Can’t see the video from work but… it amazes me that they hate Israel but most of these stupid college kids would be either killed or raped in the muslim countries surrounding her. They would have no freedom at all. The ignorance and stupidity is strong on campus.
Stop funding Universities with public money.
@ MikeA:
Our education system teaches that Islam is good. When I was in HS, they taught us the Ottomans were liberating Europe and that the Spanish/Italian victory at Lepanto was a tragedy.
It does not help that both parties do the bidding of Islamic interests.
@ Rodan:
I don’t remember being taught almost anything about islam in school and I went to NYC public schools also. At most they may have talked about the “golden age” of islam but went quickly by it.

Hey Rodan did you see this?
The RNC has announced plans to focus on digital strategy and hire a chief technology officer by May 1, preferably one that “is maybe able to come in and change the way that we think,” according to RNC spokeswoman Kirsten Kukowski.

Maybe if they got rid of some of the unnecessary crap, they could invest money in teaching actual history, instead:

I am not shock. Stossel had a special where he exposed the wastes.
Just a point from a Canadian blogger. You go from the politically correct University straight to the same stifling workplace.
“Well in Canada the truth was the first casualty of ‘Human Right’ quasi judicial fiat or political correctness on steroids, and now it is state ‘official’ in the ultimate ruling class, the elected legislature…er make that the bucked tooth politically ‘party’ appointed activists at the highest level of the judiciary.
For a second I thought the legislature still mattered (or cared) about the morality of the land, the innocence of the child, the protection of the family, those silly yesterday values.
In the semi- captive arena of the ‘workplace’, political correctness made it’s greatest inroads with beauts like the modern definition of harassment where the victim only has to feel emotionally harmed regardless of the actual intent, or in some cases even the knowledge, of the accused for a charge to be held up, and where employment places, themselves, can be held into account for individual worker ‘transgressions’ and must provide for sensitivity training for every new politically correct work place value…er law.
{{Don’t know about you, but I think most grown-ups, except lonely union arse-kissers with out a life, go to the workplace for one reason, to earn money to feed their families and the various governments that take their money at politician’s pleasure. We don’t really care about other’s personal issues, (even when we’re pretending) or personal problems they should be seeking religions of hope about, or seeing equally spirited professionals about, who delve on the future not the past.”
Colleges are hotbeds of antisemitism because they are hotbeds of Leftism. The Left has always been antisemitic.
Karl Marx, though born Jewish, was an antisemite. The Jews who followed Marxism were also antisemites; their objective was to eliminate “Jews” by creating a “workers’ world” where there were no ethnic differences. The “good” aspect of this was that they were seeking by this means to eliminate antisemitism, under which they had suffered—but the way they sought to do this was by eliminating ethnic and national differences. Thus, Jews who sought to retain their ethnic identity and/or to remain observant Jews became enemies of the movement—and the ferocity of the Leftist Jews was particularly aroused against them because these “holdouts” were standing in the way of the deracination the Leftists sought for themselves.
Ironically, the founding of Israel was also done for this purpose. Herzl believed that if the Jews again became a separate nation with their own territory, they would become “a nation like any other,” and antisemitism would disappear. The Jews of the pioneer generations (1880-1940s) that built the foundations for the State of Israel were largely Leftists, and largely secularists who despised the religious “ghetto Jews” of Europe. The more radical kibbutzim raised children communally and were overtly anti-religious. Of course, the “secularism” of 100 years ago was, in many cases, far more religious than the tepid “religious observance” of today—though not always. A hundred years ago, it was not uncommon for radical Jews to hold pork banquets on Yom Kippur, the holiest fast day of the Jewish religious calendar. These kinds of extreme gestures had some meaning when they were rebellions against a much-more-pervasive religious observance in the population at large.
In the end, the Zionist dream has been a failure—not as far as the realization of a state was concerned, but as far as its dream of being able to eliminate antisemitism. Israel has merely become “the Jew of the nations”; hatred directed against it is merely antisemitism writ large on a national/international rather than a personal scale.
Getting back to the academy, there are several reasons for the ingrained antisemitism and anti-Zionism there, over and above the antisemitism which is ingrained in the Left from the start. The main reason is the obsession with race that pervades the Left, and the Leftist academy. The separatist/Afrocentrist/Islamist elements of the Civil Rights Movement made common cause with the PLO from the time it was founded in 1964—three years before the Israeli victory of the Six-Day War, before there was any Israeli “occupation” of Gaza, the West Bank, or the Golan Heights. The antisemitism of the Civil Rights Movement became so pronounced that Martin Luther King, even as he was being sidelined by these radical elements, spoke out against it.
The Civil Rights Movement radicals regarded Israel as a “colonialist state” of the sort Franz Fanon inveighed against, and regarded themselves as brethren of the PLO as fellow-victims of “colonialism.” This attitude pervades the black community to this day, and is surely held by Barack Obama. The irony here is that Israel is the least “colonial” of the states in the Middle East, as it came into being in direct opposition to the will and efforts of the colonialist, imperialist Great Britain—while Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, among others, were all states established by the Western imperialist powers in the wake of the carving up of the Ottoman Empire following WWI.

