BS Apology

I do not believe one word of the apology emanating from the mouth of Anti-American, Anti-Semitic film director Oliver Stone:

‘In trying to make a broader historical point about the range of atrocities the Germans committed against many people, I made a clumsy association about the Holocaust, for which I am sorry and I regret.
‘Jews obviously do not control media or any other industry.
‘The fact that the Holocaust is still a very important, vivid and current matter today is, in fact, a great credit to the very hard work of a broad coalition of people committed to the remembrance of this atrocity – and it was an atrocity.’

And here’s the reason why I do not believe him:

Criminal Illegal aliens fleeing Arizona

This almost breaks my heart…But not quite! :) I think I’ll survive! Hasta la vista, pendejos!

And of course, the libturd media attempts to make us feel sorry for them. Boo-freakin’-hoo. GO HOME, illegals!!!

Where I live in Summit County, Colorado, the illegals have bankrupted all of our social services (they reproduce like cockroaches, and we pay for their babies) and schools, which are forced to have numerous “English as A Second Language” courses.

Those dollars take away money that should be spent teaching American kids. Test scores here are in the crapper, and it’s because of illegal criminal aliens.

Grab a towel. You’ll need it. These foreigners are leaving…Try not to cry….

Migrants sell up, flee Arizona ahead of crackdown

* Tough state immigration crackdown starts on Thursday

* Boom in yard sales as migrants sell off belongings

* Legal residents, US-born children join scramble to leave

By Tim Gaynor

PHOENIX, July 25 (Reuters) – Nicaraguan mother Lorena Aguilar hawks a television set and a few clothes on the baking sidewalk outside her west Phoenix apartment block.

A few paces up the street, her undocumented Mexican neighbor Wendi Villasenor touts a kitchen table, some chairs and a few dishes as her family scrambles to get out of Arizona ahead of a looming crackdown on illegal immigrants.

“Everyone is selling up the little they have and leaving,” said Villasenor, 31, who is headed for Pennsylvania. “We have no alternative. They have us cornered.”

The two women are among scores of illegal immigrant families across Phoenix hauling the contents of their homes into the yard this weekend as they rush to sell up and get out before the state law takes effect on Thursday.

The law, the toughest imposed by any U.S. state to curb illegal immigration, seeks to drive more than 400,000 undocumented day laborers, landscapers, house cleaners, chambermaids and other workers out of Arizona, which borders Mexico.

It makes being an illegal immigrant a state crime and requires state and local police, during lawful contact, to investigate the status of anyone they reasonably suspect of being an illegal immigrant.

The U.S. government estimates 100,000 unauthorized migrants left Arizona after the state passed an employer sanctions law three years ago requiring companies to verify workers’ status using a federal computer system. There are no figures for the number who have left since the new law passed in April.

Some are heading back to Mexico or to neighboring states. Others are staying put and taking their chances.

A Democrat Blasphemes

by snork ( 65 Comments › )
Filed under Democratic Party, Political Correctness, Racism at July 26th, 2010 - 8:30 am

This is completely unexpected, and rather ballsy. Senator James Webb of Virginia, a Democrat, has committed the ultimate blasphemy. If a Republican had said these exact same words, we’d hear a million strong chorus all yelling in unison “RACIST!!!”.  This is going to be rather difficult for the racial interest section of the DNC to spin, so I strongly suspect that they’ll just ignore it and hope it goes away.

Forty years ago, as the United States experienced the civil rights movement, the supposed monolith of White Anglo-Saxon Protestant dominance served as the whipping post for almost every debate about power and status in America.

Woah! Sacred cow #1 slaughtered! This donkey is saying that whites aren’t monolithic.

After a full generation of such debate, WASP elites have fallen by the wayside and a plethora of government-enforced diversity policies have marginalized many white workers. The time has come to cease the false arguments and allow every American the benefit of a fair chance at the future.

Woah! Sacred cow #2 slaughtered! Downscale whites are getting the shaft from the government. No love from Chuckles for you!

