What is interesting to note is that they are still alive today to have been written about, as the media reported on their imminent deaths within the next 12 months way back in March of 2011. So, they’re still alive and healthy as it turns out, maybe Nuclear Power isn’t the vast evil we’re promised it is after all.

In real terms, the radiation doses these guys received were tiny. The primary effect of the levels they received would be an increased incidence of certain types of cancer. At their age, it’s pretty much irrelevant, because they’ll most likely die of something else before any such effects every manifested themselves.