With most of the foghorns, it may be ignorance—but the lie that “the constitution/Founders regarded Negroes as 3/5ths human” is an intentional one, calculated to gin up hatred among the ignorant for the Constitution and the Founders.
The 3/5ths rule had nothing to do with “humanity”; it was a method of counting for purposes of apportionment/representation, to ensure that the slave states would not completely control the legislature through superior population numbers. And it does not mention race; it was a determination based on legal status. There were white slaves/indentured servants (not many by the time the US became independent, but they existed); there were black slaveowners (again, not many—but they existed).
The misrepresentation of the 3/5ths rule is a foundation stone of the Left’s efforts to keep racial conflict and the concept of “white guilt” alive in this country long after its sell-by date, and to build support for the destruction of the Constitution. It must be fought and countered when and where ever it rears its ugly head.

You will have to learn how to read to get Obamacare:
WASHINGTON (AP) — Applying for benefits under President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul could be as daunting as doing your taxes.
The government’s draft application runs 15 pages for a three-person family. An outline of the online version has 21 steps, some with additional questions.
Seven months before the Oct. 1 start of enrollment season for millions of uninsured Americans, the idea that getting health insurance could be as easy as shopping online at Amazon or Travelocity is starting to look like wishful thinking.
At least three major federal agencies, including the IRS, will scrutinize your application. Checking your identity, income and citizenship is supposed to happen in real time, if you apply online.
That’s just the first part of the process, which lets you know if you qualify for financial help. The government asks to see what you’re making because Obama’s Affordable Care Act is means-tested, with lower-income people getting the most generous help to pay premiums.
Once you’re finished with the money part, actually picking a health plan will require additional steps, plus a basic understanding of insurance jargon.
And it’s a mandate, not a suggestion. The law says virtually all Americans must carry health insurance starting next year, although most will just keep the coverage they now have through their jobs, Medicare or Medicaid.
Some are concerned that a lot of uninsured people will be overwhelmed and simply give up.
“This lengthy draft application will take a considerable amount of time to fill out and will be difficult for many people to be able to complete,” said Ron Pollack, executive director of Families USA, an advocacy group supporting the health care law. “It does not get you to the selection of a plan.”
“When you combine those two processes, it is enormously time consuming and complex,” added Pollack. He’s calling for the government to simplify the form and, more important, for an army of counselors to help uninsured people navigate the new system. It’s unclear who would pay for these navigators.
Drafts of the paper application and a 60-page description of the online version were quietly posted online by the Health and Human Services Department, seeking feedback from industry and consumer groups. Those materials, along with a recent HHS presentation to insurers, run counter to the vision of simplicity promoted by administration officials.

Liberal Bnai Brith of Canada issues Passover alert:
Security Alert: Jewish Community urged to stay vigilant as Passover approaches
B’nai Brith Canada is urging the Jewish community to be vigilant as the holiday of Passover (Pesach) approaches. The Jewish human rights organization has cited a report by the Counter Terrorism Bureau in Israel that raises alert levels for many “hotspots” around the globe. Discussions with police and security officials here in Canada indicate there has been no specific threat against Canadian interests; nonetheless, given that the threat appears to be directed not only towards Israelis but all Jews, a state of high alert is in order. In addition, security experts have warned that as tensions and divisions intensify in countries that are vehemently anti-Israel, any threats of this nature should be considered credible.
To ensure effective security measures are followed, the following precautions are recommended:
•Review emergency protocols with all security personnel that your synagogue or community centre engages.
◦How would the hired security officer respond to a threat?
◦What equipment is there for notifying synagogue leaders or authorities in case of an emergency?
◦What evacuation procedures are in place and what role do the security officers play?
◦Which volunteers have been tasked with working alongside security?
•Keep an eye out for anything unusual and report any suspicious activity to the local police and to B’nai Brith’s Anti-Hate Hotline, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-892-2264.
•Provided your emergency numbers to B’nai Brith Canada so that you are part of the Alert system
•If planning a community Seder, screen attendees and ask for pre-registration.
•Be aware of any bags or items left unattended at your school, synagogue or any other public place.
•Watch for unusual patterns of activity around your facility, including photo or video surveillance.
•Ensure that all workers seeking access to your premises have been appropriately verified.

