refuse to participate, and like all unilateral disarmaments, all it does is allow our enemy to stomp on us. The Democrats have mastered the art of propaganda in a way that makes Goebbles look like an amature. We need to fight fire with fire, but I don’t see the Republican establishment doing that. We should be running commercials against Obama today in every major media market. Bring the message to the people that Obama is bringing this country down.

This whole cartoon is full of lies. You and I know this. But the average person would fall for this crap. It’s very effective and this is why Obama won.

You got a point there.

I guess I don’t understand how making the rich pay more taxes will do anything about our inept government.
Our government spending has not decreased at all, it went up under bush and it is going up like a rocket under Obama and median income is falling.
They illustrate tax cuts by showing a big pair of scissors cutting public services, but public services have increased.

Average income is falling fast and will continue to fall until our standard of living is low enough to be sustained by an lower paying job.
How much that job pays is also based on the cost of compliance with government regulations and idiot trade deals.
We also have to pay for the cost of engineering and design that the rest of the world steals when we send our manufacturing to China, that also cuts wages.
@ Rodan:
It’s a rotten commercial.
@ Prebanned:
No companies are not hiring full time. They are hiring part workers to avoid Obamacare penalties.
@ theoutsider:
It works and that is why your side wins.
@ Rodan:
My side? Explain that sir?
If only the rich didnt have all that money to fall down and break our houses and schools and fire stations.
Our roads are in shambles because of tax cuts?
Look at this graph of government expendatures Notice anything about the last 20 years during which the rich are supposibly bleading our country dry?
dimocrats are filty evil lying scumbags.
You want to experience what life would be like if we were all self serving scumbag dimocrats?
Go visit a blue city like Chicago, DC, Detroit or NYC where you can die in the subway while the dimocrats watch and take pictures.

I am shamed that my country has not stood up and gotten to the bottom of Benghazi. The entire fiasco stinks to high heaven, but the MFM dutifully follows the democrat party line, and the GOP allows the democrats and the MFM (one in the same) define the conversation.
Families want to know what happened in Benghazi
Obama administration not telling whole story, they say

There’s plenty of good conservative ‘propaganda’ (I call it ‘truth’). Look at all the great stuff put out by Andrew Klaven, Bill Whittle, AlfonZo of ZoNation, … etc. on PJTV.
Our problem is we can’t get it seen by the masses. We don’t control the public schools (and the billions of tax payer dollars) which the leftists use to propagandize our children.
I have to admit that I was relieved when I reached the end of the video, without hearing Asner even once refer to those evil so-called “rich people” as “Jews.” Indeed, the most historically-anomalous (but very welcome) aspect of our current economic crisis is that, so far, the Jews have not been specifically singled-out for blame, scapegoating, and persecution (e.g., pogroms). Seriously, how long can this state of relative-sanity last?
It’s not about the rich paying taxes, It’s about class envy and the bookiemmn.
@ My 2 Cents:
They’ve managed, so far, to constrain their anti-Semitism to the venue of Israel and the so-called Palestinians, but on that topic they are as vile as Julius Streicher. Outside of that, I think that it isn’t politically correct to be openly anti-Semitic, but it is politically correct to be “anti-Zionist”, which is the same thing. That state of affairs will last only so long as the Democrats find the Jewish vote more useful than having a Semitic boogyman to distract the population with.

