College is a time for social action, student protest and the formulation of ideas and worldviews; a time to broaden one’s mind and for students to begin to shape the world they live in. In North America, college students have been instrumental in some of the biggest protest movements of the 20th Century, including the fight to end the Vietnam War, Women’s Rights and the Civil Rights Movement. Today, the activism continues with students fighting against the genocides in Tibet and Darfur and the war in Iraq.
Anti-Israel or Anti-Semitic?
There is one issue that seems to evoke more hostility then any other – Israel. Israel’s Operation Cast Lead at the close of 2008 evoked feelings of resentment and hatred from people throughout the world. There was something “different” about the protests that this war sparked as the line between anti-Israel policy and anti-Semitism became blurred. These protests weren’t just against Israel but also against the Jewish People. Around the world, synagogues and Jewish graves were desecrated and anti-Semitic chants were shouted at protests – even on the streets of America.
The same ole terrorists are going nuts over Israel again due to Israel’s decision to spend NIS 400 million ($106 million) to preserve 150 heritage sites across Israel, including the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron and Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem.
Mahmoud Abbas — Chief Cook and Holocaust Denier of the confused people who call themselves by a name they can’t pronounce (“The Balestinian Beeble”) — is threatening a new religious war against Israel. Ismail Haniyeh (Hamas) is calling for another intifada. Abu Ahmed (Islamic Jihad) is being slightly more explicit in his description of the “new rules” of their same old terrorist games:
…in the next six months, the rules of the games are expected to change and the attacks will not only be against the settlers in the West Bank, but also within the entity, as we are aware of the fact that the soft underbelly and the biggest pain are when the attacks take place deep inside the enemy’s territory.
First of all, nearly all of the suicide bombings and most of the 10,000 rockets fired since the Oslo Accords have been aimed at Jewish civilians inside the green line. The Arab world has been threatening to either push the Jews into the sea or to turn Israel’s streets red with Jewish blood for decades and decades. There’s nothing new here — no change in the rules of the games.
These terror groups never stopped the suicide bombings as a matter of choice. Israel stopped them with nightly IDF raids against terrorists and the security fence.
Mahmoud Abbas is calling on his “inner Arafat” in directing his threats at Israel in the context of demanding help from the international community for peace talks he’s refusing to hold:
“We expect the European Union to play an active role, which will complement the American role. Any delay will lead to a termination of the peace options and will send the region into a new swirl of violence.”
Israel’s response to Mahmoud Abbas and the other terror leaders:
The Prime Minister’s Office responded Tuesday to the Palestinians’ war and intifada threats following the decision to include Rachel’s Tomb and the Cave of the Patriarchs in the list of Israel’s heritage sites slated to be renovated and preserved.
According to Nir Hefetz, head of the National Information Directorate, “This is a false and hypocritical campaign. The State of Israel is committed to the freedom of worship of all religions in all holy sites, and this is what is it doing in practice.”
According to Hefetz, “Rachel’s Tomb and the Cave of the Patriarchs are burial sites of Israel’s forefathers dating back more than 3,500 years. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the nation’s foremothers – Sarah, Rebecca, Leah and Rachel – and are definitely worthy of preservation and renovation.”
Hefetz added that “these days, the re-maintenance of the entrance plaza and the way leading to the Muslim’s prayer hall in the Cave of the Patriarchs is being completed. Israel will work in a similar way to maintain the site used by Jews arriving at the Cave of the Patriarchs.”
Mahmoud Abbas has a better tailor than Yassir Arafat, but he’s still Arafat’s second in command. He’s still a terrorist with a PhD in Holocaust Denial.
What Israel really needs to do is to add Joseph’s Tomb to the list of heritage sites and restore it:
In the early days of the al-Aqsa Intifada, on the morning of October 7, 2000, Israel withdrew the small contingent of IDF border policemen who had been guarding the site of the Tomb of the Patriarch Joseph and its Yeshiva. The holy site was located in Shechem in Samaria, the town the Arabs call “Nablus”. Over the preceeding days, the Tomb had been attacked with gunfire, stones, and firebombs. The IDF defenders in the compound withstood the attacks and stopped several attempts by armed Palestinians to break in. An IDF border policemen was wounded, and the heavy rioting prevented his evacuation for treatment in time to save his life.
In order to prevent further loss of life and to lower tensions in the area, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak authorized the temporary evacuation of the site, based on the agreement of the Palestinian Authority (PA) to safeguard the location, in accordance with their obligations under the Oslo Accords to protect holy sites, Jewish and Christian, and ensure access by all. The PA also pledged to prevent any vandalism and to return the Tomb to its original state after the violence settled down.
The PA pledge was brazenly violated about two hours after the Israeli evacuation, when a Palestinian Arab mob entered the Tomb compound and began to systematically destroy everything in sight, including all remnants of the Yeshiva. The furniture and books that were left behind were burned by the mob. The Palestinian police stood by, failing to prevent any of these violent activities, despite their committment to guard the Tomb. Within hours, Joseph’s Tomb was reduced to a smoldering heap of rubble. Within two days, as an Associated Press dispatch reported, “the dome of the tomb was painted green and bulldozers were seen clearing the surrounding area,” as the Palestinian Arabs sought to transform the biblical Joseph’s resting place into a Moslem holy site.
Israel’s Cabinet Decision to include the Cave of the Patriarchs and Rachel’s Tomb in the list of heritage sites across Israel won in a unanimous vote. They’re saying that it won’t be overturned.

