Canada rejecting Islamic Cultural Imperialism

by Rodan ( 71 Comments › )

Canada was under Progressive control for nearly 14 years until 2006. That election brought Stephen Harper into power. Since then, Canada has gone against its former Tranzi Progressive foreign policy. Canada is clearly in the anti-Islamic Imperialist camp by supporting Israel and India. The change is also occurring on a cultural level. Under the Leftist regime, the Islamic colonization of Canada increased dramatically. From a population of 253,265 in 1991 on the eve of the Progressive takeover, it is now at 800,000 or 2.5% of the population. With this increase numbers, the Imperialist are attempting to impose cultural supremacy. However, Canadians are fighting back and want the Niqab banned!

Introduced last week, Bill 94 is the first legislation in North America to place a de facto ban on any religious face coverings in any government building—including within the walls of every government-subsidized high school, CEGEP and university in Quebec.

Quebecers have risen in support of the bill, and in a rare show of national unity rivalling even that seen during the recent Olympics, the rest of the country is largely behind them, according to a recent Angus Reid poll, which found that 95 per cent of Quebecers, and three out of four of non-Quebecers, approved of Bill 94. The issue has brought together the governing Conservatives and the Liberals, both of which were quick to endorse the bill, while even the Bloc Québécois (no friend of the current Quebec government) agreed with certain aspects of the law, albeit tepidly. Even certain Muslim groups praised Bill 94 as an example of moderation.

“Two words: uncovered face,” said Quebec Premier Jean Charest last week, after tabling Bill 94. “The principle is clear.” His national assembly colleagues were even more unequivocal. Cabinet minister Christine St-Pierre called religious face coverings “ambulatory prisons,” while Parti Québécois immigration critic Louise Beaudoin said any religious head coverings, not just the niqab or the more restrictive burka, are examples of “submission of women, of regression, and a subjugation of all our freedoms.” Bill 94, Beaudoin says, is “anemic.” Translation: the bill doesn’t go nearly far enough.

I salute my Canadian brothers in their resistance to this cultural Imperialism. This should give Americans hope that Progressive domination doesn’t always lead towards national suicide. Hopefully America will follow Canada’s lead and resist Islamic Cultural Imperialism.

Denver Shoe Bomb attempt was a joke

by Rodan ( 81 Comments › )

Unreal. A Qatari diplomat went to the bathroom on a flight and smoke was seen coming out. The Air Marshals went and confronted the man. He then said he was lighting his shoes on fire. He was arrested and they are now claiming he was joking.

FBI agents say no explosives were found in the shoes of a Qatar diplomat who was subdued by federal air marshals on a United flight to Denver Wednesday night after allegedly telling the marshals, “I’m lighting my shoes on fire.”

Authorities say the diplomat was wrestled to the ground and two F-16 fighter jets were dispatched to accompany the 757 on the final 40 minutes of its flight to Denver. Flight 663 originated from Washington Reagan airport.

If this is Islamic humor, then I don’t find it funny. My gut tells me there’s more to this.

Moscow fears tide of Black Widows

by Speranza ( 122 Comments › )
Filed under Islamic Terrorism, Islamists, Russia, Terrorism at March 31st, 2010 - 11:00 am

Well color me shocked, I thought that Islam meant “peace”. Seriously though, I could not fault the Russkies if they now decided to treate Chechen women as enemy combatants to be dealt summarily with if caught. You think that the FSB (the successor to the KGB)  will be doing any profiling? Yes Islamic terrorists (now there is a redundancy) need to be treated like rats. The French used to luanch “ratissages” (rat hunts) in the casbahs of Algiers (which made the Israeli offensives against Hamas seem like girl scout cookie selling  campaigns)  and Oran and they were ruthlessly effective until De Gaulle decided to break his promises to the pieds noirs – but I digress.

by Tony Halpin

Russian security services were hunting for more “Black Widows” yesterday amid fears that the women who blew themselves up in the Moscow Metro were part of a 30-strong suicide squad trained by a Chechen terrorist leader.

