Hamas Stages Mass Wedding of 450 Little Girls To Adult Men

It is not often that I am truly shocked by what is going on in Gaza, and with Hamas.  This however has me actually sick to my stomach.  How the world can sit idly by and ignore this sort of thing is mind-boggling.  The fact that the U.S. is probably paying for it is even worse.

This is not Change I believe in!

SHEIKH ZAYED CITY, Gaza Strip — Nearly a thousand Palestinians celebrated marriage on Thursday night in a ceremony organised by Hamas in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Hamas dignitaries including Mahmud Zahar, one of the militant group’s top leaders, were on hand to congratulate 450 grooms who took part in the carefully stage-managed event.

“We are saying to the world and to America that you cannot deny us joy and happiness,” Zahar told the men, all of whom were dressed in identical black suits and hailed from the nearby Jabalia refugee camp.

Each groom received a present of 500 dollars from Hamas, which said its workers had also contributed five percent of their monthly salaries to add to the wedding gift.

The 450 brides shared none of the glamour, taking seats among the audience of around 1,000 party guests: most couples had already taken part in religious ceremonies elsewhere, with more marriages planned for the next few days.

“We are presenting this wedding as a gift to our people who stood firm in the face of the siege and the war,” local Hamas strongman Ibrahim Salaf said in a speech.

The Gaza Strip has been under Israeli blockade since the Islamist Hamas movement seized control there in June 2007. In December and January 1,400 Gazans and 13 Israelis were killed in a 22-day war that left much of the territory in ruins.

Notice how the AFP article says nothing about the ages of the girls, ignores what is really taking place at this event, but finds space to stick in a blurb about how “evil” Israel is.  What the heck does Israel have to do with this wedding of 450 old perverts to pre-pubescent girls?  This sort of thing is unheard of in Israel.

The media, and the liberal establishment behind it, should be ashamed of themselves.  They are so blinded by Israel hatred, Islamist sycophancy, multiculturalism and their rudderless leftism that they have completely forgotten the universal principles of decency their liberalism is supposed to stand for.  Instead they help Hamas turn the mass rape, and enslavement of over 400 pre-pubescent little girls into into some sort of glorious rebellion against a mythical oppression.  This is really sick!

The following video shows the true age of the “brides”.

18th Ethics complaint filed against Palin

Filed under Democratic Party, Republican Party, Sarah Palin at July 15th, 2009 - 12:20 pm

sarah_palin_makeupANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Outgoing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is facing yet another ethics complaint — the 18th against her and the very thing that helped to prompt her resignation.

The latest complaint alleges she abused her office by accepting a salary and using state staff while campaigning outside Alaska for the vice presidency. It’s the third complaint filed against the Republican since she announced July 3 that she was stepping down.

I wonder if Obama, Biden and Hillary are guilty of the same?
I forgot they are D’s not R’s and its impossible for them to violate any ethics because they don’t have any to begin with.

This is the 18th ethics compliant filed against Sarah and as Gateway Pundit notes: all pervious bogus ethics  complaints have been dismissed yet this article fails to mention that, I wonder why?

Rasmussen Says Republicans Rebounding on the Issues

by tqcincinnatus ( 47 Comments › )
Filed under Politics, Polls at June 8th, 2009 - 6:22 pm

Good news for the Republicans – Voters now trust them more than the Democrats on six out of ten issues on the monthly Trust on Issues tracking poll.

Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on six out of 10 key issues, including the top issue of the economy.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 45% now trust the GOP more to handle economic issues, while 39% trust Democrats more.

This is the first time in over two years of polling that the GOP has held the advantage on this issue. The parties were close in May, with the Democrats holding a modest 44% to 43% edge. The latest survey was taken just after General Motors announced it was going into bankruptcy as part of a deal brokered by the Obama administration that gives the government majority ownership of the failing automaker.

Voters not affiliated with either party now trust the GOP more to handle economic issues by a two-to-one margin.

Separate Rasmussen tracking shows that the economy remains the top issue among voters in terms of importance.

According to the survey, Americans now trust the GOP over the Dems by margins of 51%-36% on national security, 45%-37% on Iraq, 45%-39% on the economy, 44%-39% on taxes, and 35%-29% on government ethics (notice, though, the apparent high percentage of “undecideds” on that one!)

The Dems still hold advantages on the issues of health care, education, and social security.  However, it’s interesting to note in comparing last months’ tracking poll, that the Republicans have actually narrowed the gaps – substantially - on those three issues as well.

