Tales from the Obama Boom: Durable Goods fall, Expensive Chevy Volt and SEC exempt from public disclosure

The greatest economic recovery in world history continues to fade. The much hyped Obama Economic Boom which the media, lead by Newsweek, was promoting to no end, continues to be exposed as a lie. The Progressive propaganda media wanted a narrative of Barack Hussein Obama restoring the American economy. It has not materialized that way and in fact, the 3rd World style policies are burying us in debt. Unlike the media, which calls the decline in durable goods unexpected, the recent bad economic numbers don’t shock me. Debt and government spending are not paths to prosperity.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – New orders for long-lasting U.S. manufactured goods unexpectedly fell for a second straight month in June, posting their largest decline since August, further evidence economic growth cooled in the second quarter.

The Commerce Department said on Wednesday durable goods orders fell 1.0 percent after a revised 0.8 percent drop in May.

Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast orders increasing 1.0 percent in June from May’s previously reported 0.6 percent fall.

“The number was weaker than expected and it could add to the idea that the economy is slipping into a double dip recession,” said Bruce Bittles, chief investment strategist at Robert W. Baird & Co. in Nashville.

The Obama boom was a mirage and a lie. Like all myths, it crumbles in the face of reality.  The economic policies of Barack Hussein Obama and his Progressive cohorts are failing and as recent polls suggest, Americans are no longer buying it.

In another sign of economic failure, General Motors which is owned by the Obama regime has introduced the Chevy Volt. This car was hyped as the savior of the American auto industry.  The problem is that the asking price is pretty steep in a depressed economy. The starting price is $41,000! That’s right despite government subsidies and control, they still made a very expensive care. Nissan which is privately owned came out with its electric car with a more reasonable at $32,000. This is another example of government inefficiency reminiscent of the Yugo and Trabant.

Will these Progressives ever learn?

Update: The SEC is now saying that it is exempt from public disclosures in the new Financial regulation bill.

So much for transparency.

Under a little-noticed provision of the recently passed financial-reform legislation, the Securities and Exchange Commission no longer has to comply with virtually all requests for information releases from the public, including those filed under the Freedom of Information Act.

The law, signed last week by President Obama, exempts the SEC from disclosing records or information derived from “surveillance, risk assessments, or other regulatory and oversight activities.” Given that the SEC is a regulatory body, the provision covers almost every action by the agency, lawyers say. Congress and federal agencies can request information, but the public cannot.

That transparent Obama regime and it’s phony economic boom!

The Progressive Propaganda Media

The Tranzi Totalitarian Progressive movement has its reach in all facets of society. They currently control our government, education system, entertainment industry and most importantly, our media. Their cover has been blown with the release of the JournoList emails. This was an online hub where Progressive journalists would coordinate talking points and their smears. This is the smoking gun that exposes the leftist propaganda network.

My guess is that this and other revelations about JournoList will deepen the distrust of the national press. True, participants in the online clubhouse appear to hail chiefly from the media’s self-identified left wing. But its founder, Ezra Klein, is a prominent writer for the Washington Post. Mr. Klein shut down JournoList last month—a wise decision.

It’s thanks to Tucker Carlson’s Daily Caller website that we know something about JournoList, though the emails among the liberal journalists were meant to be private. (Mr. Carlson hasn’t revealed how he obtained the emails.) In June, the Daily Caller disclosed a series of JournoList musings by David Weigel, then a Washington Post blogger assigned to cover conservatives. His emails showed he loathes conservatives, and he was subsequently fired.

Read it all: The Vast Left-Wing Media Conspiracy

2010 will go down as the anno horribalis of the Progressive movement. The Obama Boom lie has been exposed and his ratings have collapsed. The Tea Party movement has become a threat to leftists in both parties. Things are falling apart and the JournoList scandal is just another wheel coming off.