I agree with you generally, but I still note that the popular press are not (yet) blaming America’s economic crisis specifically on Israel either, although it is occasionally asserted that we waste money on Israel that should stay here.
Overall, I am stunned that the current level of *public* antisemitism (especially given the influence of Islamists, black liberation theology, etc) in the US is so (relatively-speaking) low!
Since Proposition 30 has already passed in California, which increases taxes on the “rich,” I have to say I’m somewhat at a loss to understand why they felt the need to expend those funds they say are limited to produce such a “public service” ad. I’d like to remind people that live outside the Golden State that we have two lotteries -- California Lottery and the multi-state Megamillions -- which are supposed to provide funding for schools. In addition, we have, because liberals love to “budget by ballot” and passed Prop 98 which allocated a 39% baseline of the California budget for education. Now the passage of Prop 30 last election supposedly affords even more money going to the schools (ostensibly to make up for the baseline budgeting that was “appropriated” to pay for other things). So you ask yourself -- “what’s the point of this.”
The answer: Proposition 13. Jerry Brown and the Democrat supermajorities more than anything want to eviscerate Prop 13, especially the provisions that require taxpayer approval by 2/3rds of tax increases. If you paint Prop 13 as a big tax break for the wealthy with their McMansions, etc., you will be able to get pull onboard those who have either lost their homes or never owned homes to begin with. No one will remember why Prop 13 was passed in the first place -- that people were losing their homes in the 1970′s not to foreclosure or recession but to the prohibitive property taxes passed by every county.

The infuriating thing about Benghazi is that the Libs say “There is
nothing there, let’s move on.” Kind of like the Obama “bumps in the

Four Americans are dead & there needs to be answers for the actions &

The issue is not that Susan Rice Is Black and female.
@ RIX:
George Bush fired 8 U.S. Attorneys and the reaction of the liberal media and the Democrats was so intense you would have thought he’d had them put before a firing squad. They demanded hearings and wanted answers.
You have four dead Americans, a set of highly questionable circumstances and an AWOL President, and their answer is “Look! A Squirrel!”

I never understood that firestorm. Am I incorrect in my understanding that US Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President? My wife has been with the USAO Office since Reagan and the USAO changes with administrations, like clockwork.
Would I be correct in the assumption that the USAOs traditionally tender their resignations and these ones who were fired did not?
Isn’t Ed Asner rich?
@ RIX:
There is much grist for the mill regarding Benghazi. The double standards and media bias are some of the worst. As far as I am concerned the media is complicit by their actions to aid in the cover-up and attacks on those asking for answers.
Agreed, the gender and ethnicity of the liar is immaterial. It is the proverbial shiny object meant to distract.

@ 21 Fritz Katz:Trouble is that the GoP leadership is tone deaf when it comes to new media. Months before the election I asked Reince Preibus via email and my local GoP to start visiting blogs like this one and rolling up the ideas. Typically all that happened was no feedback whatsoever but I was added to mailing lists. TFK once made the point that in situations like this only money talks.

@ 31 MacDuff: I was the same way. What was the big deal about that. GWB though rolled over for the media. One of the attorney’s was a local person and made out to be a hero in the local media. like he was a whistleblower that was fired and not an on demand attorney.

Governments almost never actually cut spending. Even the Ryan budget would have been more “cuts” that meant things grew more slowly that real, substantive cuts, and look at hw the Left squawked about that. When local governments Do really cut, though, they usually make sure that the cuts hurt the public rather than cutting real fat. That is how Republican Don Sundquist handled it here in Tennessee when we wouldn’t go along with his plan to create a state income tax. It can help if you get rid of the politician. We got rid of Sundquist and replaced him with one of the rare breed of conservative Democrats, Phil Bredesen. Bredesen managed not to run much of a deficit without creating a State income tax for 8 years, and now we are in a real Republican administration and things are still running smoothly (relatively speaking) without a State income tax. The problem is being able to hold the politician’s feet to the fire. Real Conservative Democrats are rarer than hen’s teeth. Bredesen has no future in national politics because the Democrats have become so far Left. It is a shame, really. He wasn’t a bad governor at all.

Yep -- this is the Teacher’s Union helping Jerry Brown get Proposition 13 modified. At least I know the Howard Jarvis people won’t take this attempt lying down.
@ heysoos:
This is what the Tea Party should do if it was serious. As soon as Obama starts bombing Syria, go out into the streets and protest it. They will not because the Tea Party has been hijacked by the GOP and the modern Republican Party is Wilsonian and subservient to the interests of the Muslim Brotherhood. On foreign policy, both parties are a bunch of Islamic nation building ass kissers. Neither one is Conservative on foreign policy.