Also interesting?    There was no movement on which Party voters trust on the issue of abortion – it was 41%-41% both months.  Now, let’s keep in mind that June’s poll was taken between June 3 and June 6, right when the media’s “all pro-lifers are culpable for George Tiller’s murder” frenzy was reaching its peak.  Yet, it looks like it had NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER on people’s views of this issue with respect to the Parties, despite the Left’s best efforts to give conservatives and Republicans a black eye about it.

FAIL.

Bill O’Reilly The Pseudo Internet Cop!

This from Hot Air, (emphasis mine)

The entire O’Reilly Factor kerfuffle started when Bill assigned himself the role of internet cop and busted us (Hot Air) for writing hateful posts — by quoting a commenter, a newfangled development on blogs which apparently confused Bill.
[...]
Patterico then took Bill at his word and paid good money to join Bill’s site (note that we don’t charge people to read Hot Air) and did a little internet policing of his own.

Did Patterico get a high-five from the Factor for his intrepid work in pointing out hateful comments?  Not exactly:

I wish I could share today’s “BillOReilly.com blog posting” . . . but my membership has been terminated:

Voices From Around The World The Media Missed

by WrathofG-d ( 14 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Democratic Party, Politics, Terrorism, Turkey, UK, World at April 7th, 2009 - 2:12 pm

When George W. Bush or his administration visited a foreign country, the news feeds were flooded with pictures and articles regarding the Anti-Bush protests and other similar stories to create a feeling that there was an Anti-Americanism being fanned across the World because of Bush’s policies.

Although there might be a valid argument for that point-of-view (one I cannot verify or reject insofar that I must rely on the news), the way that the mainstream media handles Obama and his administration’s visits to foreign nations (and in general) evidences the media bias, and the power the media has to shape the story, and thus the public’s response, and therefore the future.   The election of President Barack Hussein Obama made that very evident.

Below are pictures from Obama’s trip across the world, and those of his administration that you wouldn’t have seen otherwise.  (place cursor over picture for description)

Turkey

Demonstrators hold an anti-U.S. President Barack Obama placard during protests in downtown Ankara April 6, 2009. Obama is visiting Turkey on the last leg of an eight-day trip that marks his debut as president on the world stage, is a recognition of the secular but predominantly Muslim country's growing clout and Washington's desire for its help to solve confrontations and conflicts from Iran to Afghanistan.'Halkin Kurtulus Partisi' reads as People's Independence Party.

A woman protests while holding a banner reading "Obama, dont come to Turkey" during a demonstration in Istanbul on April 6, 2009. Barack Obama, seeking to boost ties with a key Muslim ally, firmly backed Turkey's bid to join the EU and tread carefully on Armenia's decades-old claims of genocide.

Demonstrators shout anti-U.S President Barack Obama slogans during a protest in Istanbul April 7, 2009. Obama is on the last leg of his debut trip on the world stage as president. He is trying to rebuild ties with Muslims after anger at the invasion of Iraq and war in Afghanistan, made more urgent by a strengthening al Qaeda and Taliban insurgency.

Indonesia

Students shout 'God is Great' during a rally against the visit of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to Indonesia at Jakarta's presidential palace February 18, 2009. Clinton arrived in Indonesia on Wednesday for a goodwill visit to the world's most populous Muslim nation, where President Barack Obama is a popular figure, despite some anti-U.S. protests.

.

England

A demonstrator holds a placard with the words 'Obama kiss my toxic assets' during the "Put People First" march through central London, on March 28, 2009. Tens of thousands of trade unionists, environmental campaigners and anti-globalisation activists took to the streets of London on Saturday to start five days of protests before the G20 summit.

SPAIN

A man wearing a mask resembling US President Barack Obama holds a placard reading "Crisis? Calm down, there is nothing wrong" in front of the Finance Ministry in Madrid on March 28, 2009, during a demonstration as part of a day of protests ahead of the G20 summit to be held in London on April 2, 2009 .US Vice President Joe Biden called for tens of thousands of protesters already on the streets of Europe ahead of a G20 summit next week to give governments a chance to tackle the economic crisis.

The John Galt Effect.

by bar ( 42 Comments › )
Filed under Democratic Party, Media, Politics at March 9th, 2009 - 10:38 pm

by  Dr. Arthur Robinson
02/02/2009

A hidden effect of the November 4 elections and the national events that preceded them during this past year is perhaps best called the “John Galt Effect” in honor of Ayn Rand’s famous character in Atlas Shrugged.  It is occurring to a very significant extent.