Hope and Change was a scam

by Rodan ( 258 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Democratic Party, Election 2008, Elections 2010, Liberal Fascism, Progressives at July 6th, 2010 - 3:00 pm

Hope and Change was the Progressive mantra during the 2008 elections. It’s goal was to con the public into voting for Barack Hussein Obama and making it seem as if he was a post partisan president. It worked and the Progressive controlled Democratic party was swept into power. As soon as the Leftists showed their true colors, the regime began to lose support. The hope and change mantra was nothing but a deceptive lie and in reality it was a sham to impose a radical Transnationalist Totalitarian agenda. Many Americans realized this and joined the Tea Party resistance movement against the regime. Obama’s approval ratings have collapsed from their highs in the upper 60′s and are stuck in the mid 40′s. In reality it should be lower, but the Progressive propaganda media and their lies of an Obama boom keeps some of these people to still have hope. Well at this point if you still have hope in Obama, then I have beachfront property to sell you in Phoenix.

(Picture Hat Tip: The People’s Cube)

The hope that fired up the election of Barack Obama has flickered out, leaving a national mood of despair and disappointment. Americans are dispirited over how wrong things are and uncertain they can be made right again. Hope may have been a quick breakfast, but it has proved a poor supper. A year and a half ago Obama was walking on water. Today he is barely treading water. Then, his soaring rhetoric enraptured the nation. Today, his speeches cannot lift him past a 45 percent approval rating.

There is a widespread feeling that the government doesn’t work, that it is incapable of solving America’s problems. Americans are fed up with Washington, fed up with Wall Street, fed up with the necessary but ill-conceived stimulus program, fed up with the misdirected healthcare program, and with pretty much everything else. They are outraged and feel that the system is not a level playing field, but is tilted against them. The millions of unemployed feel abandoned by the president, by the Democratic Congress, and by the Republicans.

The American people wanted change, and who could blame them? But now there is no change they can believe in. Sixty-two percent believe we are headed in the wrong direction—a record during this administration. All the polls indicate that anti-Washington, anti-incumbent sentiment is greater than it has been in many years. For the first time, Obama’s disapproval rating has topped his approval rating. In a recent CBS News poll, there is a meager 15 percent approval rating for Congress. In all polls, voters who call themselves independents have swung against the administration and against incumbents.

Read the rest: Obama Is Barely Treading Water

The regime of Barack Hussein Obama in reality could care less about the American public. Their agenda is to transform America into a 3rd World style Neo-Feudal system with lords and serfs. Even should the Republicans win Congress in the fall, the lame duck session will be dangerous as the Progressives will pass as much as they can. Hope and change was a lie, just like the ideology of Progressivism.

Why the Obama Boom never materialized

by Rodan ( 131 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Democratic Party, Economy, Misery Index, Progressives at June 30th, 2010 - 2:00 pm

The Progressive Propaganda Media had been pushing the theme of an Obama Boom since last summer. When the GDP stopped declining and job losses stemmed, the Media declared we were entering a Boom. Magazines and newspapers were heralding the success of the Stimulus Bill and claiming that Obama had saved America. Article after article was coming out trumpeting this so called Boom and they were comparing it to the 90′s boom. Reality however has unmasked it as a lie. The stock market has tanked, consumer confidence has collapsed, home sales have crashed, private sector job growth has stagnated and our debt keeps rising. Indications are that the economy is slowing down again, thus increasing the likelihood of a double dip recession. The Progressive economic policies of Barack Hussein Obama have failed!

The administration’s stimulus program has failed. Growth is slow and unemployment remains high. The president, his friends and advisers talk endlessly about the circumstances they inherited as a way of avoiding responsibility for the 18 months for which they are responsible.

But they want new stimulus measures—which is convincing evidence that they too recognize that the earlier measures failed. And so the U.S. was odd-man out at the G-20 meeting over the weekend, continuing to call for more government spending in the face of European resistance.

The contrast with President Reagan’s antirecession and pro-growth measures in 1981 is striking. Reagan reduced marginal and corporate tax rates and slowed the growth of nondefense spending. Recovery began about a year later. After 18 months, the economy grew more than 9% and it continued to expand above trend rates.

