Well, yinz have noticed that I have been  posting these guys for the last 2 years or so.

They might win some Grammies. FINALLY.

I invite our members at Blogmocracy to check out their vids.

May I suggest one?

Blogmocracy, this is good honest music about love and how good it feels to be in love.

me and mrs coldwarior love these guys.

check them out.

This was Nothreat2U’s favorite song. I hear it and, well….I hear her singing it on at her last bbq here .  I close my eyes,  I can smell the smoke, smell the coals, hear the music, feel the humidity, see the river….hear her voice singing it!

When I sold mine last summer, the guy paid cash and I don’t remember his name. Anyhoo, here in Texas all of the toll roads and turnpikes are automated and license plates are digitally read when a car goes through the toll plaza. I got a bill from TxTag for $3.68 for a stretch of toll road that I was nowhere near on the given date. The sumbitch I sold to never registered the car. I wonder if that was him that you saw.

I love it. No more waiting in line while grandpa tries to find that last 2 dimes. Here’s how it works. You buy a sticker/transponder that you put on your front windshield and you set up your account with a credit card. Initial amount is $20. They just deduct each time you drive through and then tag your card when that $20 is up. If you don’t have a sticker/transponder, they just send you a bill in the mail for the toll plus 15%. Works great and it’s deductible.

I suppose that’s possible, but Texas is a red state and we don’t do that kind of crap. Also, the newest toll road is 130 which runs just east of Austin between Georgetown and Seguin. Fastest posted highway in the U.S. of A. If I get a speeding ticket, I probably deserve it. They’ll spot ya 5 MPH.

  95. Guggi
    95 | February 7, 2013 6:28 am

    Dedicated to Rodan :-)

    The GOP and the City

Conservative policies have greatly benefited urbanites. Why won’t Republicans seek their votes?

After the presidential election in November, New York Times exit polls found that Republican candidate Mitt Romney had received only 29 percent of the big-city vote to President Obama’s 69 percent. That gap prompted Paul Ryan, Romney’s running mate, to conclude that it was “the turnout especially in urban areas” that “gave President Obama the big margin to win this race.” Ryan was right: the GOP has an urban problem. And it’s partly a self-created one. The party, nationally and even locally, has focused on winning suburban and rural votes and has stopped reaching out to city dwellers.

  96. 96 | February 7, 2013 7:12 am

    @ Guggi:

Alas, perception is reality to a great deal of American voters and the prevailing perception will hold firm until actual reality takes massive chunks of flesh from their backsides… and that scenario seems week on its way. Even then, we can’t change hearts and minds if we cede any ground to the Democrats; allies can come from the most unlikely places. I certainly hope the GOP is doing some serious soul searching during the off-season, not only in terms of overall message, but in terms of messenger, as well.

  97. Guggi
    97 | February 7, 2013 8:20 am

    @ MacDuff:

    quote of the day :-)

The truly and deliberately evil men are a very small minority; it is the appeaser who unleashes them on mankind; it is the appeaser’s intellectual abdication that invites them to take over. When a culture’s dominant trend is geared to irrationality, the thugs win over the appeasers. When intellectual leaders fail to foster the best in the mixed, unformed, vacillating character of people at large, the thugs are sure to bring out the worst. When the ablest men turn into cowards, the average men turn into brutes.

    Ayan Rand
