Submit Your Story

Everyone has their own unique experiences with freedom and democracy. One of the things that we’re most proud of about our site is that we provide a place where everyone can talk about the experiences they’ve had, both good and bad. No matter where you’re from, what you believe, or how old you are, we think your story is worth sharing here on the Blogmocracy. We believe that a peaceful exchange of ideas is key to making progress in the world. Interested in submitting something to us? Read on to find out how.

Before you start writing, you should know the guidelines that we have for our stories. Just because you submit a story doesn’t necessarily mean it can be published. Here’s what we prefer to see from our writers.

  • Articles must be between 400 and 1000 words. We find that the most impactful stories use direct language and are broken up into bullet points or short paragraphs for easy readability. Articles that are over 1000 words tend to be too dense for our audience, however, articles that are shorter than 400 words tend not to have enough substance.
  • Your story should share your experiences and ideas about freedom and democracy and how it affects your life. We encourage you to be honest and passionate when you write. However, we prefer not to publish anything with overly abrasive language, as we find that it detracts from the impact of the story.
  • Any facts that are mentioned in the article should be backed up with research. When submitting the article, you may include the links to references for your research in the same document on a separate page.

Once your story is written and ready to share, all you have to do is submit it to us! We take submissions via email only. Please include along with your story as short bio telling us who you are, where you are from, and a few basic facts about yourself. If you would like, you can also include a photo to be published with your article.

Upon submission, please allow up to two weeks for our response. We will let you know if your story will be published – please do not contact us to inquire about the status of your submission. Unfortunately, we are not able to publish all submissions due to volume. However, if we like your story but cannot publish it right now, we may add it to our archives to publish in the future if appropriate.