Two overarching reasons explain the failure of Obamanomics. First, administration economists and their outside supporters neglected the longer-term costs and consequences of their actions. Second, the administration and Congress have through their deeds and words heightened uncertainty about the economic future. High uncertainty is the enemy of investment and growth.

The Obama boom was a mirage invented by the media to create false confidence and this lead to growth. However it didn’t work as teh public saw no improvement and are now again saving money. The problem is not Israeli Public Relations

by Speranza ( 142 Comments › )
Filed under Israel, Leftist-Islamic Alliance, Media at June 28th, 2010 - 3:00 pm

First it would help if Israel were a bit more proactive with the P.R. There have been several very good Israeli spokespeople in the past (the best being Benjamin Netanyahu) including a woman colonel name Miri Eisen and another woman named Lieutenant Colonel Avital Leibovich. However the videos that the IDF posted about the Gaza flotilla as well as the satirical “We Con the World” videos have been a huge help. The problem is that those who complain about bad Israeli responses to media biases are presupposing that much of the media and European opinion  are predisposed to even listening  to the Israeli point of view.

by Ted Belman

When Israel loses yet another PR battle, many of her friends complain that she is partly to blame because she is woefully inept when it comes to PR. I am not one of them.

Glenn Jasper, Ruder Finn Israel, recently suggested that Israel should have all its spokesmen deliver the same message. After all, that’s what the Palestinians do. That might be a good idea, except that Israel is a nation of presidents, and each president will deliver his or her own message. They can’t be disciplined.

Alex Fishman suggested that Israel should consider the PR battle as more important than the military battle and organize accordingly.

Hence, the manager of this war on our side should not be the army via the IDF spokesman, but rather, someone on the highest national level, with the best professionals, who would have the knowledge and ability to write the “scripts” for the war and enforce them on all our executive arms, including the army.

Good as these suggestions are, they don’t go to the heart of the matter.

To start with, there is a coalition of forces, including anti-Semites, leftists and Islamists, that is dedicated to Israel’s destruction. They couldn’t care less about truth and justice, so a better PR campaign would be irrelevant. Then there is the main stream media, which presents news to support their agenda rather than the truth. The fact that they suppressed the flotilla videos, which made Israel’s case better than a thousand words could have, is testimony to this fact. They have constructed a narrative in support of their agenda, and any facts not in keeping with it are ignored.

[...]

Iran and Syria also learned this lesson. They could keep killing Americans in Iraq as long as they denied their complicity. The U.S. rarely called them on this because if she did, she would have to do something about it.

[...]

This is not to say that Israel should cease its PR efforts. She shouldn’t. She should continue to provide her friends with the truth so that they maintain their friendship, lest they be infected as well. Notwithstanding all the demonization she is subjected to and the realpolitik, she has managed to keep the goodwill of the American people and others who value truth and justice. Ultimately, this is her trump card.

Geithner admits there is no Obama Boom!

Just a month ago the US media was singing the praises of the Obama economic boom. They were claiming an unprecedented era in economic prosperity was emerging in America. Well a disappointing jobs report, fall in housing sales and increasing health-care premiums due to Obamacare have ended this talk. In a shocking revelation of the truth, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner admits the US economy is fragile!

US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Tuesday said the US economy was “still going through an incredibly difficult period,” as he warned the impact of the crisis would be “lasting.”

“Millions of Americans are still looking for work and are suffering from the damage of a deep recession. The impact of this crisis will be lasting,” he said in prepared testimony to Congress.

While heralding progress in unwinding government stimulus spending, Geithner stressed the United States was still not out of the woods.

As much as Joe Biden wants to promote the recovery, the truth says otherwise. There is NO Obama Boom. It was a lie started by Newsweek to help the Democrats in the fall.

In other news the US spent $2 million promoting condom use among drug addicts in Kazakhstan. Your tax money at work… for other nations.

Retail sales decline as Obama Boom continues.