Those who came to this country in recent decades from Asia, Latin America and Africa did not suffer discrimination from our government, and in fact have frequently been the beneficiaries of special government programs. The same cannot be said of many hard-working white Americans, including those whose roots in America go back more than 200 years.

Woah! Sacred cow #3 slaughtered! the government is favoring nonwhite immigrants at the expense of downscale whites. No love from Kos for you!

Contrary to assumptions in the law, white America is hardly a monolith. And the journey of white American cultures is so diverse (yes) that one strains to find the logic that could lump them together for the purpose of public policy.

Woah! Sacred cow #4 slaughtered! All whites aren’t part of the “power structure”. No love from the NAACP for you!

The Civil War devastated the South, in human and economic terms. And from post-Civil War Reconstruction to the beginning of World War II, the region was a ravaged place, affecting black and white alike.

Woah! Sacred cow #5 slaughtered! Thou shalt not say anything in sympathy with Dixie. No love from the MSM for you!

Nondiscrimination laws should be applied equally among all citizens, including those who happen to be white. The need for inclusiveness in our society is undeniable and irreversible, both in our markets and in our communities. Our government should be in the business of enabling opportunity for all, not in picking winners. It can do so by ensuring that artificial distinctions such as race do not determine outcomes.

Oh, shit. Now you dunnit. Expect an indictment from Reichchancellor Holder for saying that which shall not be said.

Dimocrat Governors Voice Grave Concerns on Immigration

by Bob in Breckenridge ( 153 Comments › )
Filed under Democratic Party, Political Correctness, Progressives, illegals at July 12th, 2010 - 11:30 am

I was watching a show on TruTV yesterday called “Inside the Border War”. It showed what it was like to be a Border Patrol Agent in Arizona, Texas, and California.

Not only were they catching illegal criminal aliens attempting to cross the border who had just been returned to Mexico FIVE HOURS AGO, but they were catching people with serious criminal records either here in the U.S., or where they came from- Murderers, child molesters, drug smugglers, gang members, etc.

In Nogales, AZ. alone, they said they apprehend about 40 people with serious criminal records per eight hour shift. Do the math! 160 per day times 365 days equals over 58,000 per year! And that’s just in Nogales!

Then there’s the environmental damage they do- 6000 tons of trash per year just in Arizona alone! And of course, the phony “environmentalists” don’t give a damn. Watch this four minute video about how they’re trashing Arizona-

BOSTON — In a private meeting with White House officials this weekend, Democratic governors voiced deep anxiety about the Obama administration’s suit against Arizona’s new immigration law, worrying that it could cost a vulnerable Democratic Party in the fall elections.

While the weak economy dominated the official agenda at the summer meeting here of the National Governors Association, concern over immigration policy pervaded the closed-door session between Democratic governors and White House officials and simmered throughout the three-day event.

At the Democrats’ meeting on Saturday, some governors bemoaned the timing of the Justice Department lawsuit, according to two governors who spoke anonymously because the discussion was private.

“Universally the governors are saying, ‘We’ve got to talk about jobs,’ ” Gov. Phil Bredesen of Tennessee, a Democrat, said in an interview. “And all of a sudden we have immigration going on.”

He added, “It is such a toxic subject, such an important time for Democrats.”

The administration seemed to be taking a carrot-and-stick approach on Sunday. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, in town to give the governors a classified national security briefing, met one-on-one with Jan Brewer, the Republican who succeeded her as governor of Arizona and ardently supports the immigration law.

About the same time as that meeting, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said on a taped Sunday talk show that the Justice Department could bring yet another lawsuit against Arizona if there is evidence that the immigration law leads to racial profiling.

Ms. Brewer said she and Ms. Napolitano did not discuss the current lawsuit. Instead, in a conversation she described as cordial, they discussed Arizona’s request for more National Guard troops along the border with Mexico, as well as other resources.