I saw this at Pamela’s Geller site and felt this needed posting here. Coldwarrior has already exposed the lies about the Balkan conflicts (Part 1, 2a, 2b, 3). He explained that the 90’s conflict was another round in a war that has been raging since the 1300’s. Wrath and Speranza have written and discussed the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and his links to the Nazis.

In my ongoing research into the origins of ownership of the Auschwitz blueprints and the little spoken-of partnership between The Third Reich and Islam, I discovered the Bosnian-Muslims’ current revival of Nazism that I posted here. There is much more damning evidence that this sick and twisted love affair is very much still with us. Much thanks to the indispensable source on Bosnia and Serbia, Julia Gorin.
Even as the Bosnian Muslims were trying to get Jewish support in the early 90s, painting themselves situationally as the contemporary Jews, they were reviving the Nazi Handzar Division to fight the Serbs. Nonetheless, they got the support of both the Jews and the West in their Nazi-inspired fight in the modern 90s. Here is an email I got from historian Carl Savich in 2008, followed by a 1993 UK Daily Telegraph report that was dutifully ignored by the world. Also, please note that in your last paragraph you’ve got Izetbegovic as the “current president.” He was the 1990s wartime president and is currently in hell, as he passed away a few years ago while the Hague was taking its time issuing his indictment. However, please note that the Haris Silajdzic mentioned in the 1993 Guardian article is, disturbingly enough, still in power in Bosnia and harbors jihadists.

Here is a bombshell on Bosnia. There was a formation in the Bosnian Muslim Army called the “Handzar Divizija”. I was just reading the trial transcripts from the Hague and Salko Gusic, a Bosnian Muslim Corps commander went over an order that was issued to the Handzar Divizija! The Hague court has documents proving that the unit existed!
Now, can you imagine naming a unit or formation of your army after a Nazi SS Division? Who would be that insane? Well, I guess the Bosnian Muslims would be that insane!
And the shocking part is that no one caught this! What led me to pursue this story was a story by Robert Fox in 1993 that reported that the Bosnian Muslim government had reformed the Nazi SS Division. Now, everyone was skeptical. I was as well. Who would be that crazy to reform a Nazi SS Division? You have to be out of your mind! And especially when the whole propaganda paradigm is how your enemy is supposedly a Nazi and wants to repeat the Holocaust! It just boggles the mind!