Filed under Ahmadinejad, Barack Obama, Democratic Party, Economy, Elections 2010, Iran, Leftist-Islamic Alliance, Media, Misery Index, Progressives at June 11th, 2010 - 10:30 am

The greatest economic recovery since the Carter years continues. Retail sales declined in May, supposedly unexpectedly, as the Progressive Propaganda Media’s spin of a booming economy is falling apart. This is the second report in a week, including last week’s job numbers that is exposing the made up Obama boom.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Sales at retailers unexpectedly fell in May for the first time since September following a record slump in purchases of building materials, adding to fears the economic recovery was losing some steam.

The Commerce Department said total retail sales dropped 1.2 percent, the largest decline since September, after rising by an upwardly revised 0.6 percent in April. Sales in April were previously reported to have increased 0.4 percent.

Read the rest: Unexpected decline in retail sales fans recovery fears

Here’s what the media is really worried about and it’s not the stagnant US economy.

Restoring the economy to health is a key priority for President Barack Obama and voter anguish over the slow pace of the recovery could inflict heavy losses on the Democratic Party in November’s Congressional elections.

It’s all about Obama and the Democrats electoral situation the media is concerned with. Clearly Obama’s economic policies are failing. The problem with the US economy was too much debt, outsourcing of good jobs and stagnant wages. Obama has addressed none of these and until they are addressed the US will continue its descent into economic has been status. The Stimulus put us in more debt and this is capital sucked out of the private markets that should be going to investments.

The Obama Boom is over and we hardly knew it!

Update:In other news, Barack Hussein Obama  is pressuring Congress to weaken the Iran sanctions bill that is being worked on. The fact Ahmadinejad once again called for Israel’s extermination doesn’t matter to the Obama regime.

The Obama administration, which labored for months to impose tough new United Nations sanctions against Iran, now is pushing in the opposite direction against Congress as it crafts U.S. sanctions that the White House fears may go too far.

Administration officials have begun negotiations with congressional leaders, who are working on versions of House and Senate bills that would punish companies that sell refined petroleum products to Iran or help the country’s oil industry.

As always the Obama regime rides to the rescue of the Ayatollahs.

No Job creation from the Obama Boom

by Rodan ( 141 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Communism, Democratic Party, Liberal Fascism, Progressives, Tranzis at June 8th, 2010 - 7:00 pm

The Myth of the Obama Boom is over. Wall Street continues to decline as it realizes the emperor has no clothes. The once great and heralded economic boom, doesn’t exist. It was invented by Rahm Emanuel and the Progressive Propaganda Media. Last Friday’s anemic jobs report showed 41,000 private sector jobs. A dismal figure and the one that exposed the lie of the Obama Economic Boom!

This boom in government spending was supposed to produce a boom in the private economy. So far, we’re one boom short. The May jobs report is a perfect distillation of Obamanomics, with its emphasis on short-term help to the economy — the stimulus package, the cash-for-clunkers program, etc. — that is as sustainable as a sugar high.

The headline jobs number of 431,000 looked good, but 411,000 were temporary census jobs. They will soon disappear, unless we want to employ Americans in the counting of one another in perpetuity. The 41,000 new private-sector jobs were about 60,000 short of what it takes just to absorb the natural growth of the labor force.

The driving force in the private economy has been companies pulling back on the liquidation of their inventories, a natural effect that would’ve occurred even absent President Obama’s various stimuli. The reaction of the Democrats to the failure of all the stimulus is to support yet more stimulus.

Read the rest: Where are the jobs?

The Obama Boom is just another in a series of lies to prop up the failing regime of Barack Hussein Obama. The American public are tired of the lies yet our press keeps deceiving like claiming Obama is still popular. The press will do anything for their glorious leader!

The Obama Boom produces 41,000 Private Sector jobs in May and Rubio’s Statement on Israel

The greatest economic boom in American history continues its torrid pace of job creation. The media calls it the Obama Boom and Progressives are running around saying that things have never been better. Well, this great economic growth produced astronomical GDP growth of 3% in the 1st quarter! The Obama Boom is historic and living standards are rising at a pace not seen since the Carter years! For the month of May, the boom produced 41,000 Private Sector jobs!

