The NRA Annual Meeting and Convention will be held this year May 3 through May 5 at the George Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston, Texas. For all of those concerned about the Obama Regime’s assault on our Second Amendment Rights, this year’s convention will be an important venue for expressing our opinions and supporting the NRA’s defense of our constitutional right to bear arms. It will also be an excellent time for a Blogmacracy get together. So far we have already had several Blogmateers who live in the Houston area who have said that they will, or would like to attend… Bordm, Calo, Dolphin, Lily, and Unclassified. From out of state we have Mike C and Lobo who might attend. Bordm, Calo and Dolphin have been scouting places for us to eat, drink and partay and after more discussion we’ll come up with a plan.
If you plan on attending the Convention and need motel accommodations, I strongly recommend that you make your reservations as soon as possible. Many of the downtown hotels/motels are already booked. I’ll be staying at the Crowne Plaza River Oaks on the Southwest Freeway. Don’t ask me how much it costs because I used my Holiday Inn Rewards points to book the room. I plan on taking a cab to and from the convention. Downtown parking and traffic will be impossible. There is no subway system in downtown Houston.

Wish I could make it, but my vacation’s planned for DC in June.
My first real vacation in quite some time is scheduled for the week after Memorial Day. Lord knows where I will go….