This what I and other supporters of Serbia have been screaming about. The Bosnians are Jihadis and also Nazis. These people are not friends of America but just members of Dar Al Islam. The blueprint being used against Israel now was done to Serbia in the 90’s. Goldstone was a promoter of the Kossovo genocide lies. This is a plan to take down all nations that stand up to the Islamic-Progressive Axis.
And there is something wrong with that? Well I certainly hope that they are. Mossad is not infallible – no intelligence agency is – yet they are patriotic (unlike the CIA) and are committed to defending the Jewish people wherever they are they are threatened. However the Arabs tend to blame every disaster that befalls them (even if it is Arab on Arab violence) on the mystical Mossad so some of these claims need to be taken with the proverbial grain of salt. However, it is nice to get into your enemies head, thereby terrorizing the terrorists.
Note: The Times of London also is notorious in printing and giving credence to the most absurd claims about Israel. They had a fellow many years ago claim that Israel had built an “ethnic bomb” that could tell Arabs from Jews!

The current spate of killings began in December when a “tourist bus” carrying Iranian officials and Hamas members exploded outside Damascus. The official report by Syria claimed that a tyre had exploded but photographs surfaced showing the charred remains of the vehicle — prompting speculation that a much larger explosion had taken place.
Several weeks later a meeting between members of Hamas, which controls Gaza, and their counterparts from Hezbollah in its southern Beirut stronghold in Lebanon was also attacked, resulting in several deaths.
Hamas had sought to cover up the incidents because it was embarrassed, a senior Palestinian official in Ramallah told The Times.

Most recently, the top Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was killed in Dubai on January 19, 2010. He is believed to have been poisoned by a woman who visited his room at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai.
Israeli officials said that Mabhouh had been a key figure in procuring Iranian-made longer-range rockets for Hamas that could be fired at targets in central Israel.

Tensions between Israel and Hamas have remained high, despite the relative quiet that has ensued since the end of Israel’s offensive in Gaza last winter. Israeli troops were placed on alert yesterday after intelligence suggested that Hamas planned to abduct soldiers. Israel said this week that it had foiled a kidnapping in December by arresting the Hamas operative Slaman Abu Atik on the Israeli-Gaza border.
Though I was born into a Muslim family, I became interested in Islam only after 9/11/01 when 19 Muslims murdered 2,996 human beings in the name of Islam. Those who always gave a damn for the truth did their homework and found out first hand what Islam really meant before they said one word about it. But then there were the politicians and the ideologues. Even before the smoke cleared, Western politicians and intellectuals who knew nothing about Islam could not wait to exonerate it by uttering the anti-reality check of our time: “Islam means peace.” This ensured that a rational response to jihad by those in power would be sold out in the name of political correctness and multiculturalism. And though we have come to expect most of our politicians to be unprincipled whores, if enough of us were willing to know what must be known about the enemy and his religion, we could pressure these hacks to actually do their job and protect us without apology. Instead, our culture’s willful ignorance about Islam and its jihad has allowed our leaders to do just enough to give us the impression that they’re defending us. It’s as if they’ve decided that, while the protection of America is optional, the defense of Islam is absolute.
My response to all this is my upcoming graphic novel, “The Infidel.” It’s a story about American twin brothers, Killian Duke and Salaam Duka, whose Muslim background comes crashing to the forefront of their lives on 9/11/01. They end up choosing opposite sides of the war, which breaks their once strong bond. In the fallout of the attacks, Killian rejects Islam and creates a comic book about a ruthless, pigskin-clad superhero named Pigman, who exploits the enemy’s pigotry and becomes the jihadist’s worst nightmare. Salaam’s reaction to the attacks is a diametrically opposite one: he fully submits to the faith he is determined to personify. It’s the Pigman comic book which forces the twins into an escalating conflict that is echoed in Pigman’s battle against his archenemy, SuperJihad.
In a world where men fly planes into towers and are celebrated as heroes by the vile culture that breeds them, we need a new kind of hero that symbolizes our battle against such evil. An icon against jihad who does the right thing no matter how bad it looks, and who brings an unprecedented ruthlessness to the enemy. A hero who is a great villain to all those who had a good day on 9/11/01. Ready or not, here comes Pigman.