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — Nonfarm payrolls grew by a seasonally adjusted 431,000 in May, but virtually all the new jobs were temporary jobs at the U.S. Census, leaving private-sector hiring very weak, the Labor Department reported Friday.

Excluding 411,000 temporary Census workers, payrolls rose by 20,000 in May. According to the survey of 400,000 business establishments, private-sector payrolls increased by 41,000, the fifth straight monthly gain.

“A disappointing private payroll number to be sure,” said John Ryding and Conrad DeQuadros of RDQ Economics.

The payrolls growth came in weaker than the 540,000 increase expected by economists surveyed by MarketWatch. See our complete economic calendar and consensus forecast.

Read the rest: Hiring weak in May except for Census workers, U.S. says

That great Obama recovery. The media is spinning that fact unemployment went down from 9.9% to 9.7%. This decline is due to the fact people are leaving the labor market after realizing the media is lying about the Obama Boom.

The decline wasn’t particularly good news, however, because it reflected 322,000 people dropping out of the labor force, partially reversing April’s 805,000 increase. While unemployment dropped by 287,000 to 15 million for May, employment also fell, dipping 35,000 to 139.4 million.

The truth of the matter is that there is no Obama Economic Boom. It is a lie put out there by the Progressive Propaganda media to prop up Barack Hussein Obama and create false confidence in the American public. Hiring 411,000 Census workers is not the path to prosperity for America. The mask is falling off of this Progressive lie about our economy and hopefully the American public will express their anger by voting out the current Congress in November.

On another note  Republican Senate Candidate Marco Rubio, expressed his full support for Israel.

Below is his Press Release:

I am alarmed that our long-standing solidarity with Israel has been thrown into doubt by a White House that seems to be playing a proverbial game of jump ball, whereby the world wonders on which side America will stand. Of course, we should stand with Israel. Doing otherwise sends a dangerously emboldening signal to Israel’s enemies.

Sadly, this recent flotilla event is only the latest example of the extent to which our special relationship with Israel has been diminished under the current Administration. Iran and its terrorist proxies have surely been watching approvingly as Washington continues these misguided policies.

As many in the international community use this flotilla incident to predictably rally against Israel, it is important to stand firmly behind our ally. In no way can the U.S. allow a path to be cleared that would enable the United Nations or any international body to discredit and diminish our democratic friend and partner. If Israel’s right to self-defense is undermined by misguided efforts to lift its legal and necessary blockade of Gaza, which serves to stop Hamas from arming itself with deadly weapons, there will be lasting consequences not only for Israel, but also for the U.S. and the entire world.

Make no mistake: while we await all the facts to emerge about this incident, it is clear the sponsors and participants of the Free Gaza Movement’s Flotilla have been thoroughly documented in their support of violent extremism. A far cry from being “humanitarian relief workers,” the activists on board the Mavi Marmara had a cache of bulletproof vests, night vision goggles and gas masks. This was no humanitarian mission.

Additionally, knowing that the blockade of Gaza exists for a legitimate reason and that Israel already provides avenues for true humanitarian efforts to reach the Palestinian people, this latest incident is a striking provocation by Israel’s opponents.

For the entirety of its existence, Israel has been targeted for annihilation by its enemies and we must never do anything to undermine its right to protect its people. As enemies such as Iran develop nuclear weapons that pose an existential threat to Israel, America has a responsibility to continue serving as its strongest and most steadfast ally.

Israel is a valued American ally and our closest and most reliable friend in the Middle East. Israel is neither the problem nor the obstacle to peace, and it should not be treated as one. By strengthening the U.S.-Israel alliance, we also strengthen the moderate, pro-U.S. elements in the Arab world. If the U.S. shows itself to be an unreliable ally to Israel, moderate Arab states will take note that they cannot trust the U.S. to be a reliable friend for them either. This is unacceptable for the future of U.S. security, Israel’s existence and the prospects for a lasting peace in the Middle East.

