NY’s Fascist Senator Chuck Schumer, who has a dark vision for Americans, shows his totalitarian nature again. He is now calling on gun retailers to stop selling weapons until Congress gets legislation done. Keep in mind, there is no certainty that any legislation would pass Congress. But being the Fascist he is, Schumer thinks he can order private businesses around.
NEW YORK — Sen. Charles Schumer says retailers that sell assault weapons should stop offering them for purchase while Congress discusses gun regulation legislation.
Schumer on Sunday released a letter he sent to major retailers asking for a voluntary moratorium.
The New York Democrat says consumer demand for guns has gone up in the weeks since the December mass shooting in Newtown, Conn.
Schumer is an un-American totalitarian Fascist. If left to his own devices, he would see Americans disarmed and those who oppose his Fascist vision would be killed in camps. This Fascist jerk has no right to tell any business what they can sell. The fact that Schumer makes this suggestion shows his evil nature.
Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley proposes new Fascist laws against guns in his state. The proposal is a violation of the 2nd Amendment and personal freedom.
Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley will seek to institute some of the nation’s strictest gun-licensing requirements, ban assault weapons and restrict visitor access to schools in one of the most expansive government responses sought to last month’s school shooting in Newtown, Conn.
Perhaps most controversially, O’Malley (D) will ask the General Assembly to force prospective gun owners to provide fingerprints to state police, complete a hands-on weapon-familiarization and gun-safety course, and undergo a background check to be licensed.

The worst thing I can think of is that he simply orders the BATF to treat “assault weapons” (as defined by the BATF, so whatever the hell they want to) as Any Other Weapon under the NFA. I don’ tthink the Supereme Court will let that fly, but it’d take a couple of years for that to wind its way through the courts. I think there’d be massive civil disobediance to such an order, though.

It is an open question on whether or not the Democrats in the Senate would stand behind him while he’s cutting their legs out from under them like that. The wrong EO on gun control could be overturned by the Congress before the Supereme Court even gets to rule on it. It’ll be interesting to see what Obama does with it.