Agents from the Federal Security Service (FSB) believe that the women were avenging the death of Said Buryatsky, the leading ideologue of the Islamist rebels in the North Caucasus, who was killed this month in Ingushetia. They were trying to establish whether the attack was a one-off response to his death or the start of a suicide bombing campaign that he had prepared before the FSB tracked him down.

Moscow observed a day of mourning as a woman who died in hospital became the bombers’ 39th victim. Police circulated grisly photographs of the facial remains of the Black Widows in an attempt to identify the women who blew themselves up on trains at Lubyanka station, next to the FSB’s headquarters, and at Park Kultury.

Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister, urged security chiefs to drag out “from the bottom of the sewers” those who had planned the bombings, in language that recalled his 1999 pledge to pursue terrorists and “waste them in the outhouse”. He said: “It’s a matter of honour for law enforcement bodies to scrape them from the bottom of the sewers and into the daylight.”

[...]

Ramzan Kadyrov, Chechnya’s Kremlin-backed President, offered a characteristic response in the newspaper Izvestia, writing: “We believe that terrorists must be hunted down; they must be poisoned like rats.”

Obama: Passover Wrap Up, “Next Year In Jerusalem ,” Deemed “Provocative”

by snork ( 110 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Humor, Judaism, Open thread, Religion at March 28th, 2010 - 2:00 pm

This is a spoof. This is only a spoof. From this blog, a satirical take on the traditional end of the Passover Seder, which for centuries has been: “next year in Jerusalem”:

Shana Habbab (AP White House Correspondent)

(AP) — An unidentified Israeli official has confirmed that private discussions between President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu included an urgent request from the President that the traditional closing refrain “next year in Jerusalem” be deleted during the upcoming Passover holiday, calling the ancient passage provocative and unhelpful for the future of peace talks. Calling it “an easy fix,” Obama strongly urged the Jewish People to replace it with “next year in peace” or “next year in Tel Aviv,” leaving the exact wording to final status talks between Israelis and Palestinians. Netanyahu is said to have balked at the request, indicating that the refrain dates back well before the UN Partition of 1947 and well before the U.S. Declaration of Independence, for that matter. The Prime Minister reportedly attempted to defuse the situation by offering to remove it from the conclusion of the lesser-known Yom Kippur service, and suggesting the phrase was defunct anyway since Jews have controlled all of Jerusalem since 1967. However, a visibly irritated President Obama flatly rejected the compromise, adding it was another indication the “stiff-necked” Prime Minister did not appear “serious about peace.”

Shortly after the meeting, both sides issued a terse statement saying that no agreement had been reached on the matter.

Yyyyyyyeah.

Saudis fund Balkan Muslims spreading hate of the West

by Speranza ( 111 Comments › )
Filed under Islamic Finance, Islamic Invasion, Islamists, Religion, Saudi Arabia, Serbia at March 28th, 2010 - 12:00 pm

Wow that’s a real shocka! I really would love to see the Saudis humbled and humiliated but since 1944 they have become the pet nation of the State Department (through both Democratic and Republican administrations). There is a part of me which longs for the day when the House of Saud is given the Najibullah treatment (the former Afghan Soviet puppet who was lynched from a lamp post) but then the al Qaeda bunch will probably take over.

by Bojan Pancevski

SAUDI ARABIA is pouring hundreds of millions of pounds into Islamist groups in the Balkans, some of which spread hatred of the West and recruit fighters for jihad in Afghanistan.

According to officials in Macedonia, Islamic fundamentalism threatens to destabilize the Balkans. Strict Wahhabi and Salafi factions funded by Saudi organizations are clashing with traditionally moderate local Muslim communities.

Fundamentalists have financed the construction of scores of mosques and community centers as well as handing some followers up to £225 a month. They are expected not only to grow beards but also to persuade their wives to wear the niqab, or face veil, a custom virtually unknown in the liberal Islamic tradition of the Balkans.

Government sources in traditionally secular Macedonia (official title the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), said they were monitoring up to 50 Al-Qaeda volunteers recruited to fight in Afghanistan.

Classified documents seen by The Sunday Times reveal that Macedonian officials are also investigating a number of Islamic charities, some in Saudi Arabia, which are active throughout the Balkans and are suspected of spreading extremism and laundering money for terrorist organisations.