The Democrats’ meeting provided a window on tensions between the White House and states over the suit, which the Justice Department filed last week in federal court in Phoenix. Nineteen Democratic governors are either leaving office or seeking re-election this year, and Republicans see those seats as crucial to swaying the 2012 presidential race.

Pat Condell- No mosque at Ground Zero; Harry Potter and Sharia law

by Bob in Breckenridge ( 97 Comments › )
Filed under Al Qaeda, British Islamic Jihadists, Dhimmitude, Islam, Islamic Invasion, Islamic Supremacism, Islamic Terrorism, Islamists, Jihad, Leftist-Islamic Alliance, Multiculturalism, Political Correctness, Sharia (Islamic Law), Terrorism at July 10th, 2010 - 7:00 pm

At first, I was going to make this post only about Pat Condell’s youtube video, warning America that the proposed mosque in New York City, just yards away from where these 7th century savages killed 2,605 Americans and others on 9-11 is meant to be a symbol of triumph (which defined means to prove superior) over the civilized world, and NOT a tribute to the victims of these barbarians as they claim.

We know that these savages have no problem lying to the kafir (non-muslims) about what their intentions are, and as a matter of fact their atrocious book of “religious” pornography encourages it, so don’t believe what they claim.

The second part is an op-ed I read in the Washington Times, and as if we really need it, here’s yet another reason why the phony, gutter religion called islam and the civilized world don’t mix well…From the Washington Times-

Harry Potter and Sharia law
Honor killings may not be on the big screen, but a celebrity angle is getting them big coverage

Sometimes, only a celebrity angle can get the public to pay attention to what’s important. The Harry Potter actress who suddenly became subject to Sharia law may be the source of such a moment when the public pays enough attention to create a sea change in national opinion.

On July 2, CNN reported, “The father and brother of a Harry Potter actress will appear in court later this month in Manchester, England, on charges of threatening to kill the young star.” The family is Muslim, and the suspected motives are clear – Afshan Azad, who played Harry’s classmate Padma Patil in the popular movies – was dating a Hindu.

Popular publications including Entertainment Weekly, People and US Weekly are all covering this disturbing but not unprecedented case, bringing a horrifying fact of life in Europe and across the world to the attention of people who don’t immerse themselves in news and politics.

Though the assault on Miss Azad by her father and brother is in the spotlight, such cases are hardly new. Last year in Ohio, teenager Rifqa Bary ran away, claiming her parents threatened to kill her because she had converted to Christianity. The drama received a blip of press coverage, and she remains a ward of the state. Also last year, in Arizona, a Muslim father murdered his daughter by running over her for being too Western.

One of the most horrific and notorious instance of Islamic “honor killing” in recent memory in the United States occurred in Buffalo, N.Y., in February, 2009. The founder of Bridges TV, a television station whose stated purpose was to show a more tolerant and positive view of Muslims and Islam, beheaded his wife. Muzzammil Hassan murdered her in the facilities of the TV station.

Fired for his Catholic beliefs

by Speranza ( 60 Comments › )
Filed under Christianity, Political Correctness at July 10th, 2010 - 11:00 am

Can you imagine this happening to any other group in America? A professor at the University of Illinois has been fired for admitting that he accepts his church’s teachings on homosexuality after some student file a complaint against him. Of course if were a Muslim and admitted that he accepted theKoran’s teachings on everything, nobody would dare say a word. Anti-Catholicism is the  last accepted bigotry in America. What about all the English Literature professors who feel the need to inject their personal politics into their lectures?

The University of Illinois has fired an adjunct professor who taught courses on Catholicism after a student accused the instructor of engaging in hate speech by saying he agrees with the church’s teaching that homosexual sex is immoral.

The professor, Ken Howell of Champaign, said his firing violates his academic freedom. He also lost his job at an on-campus Catholic center.

Howell, who taught Introduction to Catholicism and Modern Catholic Thought, says he was fired at the end of the spring semester after sending an e-mail explaining some Catholic beliefs to his students preparing for an exam.

