Karl Rove is now walking back his “war against the tea party” and is spinning his former statements and actions faster than an Iranian centrifuge.

“My new group isn’t out to get the tea party, I swear“

I agree Tod Aiken’s “legitimate rape” comment should have disqualified him and he should have immediately stepped down (there were actually better tea-party candidates in the primaries, Aiken was more of an establishment candidate) — but once we were stuck with him, we needed to support him.

Murdock’s statement that when a woman becomes pregnant because of a rape the baby born is just as much a child of God as you or I, is a statement of fundamental religious truth — and conservatives everywhere should have risen to his defense.

When Democrats make really stupid statements what do they do? They circle the wagons.

When Republicans make stupid statements, or something that can be twisted out of context, what do we do? We form a circular firing squad.

That’s the difference between winners a losers — and that’s one of the reasons Democrats win.

Our standards are a bit higher. Besides any dumb mother ****** (Mourdock) who fell into the rape/abortion trap deserves to lose.
