Rich Progressives are always calling for higher taxes but when it comes down to their own taxes, rich progressives usually don’t pay them. The latest hypocrite is J. Shelby Bryan, who is the boyfriend of Vogue editor and hardcore Obamabot, Anna Wintour. He owes the IRS $1.2 million. To add insult to injury, Ms. Wintour is under consideration to be our UK Ambassador.

Mr Bryan, a former adviser to Bill Clinton who helped raise funds for Mr Obama’s re-election campaign, has owed the money to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) since 2006, according to court filings obtained by The Daily Telegraph from Texas.

Mr Bryan, who has been in a relationship with Ms Wintour since 1999, was also pursued for outstanding Texas property taxes, and has had energy companies he owns in the state chided by local authorities for falling behind on their financial filings.

The findings may threaten Ms Wintour’s confirmation as a US ambassador if nominated by Mr Obama. Her appointment would need to be approved by the US Senate, which has in the past objected to irregularities in the tax affairs of nominees and their partners.

Mr Bryan, 66, was said to have a fortune of $30 million when he left his second wife, Katherine, for Ms Wintour 13 years ago. He reportedly suffered a decline in personal wealth amid the financial crisis, however, and frequently stays at Ms Wintour’s $10 million townhouse in Manhattan.

Ms Wintour was one of Mr Obama’s leading fundraisers during his re-election campaign, bringing in $500,000 to the president’s coffers. At one $35,000-a-plate fundraising dinner in August, Mr Obama thanked “Anna and Shelby for being such extraordinary hosts”.

I will never understand why Republicans or Conservatives never point out the tax cheats like Mr. Bryan or Warren Buffet’s hypocrisy on taxes. The Democrats are the party of the rich and help their allies to not pay taxes. Instead of raising rates, we should have the IRS go after these tax cheats and not audit middle class people and small business owners. Anna Wintour and her boyfriend are part of the Neo-Fedual elite. The rules do not apply to them!

Maybe Obama will name Derick Jeter EPA director!

I thought she withdrew her application for Ambassador. IIRC, Vogue was going to gig her big time for scamming out of her current contract. Money is more important than being the Ambassador. It was never about serving the Country, anyway, but about serving Anna Wintour’s ego.

Morsi aide: Holocaust an American fabrication

A top aide to Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi said U.S. intelligence made up the Holocaust in order to wreck Germany’s public image during World War II, according to various media reports.

So what happened to the reported 6 million Jews who were killed by the Nazis? In a Fox News report, Fathi Shihab-Eddim, a senior aide to Mr. Morsi who’s authorized to appoint editors at the state-run newspapers, answered: They moved to the United States.

“The myth of the Holocaust is an industry that America invented,” he said in the Fox News report. “U.S. intelligence agencies in cooperation with their counterparts in allied nations during World War II created it to destroy the image of their opponents in Germany, and to justify war and massive destruction against military and civilian facilities of the Axis powers, and especially to hit Hiroshima and Nagasaki with the atomic bomb.”

Warren Buffet and George Soros are other examples. The Progressives do not mind raising taxes, they will just not pay it. The Dems will now call for more taxes since their rich buddies will just not pay it. Obama will never allow the IRS to audit one of his donors.

O/T again, but I don’t think I have seen a better description of the State Department’s purpose. Tongue in cheek of course.

The State Department exists to undermine the Defense Department, and also the President in Republican administrations. Apologizing for the United States and condemning Israel periodically are just bonuses to please the global left.

Rodan! how dare you disparage Warren Buffett as an example of hypocrisy. He only owes $1.2 Billion in back taxes and the IRS’ case against him has only seen him lose twice at the appellate level, (once with the three judge panel, and again with the vote of the full court.) He still has his Supreme Court appeal out there, having not been turned down yet.