One of the groups under scrutiny is the International Islamic Relief Organisation from Saudi Arabia, which is on a United Nations blacklist of organisations backing terrorism. It did not respond to inquiries, but has previously denied involvement in terrorist activities, calling such claims “totally unfounded”.

According to its website, it works in 32 countries to provide relief to the victims of natural disasters and to carry out humanitarian, health and educational projects.

“Hundreds of millions have been poured into Macedonia alone in the past decade and most of it comes from Saudi Arabia,” said a government source. “The Saudis’ main export seems to be ideology, not oil.”

Sulejman Rexhepi, leader of the Islamic community in Macedonia, said a number of mosques had been forcibly taken over by radical groups. Four in central Skopje are no longer under the control of the official Islamic authorities. New imams claim they have been “spontaneously” installed by the “people”.

“Their so-called Wahhabi teachings are completely alien to our traditions and to the essence of Islam, which is a tolerant and inclusive religion,” said Rexhepi.

Palestinian Authority Closes Christian TV Station

by Rodan ( 90 Comments › )
Filed under Dhimmitude, Islamic Supremacism, Israel, Sharia (Islamic Law) at March 24th, 2010 - 6:00 am

The US tax payer funded entity called the Palestinian Authority has done an act that should be thoroughly condemned. They have closed a Christian television station that was operating out of Sahur, which is near Bethlehem in Judea-Samaria. However, don’t expect anything to be said because the elites of  both parties that rule America don’t care about what happens to Christians. If it was Israel shutting down a Muslim station, Barack Hussein Obama would be condemning it loudly and repeatedly. As usual, when Muslims commit acts against Christians, nothing is said or done.

The owner of a private Christian TV station on Tuesday accused the Palestinian Authority of silencing the voice of the Christian minority in the Holy Land by forcing him to go off the air.

Samir Qumsieh, owner and director of Al-Mahed (Nativity) TV, which was founded in Beit Sahur, near Bethlehem, 14 years ago, said PA security officials who raided his station last week told him that the decision to close it down had been taken because he did not have a proper license.

When Israel ruled all of Judea-Samaria, the Christians flourished. Now under Islamo-Imperialis occupation, their population has dwindled and they are treated as Dhimmis. As we know, apartments in Jerusalem are more important than a US tax payer funded regime shutting down a Christian station.

What world are we living in?

Iran: New Middle East won’t include Zionists

Arab nations will usher in a new Middle East “without Zionists and without colonialists,” Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday.

Ahmadinejad spoke Thursday during a trip to Syria. The trip follows a string of US efforts to break up Syria’s 30-year alliance with Tehran.

He said that “if the Zionist regime wants to repeat its past mistakes, this will bring about its demise and annihilation.”

Silly Jeff. Silly Mutt. Isn’t holding hands kinda…ghey? Aren’t you guys supposed to get pushed off a cliff or something for that?

Iranian Official racially insults Obama

by Rodan ( 102 Comments › )
Filed under Iran, Islamic Supremacism, Leftist-Islamic Alliance, Progressives at January 25th, 2010 - 8:00 pm

The Iranian regime is beloved by Progressives the world over. It was Tranzi Progressive pressure that forced Bush to back down from bombing the Iranian nuclear sites.  This regime has replaced Cuba as the Left’s favorite nation. Barack Hussein Obama admires the Ayatollah Government. When the Persian people rose against their Arabist regime, he sided with Ahmadinejad and Ayatollah Khamenei. This appeasement of this Imperialist regime has resulted in nothing. In fact, an Iranian official has insulted Obama racially.

Mohammad Javad Larijani criticized the policies adopted by U.S. President Barack Obama and referred to him using a racial epithet.

“When Barack Obama was sworn into office he talked of verbally engaging Iran,” the U.C. Berkeley graduate was quoted as saying. “What has changed is that today this [the equivalent of the N-word in Farsi] talks of regime change in Iran.”

In a Saturday meeting at the Islamic Engineers Society, Larijani said, “I am not a racist, but I must respond to this man [Obama] in some way.”