Our technological civilization stands upon the shoulders of many generations of free Americans and the great accomplishments that they bequeathed to us. Among those Americans and their counterparts in other countries have been a small special group of people whose unusual genius, work ethic, and love for their specialties were especially outstanding. These men, by their examples, their creations, and their leadership of free enterprises, have led our civilization upward. One of the greatest privileges of my life has been to know a few such people.

Without this small group of people, the technological attainments of their generations would not have taken place. We know the names of a few of them, but there were many more — constituting perhaps one person in a thousand. Ayn Rand called these people the “men of the mind.” In Atlas Shrugged, under the leadership of John Galt, they withdrew their services. They would only work in freedom. They would not work under tyranny.

Can We get a “Reset” button?

Hillary Clinton In A Headscarf With Yassir Arafat

The first gaffe this week is when Pres. Obama was just plain rude to the British Prime Minister on his first visit to the White House, but what else can we expect from an elitist pompous ass Donkey.

Next is Hillary’s and the US state departments gaffe. Hillary was in Russia today and gave a gift to Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. The intent was a joke and a big dig at the Bush administration, but the joke was only on Hillary and the US state department.

The gift was a red button that was to read “reset” (peregruzka) in Russian. Hillary explained that they tried really hard to get the word correct and asked if they did.

The Prime Minister replied, you got it wrong! Instead of the word “reset”, Sergei Lavrov explained the word on the button meant “overcharge”!

Now isn’t that the truth?

The good news, Jimmy Cater is no longer the worst President the US has ever had.

‘Maybe Limbaugh Should Be Executed For Treason’

On Tuesday, liberal talk radio host Stephanie Miller called Rush Limbaugh’s now well-publicized statement about wanting Barack Obama to fail “treasonous,” and wondered if he should be executed for saying such a thing.

Miller made this rather provocative comment on CNN’s “Larry King Live,” and oddly nobody batted an eye or seemed at all put off by it.

Not surprisingly, the topic of discussion between King and his guests — which other than Miller included the Huffington Post’s Arianna Huffington, conservative talk radio host Lars Larson, and GOP strategist Nancy Pfotenhauer — was all the brouhaha surrounding Limbaugh .

Can you feel the liberal love?

FDIC could be broke by years end

by bar ( 237 Comments › )

money_tree52

According to Chairman Sheila Bair it appears the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp (FDIC), you know the people who insure your bank account against the bank being stupid. They may be broke or worse by years end. The fund is currently at its lowest level in 25 years.

But given the accelerating bank failures that have been depleting the deposit insurance fund, she said, it “could become insolvent this year.”

“Without substantial amounts of additional assessment revenue in the near future, current projections indicate that the fund balance will approach zero or even become negative,” Bair wrote in the letter dated Monday to the chief executives of the nation’s 8,305 federally insured banks and thrifts.

I suppose the recently approved 3.5 trillion dollar budget couldn’t spare a paltry hundred billion or so dollars to keep the FDIC solvent. Not this administration, no that money is better spent giving it away to people who made bad choices or didn’t work for it at all. While hard working Americans who didn’t purchase a house they could not afford or take out a second mortgage just to go on a vacation they could not afford could get the short end of this fiasco.

That is the glaring difference between a Democrat and a Republican. Democrats want to expand welfare while Republicans want to create real good paying jobs. Give a man a fish and you will feed him for one day, teach him how to fish and you will feed him for life.

“Some have suggested that we should turn to taxpayers for funding,” she said in her letter to the bank executives. “But banks — not taxpayers — are expected to fund the system, and I believe Congress would look skeptically on such a course of action.

Of course spreading the wealth is somehow now OK and giving taxpayer money to piss poor banks is just fine, but saving a families bank account is considered wrong?
WTF is wrong with these people?

To me this current thinking is backassward, instead of throwing money at losing financial institutions that are hemorrhaging money left and right, save that money to protect the depositors.

Sweden: Islamists Attack Pro-Israel Rally With Bombs & Rockets

by WrathofG-d ( 10 Comments › )
Filed under Dhimmitude, Islamic Terrorism, Jihad, Leftist-Islamic Alliance, Palestinians at February 11th, 2009 - 3:37 pm

As was evidenced by the Anti-Israel/Pro-Hamas rallies across the world during “Operation Cast Lead”, the terrorists and their supports are getting more confident, and more violent everyday.  This week in Sweden their brashness was taken to new heights as they attacked peaceful Pro-Israel supporters with rocket fireworks, and pipe bombs while the police just stood their and watched.

