Cory Booker supports Gun Rights

Democrat Cory Booker is more pro Gun rights than that Republican fake Guido Chris Christie. He claims the gun debate a false debate and there’s nothing to fear from law abiding gun owners.

Amazing. He just kiied his shot at being PResident, though. Obama wants strict (read total) gun control. Deviating from the party line will bw remembered by this White House.

The “secondary market” Booker was talking about there is private sales and gun shows.

In most states, sales at gun shows already require a background check, so that’s a red herring. Trying to regulate private sales is virtually impossible, though, unless you have some sort of a gun registration scheme first. Otherwise, how can you enforce it?

    @ lobo91:

Yeah he was off on that point.

He was correct in his first point, which is that very few legal gun owners commit crimes. Same goes for people with concealed carry permits. They tend to be far more law-abiding than the general public, probably because it doesn’t take much to have your permit revoked.

    from drudge:
Map: Where are the gun permits in your neighborhood?

Trying to intimidate but this may cause folks to buy more ammo

    @ waldensianspirit:

Of course, that’s in one of the socialist states that requires a permit to own a gun.

It really irks me when some idiot “journalist” does that crap with CCW permits.

The biggest lie about all of the proposals coming out of the left is that any of them would have prevented the CT shootings.

Make the background checks as strict as you want. Wouldn’t have mattered. The shooter stole his weapons.

Make the penalties stricter. Wouldn’t have mattered. He killed himself.

Ban so-called “assault weapons.” Wouldn’t matter, since they aren’t talking about actually confiscating them. All a “ban” would do is cause prices to go up.

    Same for large magazines.

Come to think of it, these maps come in handy for burglars; they know which houses to avoid

    @ waldensianspirit:

That is probably the Idea. The Democrats are de facto pro-criminal. They always have been in my lifetime.

Peggy Noonan. Gee. I didn’t realize she had become both a hag and an idiot.