“Natural Moral Law says that Morality must be a response to REALITY,” he wrote in the e-mail. “In other words, sexual acts are only appropriate for people who are complementary, not the same.”

An unidentified student sent an e-mail to religion department head Robert McKim on May 13, calling Howell’s e-mail “hate speech.” The student claimed to be a friend of the offended student. The writer said in the e-mail that his friend wanted to remain anonymous.

“Teaching a student about the tenets of a religion is one thing,” the student wrote. “Declaring that homosexual acts violate the natural laws of man is another.”

Cary Nelson, president of the American Association of University Professors, said professors should be able to tell students their own views and even argue in favor of them, provided students can disagree without being penalized

Howell said he was teaching his students about the Catholic understanding of natural moral law.

“My responsibility on teaching a class on Catholicism is to teach what the Catholic Church teaches,” Howell said in an interview with The News-Gazette in Champaign. “I have always made it very, very clear to my students they are never required to believe what I’m teaching and they’ll never be judged on that.”

Howell also said he makes clear to his students that he’s Catholic and that he believes the church views that he teaches.

McKim referred questions to university spokeswoman Robin Kaler, who said she couldn’t comment on Howell or his firing because it’s a personnel issue.

According to the university’s Academic Staff Handbook, faculty “are entitled to freedom in the classroom in developing and discussing according to their areas of competence the subjects that they are assigned.”

Hitler-Stalin Pact 2

by Speranza ( 123 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Hamas, Islamists, Liberal Fascism, Political Correctness, Politics, Progressives, Tranzis at July 6th, 2010 - 6:00 pm

We have written before about the alliance between radical leftists and fascists (and nobody is more fascistic than Hamas). The Left is adept at changing words and inventing new ones to mask their totalitarian tendencies. The article mentions “speech codes” that people such as Elena Kagan implemented at Harvard. Stalin may be dead, but Stalinism still lives.

by James Lewis

We are seeing another Left-fascist axis in our time, recapitulating Stalin’s (and worldwide communism’s) embrace of Hitler’s Germany. The Gaza flotilla crisis was set up by the radical Left (Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Jodie Evans and other Obama buds), in collusion with Hamas, which is about as fascist as they get. If you doubt it, watch Hamas TV on the MEMRI website. They are the worst. They teach toddlers about the glories of dying for Allah.  Even Fatah thinks Hamas is a throwback to the Dark Ages.

In the Gaza flotilla, the Turks who yelled out “Khaibar! Khaibar!” as they were trying to kill Israeli soldiers, were members of the Turkish branch of Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood. They yelled out “Khaibar!” because that massacre of Jews was Mohammed’s own Auschwitz. That doesn’t leave any doubt about who they are. Martyrdom is just a means to an end, and that end is “Khaibar.” The media always forget to tell us that part.

Words matter, which is why the Left is always making up new words for themselves, to disguise who they really are. The Left isn’t  Communist any more, they are “progressive” — which leaves the rest of us  back in 1776. “Progressives” always know which way to find “progress,” and it always comes down to stomping on the rest of us. Because if you’re not “progressive” you must be an enemy of  “progress.”

The radical Left  hasn’t changed one smidgen since Stalin. The Left still believes in global totalitarianism. Stalin is dead, but Stalinism is on the march. Listen to the stomping of their boots.

By refusing to even accurately name who the enemy is, this administration (and to a certain extent the Bush administration as well) is showing that it is not really serious about winning the war.  Instead, both administrations do verbal gymnastics in describing our enemies as “a small group of extremists” which is utter nonsense. Islamofascism counts hundreds of millions of sympathizers throughout the world and platitudes such as “Islam is a great religion which a few extremists are trying to hijack” is a falsehood. All the presidential visits to Mosques are not going to win us any friends or make us any safer.

by Charles Krauthammer

The Fort Hood shooter, the Christmas Day bomber, the Times Square attacker. On May 13, the following exchange occurred at a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee:

Rep. Lamar Smith (R.,Texas): Do you feel that these individuals might have been incited to take the actions that they did because of radical Islam?