In a recent post on The Blogmocracy (Bernardine Dohrn & William Ayers vs Egypt), we discussed Obama pals Bernardine Dohrn & William Ayers and their newest mischief against Israel.
Dohrn and Ayers went to Egypt with “Code Pink” and others to try to stage a march into Gaza to try to force Israel and Egypt to open their borders with Gaza. In Caroline Glick’s article “Code Red on Code Pink,” she described Egypt’s reaction to the group:
Led by Code Pink founder and California Democratic fund-raiser Jodie Evans, the demonstrators were not welcomed by Egyptian authorities. Many were surrounded by riot police and barbed wire as they demonstrated outside the US and French embassies and the UN Development Program’s headquarters.
Bernardine Dorhn blamed Egypt’s response to their campaign as being Israel’s fault, but Caroline Glick describes Egypt’s reaction to this group later in her article:
the Egyptian authorities’ actions were clearly informed by their understanding that, with their ties to Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hizbullah, Syria and Iran, Code Pink and its friends are active collaborators with the jihad war machine.
Code Pink and their friends also have ties to the White House:
Code Pink, for instance, is welcome at the Obama White House. Its leader Evans was an official fund-raiser for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. Evans visited the White House after travelling to Gaza last June. While there she met with Hamas leaders who gave her a letter for Obama. Evans met Obama himself at a donor dinner in San Francisco last October where, while standing in front of cameras, she gave him documents she received in Afghanistan, where she met with Taliban officials.
Then, too, among the board members of the Free Gaza movement is former US senator James Abourezk. Abourezk is reputedly close to Obama and according to knowledgeable sources has been a key figure in shaping Obama’s policy towards Israel.
Then, too, like Evans, Dohrn and her husband, Ayres, are also friendly with the president of the United States. Dohrn and Ayres have been Obama’s political patrons since he launched his first campaign for the Illinois state Senate in 1996. In White House visitors’ logs, Ayres is listed as having twice visited the building since Obama’s inauguration.
It seems that President Obama’s friends at Code Pink were protected by Hamas in Gaza, and have paid protection money both to Hamas and to Obama.
How deep are the ties between the so-called antiwar group Code Pink and the terrorist group Hamas? Deep enough that Hamas guaranteed Code Pink’s safety when the group led an international delegation of anti-Israel leftists to Gaza in late December for the ‘Gaza Freedom March.’
Code Pink claims to have delivered “tens of thousands of dollars in humanitarian aid” to Hamas-controlled Gaza to protest a blockade of the terrorist enclave by the civilized world.
Before Code Pink departed for Egypt where the march was based, co-founder Medea Benjamin told the Western Massachusetts publication The Reminder that Hamas “has pledged to ensure our safety.”

Code Pink was co-founded by Jodie Evans, a top donor and fundraiser for President Barack Obama. Jodie Evans has maintained close ties with Obama and his administration throughout the first year of Obama’s term in office, including two visits to the White House in June just days after a previous Code Pink trip to Gaza where they were given a letter from Hamas to deliver to Obama….
When the pressure starts from Obama for Israel to negotiate with Hamas, you’ll know where it’s coming from.
As if the ties between Code Pink and friends with Obama’s White House and Hamas weren’t disturbing enough, Code Pink also has ties with the Muslim Brotherhood:
As Americans keep a wary eye on Muslim radicals in Yemen, little attention is being given to a far more dangerous enemy right in our own backyard. Under the banner of ‘anti-war’ activism, the radical group Code Pink is running banner advertisements on the English language version of the official Web site of a terrorist sympathizing group, the Muslim Brotherhood, one of which invites the Muslim Brotherhood to “join us in cleansing our country.”
The ad is entitled ‘Arrest The War Criminals.’ Only problem is, Code Pink believes the war criminals are none other than George W. Bush and Co. And they’re actively recruiting radical Muslim terrorists to help them in their cause.
A link on the ad goes to a web site that actually calls for the kidnapping of former President George W. Bush, his wife Laura, his family, and various former administration officials. To date, not a peep has been heard from the Secret Service.
Maybe that’s because Jodie Evans, the co-founder of Code Pink was a top fundraiser for Barack Obama. Or maybe not.
This isn’t the first time the rabid feminist anti-war group has had amicable ties with terrorists. As Andrew Breitbart’s Big Government reports:
“The Muslim Brotherhood published a statement by Code Pink issued in May to promote Code Pink’s trip to Gaza that month. In December, the Muslim Brotherhood published an open letter to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak by Code Pink and the Gaza Freedom March decrying the Egyptian government’s refusal to allow the group passage into Gaza.”