Given that the first X-Men film had a Jewish Holocaust survivor as the villain, that he was fighting the God-figure “Dr. Xavier” and the Jesus-figure of Wolverine, and that the denouement of the film took place when the “good guys” were trying to force what was, in effect, a re-enactment of the Binding of Isaac at the Statue of Liberty that if successful would have “converted” people into mutants, I’d say that they’ve joined in the fun some time ago.
@ buzzsawmonkey:
The X-Men comic books always had the Holocaust survivor as the villian. His experience made him hate humanity. It has NOTHINg to do with anti-semitism.
You are reading too much into X-Men seriously.
I do not complain when a Hispanic or Italian is the villian in a movie.
Rodan wrote:
My concern is not for the villain being a Jewish Holocaust surviver as such. There are real-life Jewish survivors of the Holocaust who are villains; George Soros springs to mind.
My concern is with that villain re-enacting a human-sacrifice version of the Binding of Isaac in the film (a blood libel), at the Statue of Liberty, and the film setting himself up in opposition to the God-figure Dr. Xaviar (“Xavier” = “Savior”), who runs a school for children (“Suffer little children to come unto Me”) and the Jesus-figure Wolverine, with his Jesus-like hair, Jesus-like revival/restorative powers, trinitarian stigmata, etc.
The roots of this kind of fiction go deep into the antisemitic and racist stereotypes of the early 20th century; they are largely derived from blatantly racist writings of people like Sax Rohmer, the creator of super-villain Fu Manchu. Rohmer was a blatant racist—Fu Manchu was the embodiment of “the Yellow Peril” and was specifically at war with whites/the West—who also wrote stories slamming blacks and Jews. Edgar Wallace was another of these racist/antisemitic writers, as was E. Phillips Oppenheim, and, for that matter, Robert E. Howard, creator of Conan (read his short story “In the Valley of the Worm”).
The works of these writers created the templates for fantasy/supervillain fiction, and their racism lingers on even today. Some years ago, I was gathering material to show how this influence lingered in the He-Man cartoon series, where the languid prince transforms into blonde superman He-Man bearing an Iron Cross on his chest, and one of He-Man’s enemies is the hunchbacked, bearded, hook-nosed Beast Man, who was a Jew-caricature taken right out of the Middle Ages.
No, I don’t think I’m reading too much into this material; the best I can say is that since many publishers and producers are semi-literate at best, they may well be unaware of the roots of what they are purveying and how these toxic memes continue to linger on.
@ buzzsawmonkey:
We are just going to have to diosagree on this. I have read X-Men since I was a kid and watched the movies. There is nothing related to Judaism or Christinaity in it. If that is how you interpet things, I do not know what to tell you.
As for the your other observations, that’s really a strecth.
Rodan wrote:
Well, I guess disagree it will have to be.
I’ve read a great deal of early-20th-century pulp fiction: not only Rohmer (several Fu Manchu books, Tales of Limehouse, and Grey Face), who is anti-black, anti-Asian, and antisemitic, but Oppenheim (The Treasure House of Martin Hews is the most blatantly antisemitic of his I have found), HP Lovecraft (whose stories have plenty of casual references to people of “debased race” and “mongrel blood”), as well as the Howard story I mentioned above (Lovecraft was a by-mail mentor to Howard), and stuff by Edgar Wallace (whom Orwell, in one of his essays, condemns for his blatant power-worship).
These people (and some others) created the genres of pulp fiction and master-villians, with or without the addition of magic, the supernatural, etc.—and the templates they created were transferred over to comic books and cartoons when those genres took off in the 1930s and after. The templates were full of blatant bigotry as a matter of course—though they have since become somewhat watered down.
If these cues are not obvious nowadays—just as many people today miss the Prohibition jokes that were rife in early-Thirties films, because they are no longer immediate (not to mention some of the more subtle sexual innuendoes)—that’s probably a good thing. But it doesn’t mean the roots aren’t there, and that they cannot be seen.