Attorney General Eric Holder: There are a variety of reasons why I think people have taken these actions. . . .

Smith: Okay, but radical Islam could have been one of the reasons?

Holder: There are a variety of reasons why people—

Smith: But was radical Islam one of them?

Holder: There are a variety of reasons why people do these things. Some of them are potentially religious-based.

Potentially, mind you. This went on until the questioner gave up in exasperation.

A similar question arose last week in U.S. District Court when Faisal Shahzad, the Times Square attacker, pleaded guilty. Explained Shahzad: “One has to understand where I’m coming from. . . . I consider myself a mujahid, a Muslim soldier.”

Well, that is clarifying. As was the self-printed business card of Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the Fort Hood shooter, identifying himself as “SoA”: Soldier of Allah.

[...]

Why is this important? Because the first rule of war is to know your enemy. If you don’t, you wander into intellectual cul-de-sacs and ignore the real causes that might allow you to prevent recurrences.

The Pentagon report on the Fort Hood shooter runs 86 pages with not a single mention of Hasan’s Islamism. It contains such politically correct inanities as “religious fundamentalism alone is not a risk factor.”

Of course it is. Indeed, Islamist fundamentalism is not only a risk factor. It is the risk factor, the common denominator linking all the great terror attacks of this century — from 9/11 to Mumbai, from Fort Hood to Times Square, from London to Madrid to Bali. The attackers were of various national origin, occupation, age, social class, native tongue, and race. The one thing that united them was the jihadist vision in whose name they acted.

[...]

Churchill famously mobilized the English language and sent it into battle. But his greatness lay not just in eloquence but in his appeal to the moral core of a decent people to rise against an ideology the nature of which Churchill never hesitated to define and describe — and to pronounce (“Nahhhhzzzzi”) in an accent dripping with loathing and contempt.

No one is asking Obama or Holder to match Churchill’s rhetoric — just Shahzad’s candor.

The insane ramblings of Dr. Manning: “Trashy Little White Girls”

Filed under Blogwars, Hate Speech, Humor, LGF, Open thread, Political Correctness, Racism at June 28th, 2010 - 10:30 pm

Recent absurd accusations by a certain petulant blogger recently brought up a phrase I hadn’t heard in over thirty years.  Seems there is some confusion about the meaning of  “porch monkey.”

Elderly Porch Monkeys

When I was growing up in semi-rural southern Ohio in the late ’60s and early ’70s, I remember it being used to describe poor kids having to play on the front porch during rainstorms, but a porch monkey was basically anyone passing the time away on a porch. It applied equally to whites as well as blacks, and is only mildly derogatory if at all — some folks even called themselves “porch monkeys” with pride.

So just to confirm my memory of the definition of the term, I searched for images on teh google. There are many more images of white porch monkeys than black. It’s not a racist term at all, just a funny combination of words, regardless of some racists’ attempts to redefine the phrase.

But then I found this video:  Dr. David Manning presents “The Porch Monkey Report.” It gets funnier and more bizarre the longer you watch.

I’m grabbing a couple of cold ones and heading out to the porch. Any of you other porch monkeys here wanna join me for a game of Overnight Open Thread?

The Tacoma News Tribune: “Vandals” tip over, “deface” 9-foot menorah at Olympia Jewish center

by snork ( 90 Comments › )
Filed under Anti-semitism, Judaism, Media, Political Correctness, Terrorism at June 27th, 2010 - 3:30 pm

A couple months ago, I reported on the Tea Party rally in Olympia, WA. A couple of things that I noted were that, as state capitol, the place is heavy with state workers, who lean heavily left. And, the city is also home of Evergreen State College, and Rachel Corey, a.k.a “St. Pancake”.

As an outpost in the wild west, there’s a Chabad House there, that like the one in Mumbai, exists to provide services to Jews, itinerant or otherwise. And like the Chabad House in Mumbai, it was attacked. From the headline in this News Tribune article, you’d think that it was a few frat boys throwing a few rolls of toilet paper on it.