Once again, yet another radical group is discovered to have close ties to President Obama. Yawn.
We also have a group of American citizens actively rallying jihadists and encouraging them to commit war crimes. Hey, I can hardly keep my eyes open.
Most alarming however is the absolute media silence.Well, they’re not actually silent. They are otherwise engaged in the life and death debate over how many times Harry Reid should apologize for his sin of speaking the truth about race.
The media ‘watchdogs’ are asleep and the ones we trust to protect us are instead offering aid and comfort to our enemies when they’re not prosecuting Navy Seals, CIA officials and anyone else whose job is to keep America safe. What’s wrong with this picture?

So there are ties (including financial ties) between the President of the United States Barack Obama and a radical left wing group (Code Pink) that pays protection money to Hamas and delivers letters from Hamas directly to the White House WHILE ALSO rallying and encouraging jihadists to commit war crimes against former President of the United States George W. Bush, his family, and various former administration officials.
Code Pink does all this as part of Code Pink’s virulent anti-America and anti-Israel agenda.
Much of the Arab-Israeli conflict is “complex”, and misunderstood by a majority of the World. Based on the complete lack of factual information, and actual historical context presented by the horribly ignorant, and therefore exceptionally biased media, universities, political parties, and some Religious organizations, this really isn’t all that surprising.
One significant aspect of the Arab-Israeli conflict that is never discussed, yet would explain the PLO/”Palestinians” actions perfectly, is an agreed upon PLO/”Palestinian” strategy from 1974 commonly referred to as the PLO Phased Plan. In the context of the Phased Plan, the practically all steps taken by the Arabs/PLO/”Palestinians” make complete logical sense. In addition, an understanding of the historical context of this Phased Plan will help rip the mask of a “peace process” off the face of the “moderate” Fatah and show their actions in their true context – a desire and change of method to their ultimate goal of destroying Israel.
In 1974, the PLO outlined their future goals, according to the Phased Plan. The Phased Plan calls for Palestinians to create a state on any land that is given to them, and to use that land as a launching ground for attacks against Israel, with the end goal, to take over all of Israel. This plan is well documented, and can be found on the Phakestinian Arab-controlled Jerusalem Media and Communications Centre, and even “Palestine’s” official UN website.
To best understand the importance of this 1974 PLO Phased Plan as a switch of tactics, more than a change of heart, however one must understand what historically was taking place around this time. (h/t United Jerusalem)
Just prior to 1974, the Arab-Muslims had just lost their fifth all out traditional military battle against Israel. The most recent being the Yom Kippur War which was begun by the Arabs in October 1973. In this war, the Arab states launched a surprise attack against Israel on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar, once again attempting to destroy Israel. In addition, because of their humiliating defeat in the 1967 Six-Day-War, the Arabs had the additional goal of attempting to redeem their honor. Though Israel was initially caught off guard, it then regrouped and repelled the Arab attack, but not before incurring heavy casualties.
This loss finally convinced the Arabs that they would not be able to destroy Israel militarily within its post-1967 boundaries, but because of the previously unheard of successes raised their moral, and reinvigorated their zeal for destroying Israel. Accordingly, instead of accepting that their desire to destroy Israel was unattainable, they instead switched gears, embraced the tactic of Terrorism over full military attacks, and embarked upon a new three-stage strategy for Israel’s destruction: The PLO’s 1974 decision commonly known as the Phased Plan.
The Phased Plan, Adopted at the 12th Session of the Palestinian National Council in Cairo, on June 9, 1974, is summed up as follows:
PHASE 1. Through the “armed struggle” (i.e., terrorism), to establish an “independent combatant national authority” over any territory that is “liberated” from Israeli rule. (Article 2)
PHASE 2. To continue the struggle against Israel, using the territory of the national authority as a base of operations. (Article 4)
