News has been up for a while here, ms tfk heard it first on her car radio called me, it has been on TV several times.
Very sad/bad, Chris Kyle the top sniper of Iraq war (navy seal) who was born in Dallas, lived now out in west Texas , Erath County where he ran his training school/ gun range.
Some nut seems to have been after someone else and Chris tried to stop it and he was shot close range by the guy. The guy took Chris’s F-150 truck escaped to Dallas area, Lancaster, (gang town on the south side of Dallas County) where he was cuffed by the Lancaster cops.
That is what is up now in the other room where ms tfk has the local news on.
It should be hitting all the news wires and blogs soon.
Not a good week here in Texas.
Two good guys.
Mark Hasse the DA from Kaufman County and now Chris Kyle.
Cops say the guy who shot Kyle an another vet is Eddie Ray Routh 25 years old, he is in the Lancaster jail.
Kyle was working with vets who were haveing trouble after being in the gun fights with the islamic death cult culls.
Not good at all this.
Our leaders have let U.S. all down.
Honor to Chris Kyle.
@ taxfreekiller:
Just saw that. Sad deal. The Mark Hasse killing was probably a cartel or Aryan Nation hit. They gotta find those bastards.

Routh seems to have been Marine with trouble, had a DWI in Johnson County south of DFW not long ago, Kyle and the other guy were trying to get the guys head screwed back on.

the hunt for Pablo…
down in Columbia, it took a concerted effort of the Columbian national police, the CIA and the DEA to find and kill Pablo Escobar…heavily armed and funded mercs killed scores of Pablos henchmen…no arrest or trial, just instant death…they killed anybody even remotely connected to Pablo, stripped away his security, seized his family, boxed him in, found him and shot him to pieces…it took a bunch of money, nerves of steel and a lot of resolve but they did it
Looks like if the house he may have been at in Lancaster possible his parents. There from 1988 to now. Very low value house.
ms tfk contacts in Erath County tell her by phone that Routh was possible a recon Marine and or some other with training post basic ect.

I spent my HS years at a military school. Our freshman year, our ‘LD1′ class (Leadership Development) class had a kind of anti-drug movie called ‘The Perfect Drug’. IIRC, the drug wasn’t addictive, and solved all your problems. Depressed? Pop a pill. Can’t sleep? Pop a pill. Family member died? Pop two pills.
Wish I could find it online.

Sunday, and time for confession… I called “bullshit” on that photo released yesterday of Obama shooting the shotgun, because I had never heard of or seen compensator ports on an OU shotgun (the second smoke seen aft of the muzzle in the picture.) I have been rather sternly corrected by somebody who owns the same gun. I personally don’t see the point, but what the hell do I know about that type of gun? My bad…
@ Mike C.:
He lies about everything.
Let everyone think it’s real, even if it’s not.
Without an unnecessarily rabid reaction from the Right, this “photo” is a net minus for Team Soetoro.
Will it change anybody’s mind?
With any luck, it will outrage the banners. Although THEIR side seems smart enough to at least play along with the administration’s tactics and not overreact.
Good Mornin All…make it a great day!
@ mawskrat:
You as well!
Just curious, does anyone else here share my belief that this “photo” has TRAP written all over it?
With big, fat, red meat bait?
I seem to be in the minority at some other sites.
@ Bumr50:
“Trap” pun only slightly intended.
For the record Chris Wallace is an ass!
@ Tanker:
Uh-oh.
What happened?
FNS doesn’t come on here for 1/2 an hour…
Mike C. wrote:
I’ve fired those -- my BIL has quite a gun collection -- I’d forgotten what it’s called so I got in touch -- it’s called a ‘prted barrel’ and it releases some energy to reduce recoil, etc.
However, I also call bullshit. I’ve done some skeet shooting -- the clay goes UP and you have to track it fast. It’s incredibly difficult -- I think my first time out I hit 2 out of about 20. And that was pure luck. Hubby looked at it and said it might be trap shooting where the clay goes to the left or right but you still have to track. Obama is stationary -- he ain’t movin’. Also, WHO THE HELL PUTS THEIR FACE ON THE GUN?? Nobody, at least not after they’ve made that mistake the first time.

Just watch his segment with Wayne Lapierre. Just another idiot mindset on his part.
@ eaglesoars:
his form is as bad on the trap range as it is on the golf course.
hmmm…two decidedly non-’urban’ sports…
@ coldwarrior:
I’ll bet you could get him with a game of three card monte.
@ eaglesoars:
Oh, I know what a ported barrel is, and both reasons why it is done. And I’ve seen a lot of them, on rifles, handguns, and even single-barrel shotguns. I just had no idea they did that to double-barrel shotguns/pro-grade skeet guns. Live and learn…
@ rain of lead:
we’re gonna run open threads for the national holiday today.
i just wish they did the superbowl on saturday instead.
Bumr50 wrote:
i’d love to get him into a $20 nassau. he’d probably cheat tho.
@ coldwarrior:
That ain’t form Babe, I THINK it’s photoshopped -- I don’t think the weapon was actually fired because his face is still resting on the weapon -- and the buttplate is a little high up on his shoulder. He’s tall, but he’s not big in the sense of bulk -- you want that weapon steady -- nothing in that photo shows his body absorbing any shock, let alone tracking a moving target
eaglesoars wrote:
Actually trap uses one thrower which is in front of you that rows the clay mainly away from you, where skeet uses up to six throwers coming from different directions with more than one clay at a time depending on how it’s programed!
Tanker wrote:
Yeah, I know. The only reason I managed to hit 2 is because I accidently -- believe me -- hit one -- and it crashed into another. My BIL -- who had set the thrower -- was in hysterics.
It was a lot of fun and I thought of really pursing it -- and then I looked at what it costs (I was BIL’s guest and he’s got money) HOLY CRAP BATMAN!!
nevermind.
@ eaglesoars:
i have no problem believing he actually shot the gun. i do laugh heartily at his failed attempts to be a ‘white guy’.
his shooting form is terrible, his golf form is atrocious.

@ coldwarrior:
I think that this is a perfect opportunity to delineate the difference between Second Amendment protections and hunting/sport shooting.
Focusing on the image itself is dangerous folly.
It doesn’t matter whether or not it’s real.
Soetoro lies 100% of the time.
Even when he tells the truth, it’s purely coincidental that the truth coincides with furthering this administration’s agenda.
Questioning it’s veracity will only provide the complicit media with plenty of material to paint “the Right” as being a bunch of lunatics.
You don’t have to like it, but to use an already overused cliche, “it is what it is.”

Not the one you’re looking for, but this is a nice one, too.
Meanwhile, I just joined the Virginia Shooting Sports Assoc. last week, which is the official state affiliate of the NRA. But it is also a shooting organization recognized by the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program.) And you know what that means…
And the ‘Reagan on a horse vs Obama on a bike‘ picture.