OLYMPIA – Rabbi Cheski Edelman made a disturbing discovery at The Chabad Jewish Discovery Center on Legion Way on Tuesday morning: Someone had knocked over the nearly 9-foot menorah visible from the street and spray-painted the words “Die Jew” at its base.

The article very carefully avoids speculating about motives, limiting themselves to bland statements such as:

Charles Shelan said the vandalism is a “despicable crime,” not only against Rabbi Edelman and his family but the entire Olympia community.

Shelan added that the act is a reminder that “we have to all redouble our efforts to eradicate racism.”

IOW, nothing to see here, move along.

UC Irvine recommends suspension of campus’ Muslim student group

University officials recommend the suspension after members disrupted a speech by the Israeli ambassador earlier this year, heightening a debate about free speech that has roiled the campus.

UPDATING as i get more info…

The decision appears to be the first in recent memory at UC recommending the ban of a student group for something other than hazing or alcohol abuse.

In making the suspension recommendation, Lisa Cornish, UC Irvine’s director of student housing, found that the Muslim Student Union had “planned, orchestrated and coordinated in advance” an effort to disrupt a speech by Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren on Feb. 8 about U.S.-Israeli relations. The recommendation was made in late May but not made public at that time.

Oren was shouted down repeatedly by Muslim students who stood up and delivered statements such as “Michael Oren, propagating murder is not an expression of free speech.” Supporters cheered as the students were escorted away by police, and each time Oren attempted to resume his speech, another student jumped up with another outburst.

OH, and this is just perfect: “Reem Salahi, the students’ attorney, described the suspension recommendation as “excessive” and “draconian.” She said it is not final and that her clients have appealed the decision.”…Salahi said she worried the recommendation could jeopardize Muslim life on campus. Victor Sanchez, president of the systemwide UC Student Assn., said he was outraged. “It’s almost impossible not to interpret this as a means of the university to silence dissent,” he said.

HEY VIC…go **** a goat, you sellout. I would love to meet with you to discuss the finer points of Pentjak Silat. Vic, you are a race/culture traitor. You gave up your proud latin heritage and got on your knees for the ummah, you sir, are scum. One day you are going to grow up and you will be embarrassed by what you did in your younger days.

The External Vice Chair deals with issues that directly affect students here at UC Santa Cruz on the local, state, and national levels. The EVC is primarily in charge of organizing lobbying efforts, campaigns, and conferences, working with national and statewide associations to inform, educate, empower, create awareness, and initiate dialogue among students. The EVC will work to make the University of California Students Association (UCSA) and the United States Students Association (USSA) more transparent to officers and the General Body, making sure the undergraduate population knows of the opportunities these two associations have to offer. Politically incorrect ignernt and factually wrong, I rediscovered this video from a few years ago. I still like it, and speaking of The End Of The World, here’s Skeeter Davis from 1965:

I fell in love with her when I was in elementary school.  In those days, The End Of The World generally had something to do with the USSR and nuclear annhilation and threats from other Reds/Communists. One baseball team even took to calling itself The Cincinnati Redlegs to keep the newpaper headlines between sports and world events separate.

My favorite End Of The World song is Fishbone’s “Party At Ground Zero.” Later on, REM had a nice hit but this one is more accurate:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XTwWqzKeXc

Don’t forget this End Of The World gem. Michael Nesmith sings about the sister of one of the admins here:

As of today, the EPA has been given the power to regulate CO2 as a pollutant, so now we’re all gonna get fined for breathing. Really. (The Murkowski resolution to stop the EPA power grab failed on a 47-53 vote. Be sure to read Sen. Inhofe’s statement at the link if you haven’t already.)

Where have all the sentient Democrats gone? Has the entire party contracted a logic-eating brain virus? Let’s all exhale a big breath of CO2 while we still can do it for free with an Overnight Open Thread.