Larijani’s brother, Ali, is the speaker of Majles (Parliament). Another brother, Sadegh, is head of the judiciary.

Hey Obama, how’s that outreach to Iran going? Progressives, nice friends you have in Iran. The use of a racial insult shows the typical Muslim thinking. They believe that members of the Ummah are the master race. Maybe that’s why Progressives like them. After all, the concept of superior races is a Progressive idea. Look for Leftists like Juan Cole to claim, Larijani to didn’t use a racial term in Farsi. They will spin any excuse for their beloved Iranian regime.

The Deadly Price of Pursuing Peace

by Speranza ( 124 Comments › )
Filed under Israel, Palestinians at December 31st, 2009 - 12:00 pm

I doubt there is anyone outside of the Haaretz or New York Times editorial staffs who thinks that Oslo was a good idea. I actually had a liberal friend tell me “It (Oslo) would have worked out if Arafat were not such a murderer” (I kid you not he actually said that). Yet we still hear the mantra of the so called “peace process”. That is bogus – peace is not a process. Peace between enemies comes about

1. When one party can no longer stand the physical and economic cost of war

2. One party is being bludgeoned to death.

In 1992 – 93 Israel’s standard in the world was pretty high because their Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir (a tough little inflexible bastard) was not interested in being liked. During those years, enemies or previously unfriendly nations such as China, India, Vietnam, the USSR,  Spain, (even the Vatican), all established full diplomatic relations with her. When a nation acts in its own interests and does not worry Hamlet-like over whether it will be popular in the salons of the Washington Post – good things usually happen for them. Compare and contrast the Israel of 1991 – 93 with the Israel of the Olmert years – confused and stunned like a duck hit on the head. The second intifada at one point (Spring of 2002) seemed to be on the verge of bringing Israel to its knees. However the naysayers who said that the security fence would never work and that there is no military solution to Palestinian terrorism, only diplomacy and negotiations, (i.e. surrender and appeasement)  were again proven wrong.

by Evelyn Gordon

When the Oslo process began in 1993, one benefit its adherents promised was a significant improvement in Israel’s international standing. And initially, it seemed as if that promise would be kept: 37 countries soon established or renewed diplomatic relations with Israel; a peace treaty was signed with Jordan; five other Arab states opened lower-level relations.

But 16 years later, it is clear that this initial boost was illusory. Not only is Israel’s standing no better than it was prior to the famous handshake between Yitzhak Rabin and Yasir Arafat on the White House Lawn in September 1993, it has fallen to an unprecedented low. Efforts to boycott and divest from Israel are gaining strength throughout the West, among groups as diverse as British academics, Canadian labor unions, the Norwegian government’s investment fund, and American churches. Israeli military operations routinely spark huge protests worldwide, often featuring anti-Semitic slogans. References to Israel as an apartheid state have become so commonplace that even a former president of Israel’s closest ally, the United States, had no qualms about using the term in the title of his 2007 book on Israel. European polls repeatedly deem Israel the greatest threat to world peace, greater even than such beacons of tranquility and democracy as Iran and North Korea. Courts in several European countries, including Belgium, Britain, and Spain, have seriously considered indicting Israeli officials for war crimes (though none has actually yet done so). And in October, when the United Nations Human Rights Council overwhelmingly endorsed a report that advocated hauling Israel before the International Criminal Court on war-crimes charges, even many of Jerusalem’s supposed allies refused to vote against the measure. In academic and media circles, it has even become acceptable to question Israel’s very right to exist—something never asked about any other state in the world. None of these developments was imaginable back in the days when Israel refused to talk to the Palestine Liberation Organization, had yet to withdraw from an inch of “Palestinian” land, and had not evacuated a single settlement.

Yet even today, conventional wisdom, including in Israel, continues to assert that Israel’s international standing depends on its willingness to advance the “peace process.” That invites an obvious question: if so, why has Israel’s reputation fallen so low despite its numerous concessions for peace since 1993?

The answer is unpleasant to contemplate, but the mounting evidence makes it inescapable: Israel’s standing has declined so precipitously not despite Oslo but because of Oslo. It was Israel’s very willingness to make concessions for the sake of peace that has produced its current near-pariah status.