The Republicans are blowing it by not exposing the lie of the Obama Boom

by Rodan ( 203 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Democratic Party, Economy, Elections 2010, Financial, Investments, Media, Misery Index, Progressives, Republican Party at May 27th, 2010 - 11:40 am

The unprecedented economic boom unleashed by Obama’s debt spending as claimed by Newsweek and Bob Beckel, has slowed from 5.6% in the 4th quarter of 2009 to just 3% in the 1st quarter of 2010. The Stock Market has declined 11% in the last month due to the European debt crisis and Obama’s spending policies. These facts don’t matter. The media is still pushing the Obama boom theme and it seems to be having an effect. Two months ago the GOP had an average lead in the Congressional races of 3-5%, now in most polls they are trailing the Democrats. Clearly the Progressive media’s propaganda is working and the GOP is blowing it by not getting aggressive. The 3% growth is being called healthy in contrast to the Bush years when it was called stagnant.

WASHINGTON (AP) – The economic rebound last quarter turned out to be slower than first thought, one of the reasons unemployment is likely to stay high this year.

The economy grew at a 3 percent annual rate from January to March, the Commerce Department said Thursday. That was slightly weaker than an initial estimate of 3.2 percent a month ago. The new reading, based on more complete information, also fell short of economists’ forecast for stronger growth of 3.4 percent.

The reasons for the small downgrade: consumers spent less than first estimated. Same goes for business spending on equipment and software. And, the nation’s trade deficit was a bigger drag on economic activity.

In a separate report, the Labor Department said Thursday that the number of newly laid off workers filings claims for unemployment benefits fell by 14,000 to 460,000 last week. The decline came after claims had risen by a revised 28,000 in the previous week, the largest gain in three months.

The latest level of claims is slightly higher than it was at the start of the year. That shows the nation’s workers are still facing tough times even though the overall economy is growing again.

NY Times hails Progressive Era

by Rodan ( 29 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Democratic Party, Election 2008, Liberal Fascism, Progressives, Tranzis at May 22nd, 2010 - 11:30 am

The Radical Totalitarian Progressive agenda is being shoved down the throats of the American people. From the eugenics based Obamacare to the ‘borrow massively from China act’ aka the Stimulus Bill, the Progressives are imposing their will despite polls. The NY Times, which is their main propaganda paper, is hailing this as a new era. They proclaim it a Progressive era. This is gloating that they are ruling against the will of the people.

With the Senate’s passage of financial regulation, Congress and the White House have completed 16 months of activity that rival any other since the New Deal in scope or ambition. Like the Reagan Revolution or Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society, the new progressive period has the makings of a generational shift in how Washington operates.

First came a stimulus bill that, while aimed mainly at ending a deep recession, also set out to remake the nation’s educational system and vastly expand scientific research. Then President Obama signed a health care bill that was the biggest expansion of the safety net in 40 years. And now Congress is in the final stages of a bill that would tighten Wall Street’s rules and probably shrink its profit margins.

They are celebrating the imposition of a Neo-Feudal system on America. This is the reason the NY Times is a collapsing paper. They are against the American people.

It’s For the Children: UN Moving Forward with Internet Tax

by snork ( 128 Comments › )

And they’re doing it in the daylight. The UN, through the WHO, is drafting a “suite of proposals” to tax the internet in general, and online transactions in particular, in order to provide a separate source of “tens of billions” for the WHO. Now, who could possibly argue with more money for health?

The World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations’ public health arm, is moving full speed ahead with a controversial plan to impose global consumer taxes on such things as Internet activity and everyday financial transactions like paying bills online — while its spending soars and its own financial house is in disarray.

The aim of its taxing plans is to raise “tens of billions” of dollars for WHO that would be used to radically reorganize the research, development, production and distribution of medicines around the world, with greater emphasis on drugs for communicable diseases in poor countries.

The irony is that the WHO push to take a huge bite out of global consumers comes as the organization is having a management crisis of its own, juggling finances, failing to use its current resources efficiently, or keep its costs under control — and it doesn’t expect to show positive results in managing those challenges until a year from now, at the earliest.

That’s not the worst of it, by any means. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that once any UN agency has established the means to tax directly, there will be more, and more, and more.

