Congressman: Benghazi Survivors Forced to Sign Non-Disclosure Agreements

“On Tuesday I raised the question of why none of the Benghazi survivors, whether State Department, CIA, or private security contract employees have testified publicly before Congress,” said Wolf.

“According to trusted sources that have contacted my office, many if not all of the survivors of the Benghazi attacks along with others at the Department of Defense, the CIA have been asked or directed to sign additional non-disclosure agreements about their involvement in the Benghazi attacks. Some of these new NDAs, as they call them, I have been told were signed as recently as this summer.”

This makes me sick.

Play nice!

There is no question that there is a cover-up of massive pproportions goin gon here. The media is incurious about it, just as they, with the notable exception of Shyrell Attkisson, are incurious about the Fast and Furious gun-running. What is Obama hiding? God alone knows, but it has to be big. Everyone already knows thathis Administration cut these people off from help and abandoned them to die. Whatever he is hiding is bigger than that. I don’t really expect the Republicans to dig in and find out what it is, though. The Republicans are a lap-dog opposition. Most of them don’t want to make waves. They have their sinecure, and maintaining that is all they really care about.

I wasn’t aware than an NDA is valid in the face of a Congressional investigation.

    @ randian:

You wouldn’t think it would be, would you? There i sno question about these people taking the Fifth, either. None of them are accused ofcriminal wrongdoing. If the Republican don’t force these people to testyify, it is because the Republicans don’t really want the truth out there either. Which is basically what we have seen out of Issa on Fast and Furious, so it wouldn’t entirely surprise me hre.

    @ randian:

It’s an odd-thing to ask a material witness in a crime to sign. For instance, members of the White House household staff are asked to sign NDA’s so that they don’t quit and write books, go on TV, etc., but this? I’m sure it’s all couched in the idea of National Security but they’ll be having a hard time proving that one.