Did you read Ted Cruz’s public statement on this subject? This Amnesty crap is like asking if you want to play Russian Roulette with a fully loaded Colt Model 1911. There is only one acceptable answer, “Hell NO” anything else is signaling that you are willing to discuss terms of surrender. If you are willing to discuss terms of surrender, then you are part of the problem and not part of the solution.

The United States does not have an illegal immigration problem, everyone needs to get that through their damned thick skulls. What we have is a Law Enforcement Problem. What we need to do is arrest and prosecute anyone who is in any way shape or form advocating that our laws be ignored or broken.

I can tell you that the traditional Texas issue on the GOP side of the equation has been cheap labor for construction.

Dorian, I think Ted Cruz said he would look at and consider the “gang of 8″ proposal. He has made statements in the past that align with your sentiments (though in weaker terms).

On a national level for the GOP this really amounts to pandering for the Hispanic vote. My approach (like that matters) would be to say to Hispanic Americans that the idea that they legally immigrated here was not to duplicate the country they left.

Huge problems with this approach are:

    1) Some of the “legal” immigrants were “amnestied” in before (some under Reagan).
    2) A lot of legal immigrants have illegal relatives here (I know, aiding and abetting).

Still as with most things, if they enforced the laws they have in the first place they wouldn’t have the even bigger problems now.

The Left’s War on Cats continues:

Cats are one of the top threats to US wildlife, killing billions of animals each year, a study suggests.

The authors estimate they are responsible for the deaths of between 1.4 and 3.7 billion birds and 6.9-20.7 billion mammals annually.

Writing in Nature Communications, the scientists said stray and feral cats were the worst offenders.

However, they added that pet cats also played a role and that owners should do more to reduce their impact.

The authors concluded that more animals are dying at the claws of cats in the United States than in road accidents, collisions with buildings or poisonings.

It is called the Circle of Life, idiots. Predators eat prey. It has nothing to do with good or evil, it simply is. For a group of people that worship science as a god, the Left seems particularly anti-science when it comes to the things that make them squeamish…

I remember that. The answer to global warming is, of course, to get rid of the humans. Because the Climate never changed before humans came along…

    The Stout Hemp Rope Party!

The Stout Hemp Rope Party was originally a tongue in cheek response to something you said, but as events unfold around us I’m really starting to wonder if it isn’t America’s last chance at remaining a Constitutional Republic.

    @ doriangrey:

One thing I can not stand about Hot AIr. I hate how they are calling for us to help al-Qaeda in Syria. I actually laughed that they attacked Obama for the Libya war’s blow back in Mali. yet in 2011 They criticized Obama for not doing enough to help al-Qaeda. I like the commentators there like and few, but I have no respect for Allah Pundit, Ed and the rest of the clowns.

The illegal issue is a way fro Democrats to scare Hispanics into voting for them and for Republicans to whip up their base. It’s a win win for both.

Why solve it when it’s good politics?

Here are some sad, sad, and very dangerous info on Calif.

    http://www.streetgangs.com/hispanic/compton

That is backed up 100% and more by a old vn buddy who is DEA and assigned to a tac group under the Gov. of Calif..

Their job is to find and cuff drug gang / gang shooters who are wanted in shootings and or bond jumpers who are on the lam.

He says these Mexican drug cartel enforces have our best tech stuff that the milatary has had to hand over to the Iraq and Afgan. defence forces, but those islamic tools are stealing it and selling it to the highest bidder which is most often the Mexican Drug Cartels as they have the most cash flow.

So when they go after them they get “pinned” seen, located by our on stuff used by the other side.

He is based in L.S., 67 yers old now, I do not know how he does it.

A real deal defender of the U.S..

Confidence among U.S. consumers declined more than forecast in January, reaching the lowest level in more than a year as higher payroll taxes took a bigger bite out of Americans’ paychecks.

The Conference Board’s index decreased to 58.6, the weakest since November 2011, from a revised 66.7 in December, figures from the New York-based private research group showed today. The January reading was lower than the most pessimistic forecast in a Bloomberg survey, which had a median estimate of 64.