The story lists item after item of corruption and mismanagement in the WHO, but even that misses the bigger picture. This is presented as morally untouchable. And once it’s established, the IPCC, and UNRWA, all the rest of the whorehouse will be able to take your money directly, without any fig leaf of accountability.

Don’t let the bastards do it.

The Growing Cult of Obama

I have been pushing since last summer the concept of Barack Hussein Obama as a Totalitarian 3rd World style Progressive. The way the media adulates over him is pathetic, even as he disregards them. He uses demagogue style language and is very divisive. Despite all this at least 45% of this nation worships him as a divine being. This is nothing new as many Progressive leaders like Stalin, Hitler, Mao,  Castro, Kim Il Sung, Mugabe, Idi Amin, Mussolini, Peron and Chavez all have had cults that revolved around them. Obama is is being worshiped like this on a global scale. A British and American company plan to make a mini-series based on his life.

Open TV and Film, the London-based production company, is developing a TV mini-series based on Barack Obama’s days on the campaign trail. ITV Studios USA is co-developing the project. Simon Shaps, chairman of Open, has optioned Newsweek journalist Richard Woolfe’s book Renegade: The Making of a President. The author was granted unique access to Obama during the campaign. Shaps – who used to be ITV’s director of television — told me: “It is early days, but we are sure there will no shortage of ideas for who plays the President.”

The worship of Barack Hussein Obama reveals the Totalitarian nature of Progressives. They revolve around a savior and treat him as divine. Propaganda is pushed in support of their leaders. NY Times continues to Push The Obama Boom theme

With the Progressive Democrats in political trouble, they’re up to their old tricks. With Arizona passing their tough Immigration law, the Leftist media is now trying to scar Hispanics. Harry Reid is pushing for an Amnesty Bill to get Latin votes for the midterms. However, this is not their main weapon. The Tranzi Progressive media is now promoting the Economy. They are exaggerating some signs of rebound and are proclaiming an Obama economic boom. The NY Times once again has another story promoting this talking point.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The docks are humming again at this sprawling Pacific port, with clouds of golden dust billowing off the piles of grain spilling into the bellies of giant tankers.

“Things are looking up,” said Dan Broadie, a longshoreman. No longer killing time at the union hall while waiting for work, instead he is guiding a mechanized spout pouring 44,000 tons of wheat into the Arion SB, bound for the Philippines.

At malls from New Jersey to California, shoppers are snapping up electronics and furniture, as fears of joblessness yield to exuberance over rising stock prices. Tractor trailers and railroad cars haul swelling quantities of goods through transportation corridors, generating paychecks for truckers and repair crews.

Expect to keep hearing how great the economy is. When the economy was doing well in 2005, the Tranzi Progressive media kept saying how bad it was. They talked the economy down in the media during the Bush years. Now they are talking it up in hopes of creating confidence. This is an example of Leftist propaganda.

This is just another example of how the Totalitarian Progressives twist and distort the news for their convenience. When George W. Bush was president and the economy recovered in 2003/2004, the NY times and other Totalitarian Progressive propaganda outlets kept saying the economy was bad. They emphasized low wages and blamed Bush for it instead of globalization which was the real culprit. They kept comparing Bush’s to Clinton’s economy when that was a dishonest argument. In the 90′s globalization hadn’t taken full effect, and by the 2000′s it did. Bush’s mistake was emphasizing tax cuts and not major tax reform to make American competitive and incentivize creating jobs with good wages here. This was not his fault as no economic expert on the right or left knew the extent of America’s economic disadvantage. Now that Barack Hussein Obama is President they are proclaiming an economic boom!

The American economy appears to be in a cyclical recovery that is gaining strength. Firms have begun to hire and consumer spending seems to be accelerating.

That is what usually happens after particularly sharp recessions, so it is surprising that many commentators, whether economists or politicians, seem to doubt that such a thing could possibly be happening.

Usually you can depend on the White House to view the economy with the most rose-tinted glasses available. But it was not until last week, after a strong employment report, that President Obama started to sound a little optimistic.