________________________________________________________________

Islamists Fire Rockets, Hurl Bombs at Pro-Israel Crowd in Sweden

(Thank You: Israel National News)

(IsraelNN.com) Islamists reached new heights of audacity in a face-off with pro-Israel demonstrators in Malmö, Sweden on Sunday, firing rockets and throwing pipe bombs at the pro-Israel group in broad daylight and under police’s noses. No one was hurt. The incident was videotaped by Swedish blogger Ted Ekeroth, whose blog contains videos showing the attack.

Between 400 and 500 people gathered in Stortorget Square for a peaceful pro-Israeli protest.

The police sealed off the entire square and only allowed in the protesters, as well as a smaller group of Islamists, and separated the two groups from each other.

Blogger Ekeroth wrote: “It didn’t take long until they started attacking us, this time with homemade pipebombs and fireworks. The homemade bombs were pretty powerful, as I stood not too far away when one of them exploded. According to what I heard, the police managed to arrest the ones that threw the bombs. However, they did not disperse the [A]rab crowd…”

In total, Ekeroth reported, the Islamists threw two pipe bombs, fired two rockets and hurled some glass bottles. The bombs did not reach the pro-Israel protesters but the rockets exploded over their heads.

The largest newspaper in the south, Sydsvenskan, chose to “distort and bend the truth,” Ekeroth reported. The news item about the confrontation was headlined “Several arrested during Israel demonstration” and, amazingly, reported that “The expected violence did not occur.”

Videos of the attacks:

________________________________________________________________

This is just the beginning.  As long as Western governments around the world continue to encourage and propagate Islamic victimology, while simultaneously excusing their violence, we can be assured that things are going to get worse and these now shocking events will become commonplace.  You need only notice how the majority of the anti-Israel crowd cheers the attacks on the peaceful pro-Israel group.

When Will Our Luminaries Stop Making Excuses For Terrorism?

by WrathofG-d ( 13 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Terrorism at February 3rd, 2009 - 2:44 pm

This week, President Obama decided to drop the “war on terror” idiom (as it could offend Muslims), and instead refer to our post 9/11 experience as an “ongoing struggle against extremism”.  His desire to ignore and rationalize the reality of the threat that the Western World  faces is unfortunately common.

In an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal, Judea Pearl, father of murdered journalist Daniel Pearl, discusses what he sees as an acceptance and normalization of Terrorism.

___________________________________________________________________________

Daniel Pearl after being abducted by Islamists.Daniel Pearl and the Normalization of Evil

By Judea Pearl

“…

But somehow, barbarism, often cloaked in the language of “resistance,” has gained acceptance in the most elite circles of our society. The words “war on terror” cannot be uttered today without fear of offense. Civilized society, so it seems, is so numbed by violence that it has lost its gift to be disgusted by evil.

I believe it all started with well-meaning analysts, who in their zeal to find creative solutions to terror decided that terror is not a real enemy, but a tactic. Thus the basic engine that propels acts of terrorism — the ideological license to elevate one’s grievances above the norms of civilized society — was wished away in favor of seemingly more manageable “tactical” considerations.

This mentality of surrender then worked its way through politicians like the former mayor of London, Ken Livingstone. In July 2005 he told Sky News that suicide bombing is almost man’s second nature. “In an unfair balance, that’s what people use,” explained Mr. Livingstone.

But the clearest endorsement of terror as a legitimate instrument of political bargaining came from former President Jimmy Carter. In his book “Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid,” Mr. Carter appeals to the sponsors of suicide bombing. “It is imperative that the general Arab community and all significant Palestinian groups make it clear that they will end the suicide bombings and other acts of terrorism when international laws and the ultimate goals of the Road-map for Peace are accepted by Israel.” Acts of terror, according to Mr. Carter, are no longer taboo, but effective tools for terrorists to address perceived injustices.

Mr. Carter’s logic has become the dominant paradigm in rationalizing terror. When asked what Israel should do to stop Hamas’s rockets aimed at innocent civilians, the Syrian first lady, Asma Al-Assad, did not hesitate for a moment in her response: “They should end the occupation.” In other words, terror must earn a dividend before it is stopped.

The media have played a major role in handing terrorism this victory of acceptability. Qatari-based Al Jazeera television, for example, is still providing Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi hours of free air time each week to spew his hateful interpretation of the Koran, authorize suicide bombing, and call for jihad against Jews and Americans.