PHASE 3. To provoke an all-out war in which Israel’s Arab neighbors destroy it entirely (“liberate all Palestinian territory”) (Article 8 )
The Phased Plan remains the basis of PLO actions to this day, even despite the naive folly of the Oslo Accords.
Speaking on September 1, 1993, just after the announcement of the 1993 Israel-PLO agreement, PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat announced on Radio Monte Carlo that the Oslo agreement:
…will be a basis for an independent Palestinian state in accordance with the Palestine National Council resolution issued in 1974… The PNC resolution issued in 1974 calls for the establishment of a national authority on any part of Palestinian soil from which Israel withdraws or which is liberated.
It is worth noting that the PLO’s term for the self-rule council now in place in Gaza and the West Bank is the “Palestinian National Authority,” echoing the language of the Phased Plan.
But, let’s take this all out of the theoretical, and look at some of the present facts on the ground to see how the 1974 PLO Phased Plan is relevant today.
The Anti-Semitism in the U.K. seems to be becoming rampant, widespread, and activating a new generation. Anyone paying attention, and not wearing Progressive kumbaya glasses however could and should have seen this coming. With the amount of Anti-Semitism seeping out of their media masquerading as Anti-Israel dissent, the uncontrolled influx of Islamic immigration and resultant birth rate, and limp wristed response by their Progressive governments, an increase of these events or worse is inevitable.
Man jailed for belt bomb plot against Jews
A 30-year-old Albanian Muslim who wanted to see Jews killed has been convicted of terror offences after Hizbollah instruction manuals on making missiles and suicide bomb belts were found in his home.
Krena Lusha, from Derby, was jailed for seven years on Tuesday at Preston Crown Court for five counts of possessing items connected with terrorism. These included petrol, Hizbollah military instruction manuals on how to make detonators, explosives, a missile and a suicide bomber belt, and a video entitled Mobile Detonators.
On Lusha’s computer were video clips of live beheadings of hostages or prisoners, exploded US military vehicles and ideological material from organisations promoting violent jihad. He told people on a chatline that he wanted to see Jews and Americans killed.
Mr Justice Butterfield told Lusha: “To the outside world you were the cheerful, hard-working helpful man whose only interest was to build a better life for yourself and find a Muslim bride.
“But behind that facade, in my judgment, there was a much darker side to you, a side that positively revelled in violence, death and destruction.”
Unfortunately, it seems that our generation might get our very own Alfred Dreyfus moment. Feh, and the U.S. is now looking towards the U.K. as a role model.

I should remind readers that the House of Saud and the imams who profess the teachings of Muhammad ibn Abd al Wahhab’s go back many years. The House of Saud is Wahhabi. Wahhabis believe in the strict and literal following of the Koran. This literalism allows for lying to and exploiting the kaffir for the expansion of Islam and enslavement or conversion of all the world, it also allows for violent jihad (I will post examples of this later). Wahhabis also believe in strict conformity, in eschewing luxuries (except for the Saudi princess of course), and the responsibility of government for the enforcement of collective moral ordering of society, from the behavior of individuals, to institutions, to businesses, to the government itself by Sharia Law. (Take away Sharia Law and this sounds like our progressives)
This relationship between Wahhabis and the House of Saud is the root of many problems with Islam in the world today. The Saudis are very wealthy and are more than happy to spend some of those petro dollars on training Wahhabi Imams to preach this special brand of Islam throughout the world. Almost all mosques in the US and almost all of the Imams that tend to prisoners are Wahhabi trained (paid for with Saudi money). Our jailhouse converts and ‘homegrown’ followers Islam are almost all Wahhabis.
This special brand of Islam lives in a mosque near you. So next time you feel bad about the Swiss banning the minaret or think that the West should ‘Coexist’ with these barbarians, think to yourself about the lovely cathedrals in Riyadh, or that beautiful Jewish Temple in Jiddah!

Tiger Woods got into an accident Friday morning after a fight with his wife. This is a case of domestic violence, but one where it was the wife who was the aggressor.
Tiger Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident. They were inflicted by his wife, Elin Nordegren — according to a conversation Woods had Friday after the accident.
Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol — that should happen this afternoon. But we’re told Tiger had a conversation Friday — with a non-law enforcement type — detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant.
We’re told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We’re told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV — but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.
Clearly Tiger was running for for his life. This is a very tricky situation and I wish him the best and hope him and his wife resolve this.

Update: The Islamo-Imperialists have commited an act of agression in Russiaa. They have launched a bomb attack on innocent Russians riding a train.
UGLOVKA, Russia — An elite passenger train carrying hundreds of people from Moscow to Saint Petersburg was derailed by a bomb attack that left dozens dead and nearly 100 injured, officials said Saturday.
The attack occurred late Friday about 400 kilometres (250 miles) northwest of Moscow in a forest where the same train, the Nevsky Express, popular with tourists and commuters, was hit by a similar bomb attack in August 2007.
“We are indeed talking about a terrorist attack,” Vladimir Markin, spokesman for the federal investigative committee, was quoted as saying by the Interfax news agency.
The committee said in a statement that it had recovered bomb fragments at the scene of the derailment, and a top official told President Dmitry Medvedev the disaster had been caused by a bomb blast.
“It appears that an improvised explosive device with the force of around seven kilogrammes of TNT was detonated,” the head of the FSB security service said in a meeting with Medvedev shown on state television.

Even beyond these examples, however, we see that political correctness has emerged, especially in the years following 9-11, as a deadly threat to Americans. How? By the fact that it hampers us from being able to defend ourselves against the existential threat to America posed by radical Muslim terrorists. Far from waking up and getting serious about dealing with the threat of Islamofascist terrorists, America has largely followed a course of politically correct head-in-the-sand relativism towards the people who would like nothing more than to destroy America and behead any who don’t convert to their particular version of lunar idolatry. Even in the midst of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan — ostensibly being fought to destroy foreign supporters of terrorism — Bush was telling us “Islam is a peaceful religion.” The FBI — the people who are supposed to be investigating and stopping acts of terrorism on American soil — have relied upon the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group with high-ranking members who are known to have supported terrorist organizations, to train its field agents in “sensitivity.” The new watchword of the PC thugs is “Islamophobia,” which can be defined as “a willingness to speak the truth about the ugly aspects of Islam.”
So we see the PC infection having deadly results at Fort Hood, in Texas, where a Muslim terrorist masquerading as a U.S. Army Major ambushed and killed 12 unarmed American soldiers, and wounded 30 others. But wait — we can’t call it terrorism. Instead of calling a spade a spade, the news media concoct all kinds of stories to explain why Major Nidal Malik Hasan would have gone on his shooting rampage. Perhaps it was post-traumatic stress disorder — except that he had never been in combat. Maybe he just empathized with the soldiers with PTSD that he was counseling and broke from the stress — except that he reportedly spent many a counseling session berating them for participating in “the war against Islam” instead of trying to help them through their psychological difficulties. Perchance Maj. Hasan is really the victim here, since at one point several years ago, some guy in his apartment complex allegedly tore a pro-jihad bumper sticker off his car and keyed it? Sure, since we all know that a shooting spree is the entirely appropriate response to a stolen bumper sticker and a keyed car. One thing that the media and the commentators and apparently the President of the United States himself are all agreed on is that we can’t “jump to conclusions” that radical Islamic beliefs had anything to do with a guy shouting “Allah Akbar” while shooting unarmed people.
